Ok, Ithaka clone users, a question on a very small part. I just received my Rainbow Heaven Ithaka today. My question is on the nut inside the ceramic. Scott has it flat side down with the grooves lined up with the ceramic cup slots so that excess juice flows into the collector tank. That makes sense. Bishopheals places an oring under the flat part of the nut to prevent gurgling from the juice in the ceramic cup bubbling at the point of the slots in the ceramic cup. That also makes sense. JunkyRock13 goes flat side up with the grooves lined up under his parallel wicks to direct airflow through the center hole to between the wicks and the side grooves directing airflow to each wick. That also makes sense. Altogether, it makes my head hurt. How do you place that nut in the ceramic cup?

The nut goes with the wide part in the bottom. Mine on my Ithaka is adjusted to expose the drain slots. Why would some body put an o-ring there. I actually doubt if it makes much difference, Oddy and Term are closed.

IMHO the oring bishopheals did in his video would cause more gurgling...never really cared for his opinion anyway...can barely sit through his videos. That eliminates part of the design, which is a good one. I stand with dw, flat side down with the notches line up with the drain grooves. Mine hasn't leaked or gurgled once and I am just finishing my first tank.

Ok, tried it out this morning, and the conversion kit will NOT work with the Ithaka clone. Because of the new style locking ring the ceramic assembly screws into, the part that actually screws in to the Ithaka base, the conversions center pin isn't long enough.

Holy crap!! After a successful vaping session with the Vochu kit and German silica, I moved-on this morning to just a single piece of XC-116 ceramic wick, and 4 wraps of AWG 30... Can you say vape-bliss? I have the coil running right down between the posts close to air-hole, with just enough wick to tap over the juice channels.... DAMNNNNN what a vape... :vapor: :D

The trick is to wrap the wire around just enough to make contact with the wick.. No tighter. No pin or paper clip used in wrapping..

BTW.. Has anyone figured out the size of the post screws? I'd like to replace mine with Phillips-heads.. :)

VERY sweet trifecta! :) I see you're running the DT MP on the Herc... Looks good! I have mine on too. It's nice the juice control still works well using it huh?

I'm planning to pop for the AFC cap made for my EA Mod to run my 2nd kit (whenever it's ready) in another one of my Term C's to pair with it... ;)

glad someones enjoying their term haha. i was so surprised that it started leaking again! i had 2 new coils set up. 2 new o rings and both had the same problem. its like being back to when i first got my terms.

the top is so tight on mine too. ive been building it exactly how i used to and it started giving me problems again, this time, im really stumped.

but like i said, i also have the short mouthpiece so i took off the long one and took off one tank and started using it in short mode. NO LEAKS! mind you, its the same coil.

I just got the new o-rings in the mail everyone was suggesting in this thread for the terminator leaking issue. It's definitely a tight fit up top... I placed one in and still get the leak out the bottom of the 510. It's not a big leak, just a small amount that looks almost speckled like It's hot juice condensation or something. I run 2mm ekowool doubled up at the coil section... so there's 4mm total in the area that matters when it would come to flooding. I don't get any gurgling or major leaks, just a bit out the bottom everytime. I can leave the atty sitting overnight and It's bone dry on the 510 the next day, but as soon as I place it on a mod and vape for 3mins, take the atty off... and there's the juice.

Not sure what's going one. I guess it wouldn't be to big of a deal, but I'm rocking it with the SG1 hybrid kit. So the juice is ending up directly on my battery.

Probably too much wick at the top... That's the nice thing running the Term C with the MKB-TS / GG Oddy to GGTS base... it has a collector tank to catch those pesky dribbles.... ;) IIRC, the Oddy didn't even have a 510 connector when it first came out.. It, and the GGTS were designed to work together.. :) (Kudos to Imeo)

Haha....luckily for me, not so much for you, I have a second Term-C the extra kit belongs in. These aren't going anywhere! :D (though I MIGHT let ONE go if I get my hands on a kayfun lite. ;)

I picked up a couple Sentinel V3 Mods from Fastech. The price was great and they have really low voltage drop.

A bonus that I did not anticipate is the fit and optimization with my Terminator-C. The top cap has a recessed 510 connector and a floating pin. You can dial in the smallest possible gap, no more than one or two RCH's :D

I'm not "trying to disagree" but I'm thinking not enough wick across the top channel.

That's what "discussion" is all about.... ;) I was thinking perhaps there is too much wick on the top, causing it to become overly saturated while drawing on it pulls more juice to the wick... Then, some drips down into the ceramic. While idle, there is no draw going on, and the juice stays absorbed without dripping down..
