Born, raised, and currently IN SoCal...@Zombo: You must not be in Cali. STMs and subohm tanks are everywhere. LA (where I currently reside), OC, SF, Palo Alto (where I am originally from), restaurants, bars, Home Depot, outdoor malls. I notice subohm vapers everywhere. There are so many vape shops around here that I wonder how they all stay in business. But the common factor amongst them all is the subohm tank or two or three or more on retail display catering to the demand.
Been vaping since 2010.
I can back you up on subohm vapers being very plentiful...however, I would be willing to put money on the fact that 85-90% of them are subohm vapers simply because a local shop sold that to them.
They didn't "arrive" at subohm vaping after years of trial and error, and riding the evolutionary wave of vaping technology over the years.
Nope. They got these setups from some pimple-faced late teen/early 20-something, who sold them on "Clouds bro!" and failed to educate them on battery safety, or proper ANYTHING.
Heck...one day, a dude walks into my local shop, and asks the guy "Hey I'm getting a burnt flavor. Should I add more juice?"
Out of sheer morbid curiosity, I looked to see what setup he had.
It was an Atlantis V2.
Turns out, the idiot had his ChinaMod Special running at 85 watts, and didn't know how to fill it up.
SUPER TYPICAL of the average Orange County/LA County vaper.
