My Terms have not seen the use they used to since my Ithaka arrived. I really like my Ithaka, but the SVC Term's flavor and vapor can certainly hold their own against the Ithaka. Gurgling/leaking problems aside, once you get them dialed in the SVC Terms are great. imho

Every once in a while I bring out a Term to put Ithaka back in it's place. I have gotten Ithaka to work much better now than when I first got it but only vapor production is better with my Ithaka, flavor is still way behind the Term's. I must say that it doesn't make sense to me as Ithaka is just an Oddy with improved features. Just my opinion though.

It's most likely an issue with the center post of the Vamo as it is prone to breaking, being pushed down into the housing, causing shorts, and otherwise just sucking. I've owned six Vamos, all had the same issue. You gotta treat that center post like it's made of glass and just screw down your atty enough to make contact...any further and you will have issues. I'm down to two Vamos now and will be happy when they are all gone.

Nice...anything is better than what comes installed in the Vamo. Let us know how it works out with the Term.

Everyone is mounting just the Terminator base on their mod then screwing in the repairable part till it makes contact with the positive post of the mod and locking the ring down, right?
A heavy atomizer dancing around on the positive post has destroyed quite a few grommets.

No, I have always left the positive post out past the threaded piece by a couple of millimeters or so. Never had an issue. Maybe the Darwin is just built with better parts. That said, I was thinking of getting a Vamo as a backup and this is making me reconsider.

The procedure I described is the proper way, it would be in your best interests to give it a try.
The base of the Terminator needs to rest on the "crown" of the mods 510 connection.

I think you are on to something there. I've had mixed luck with my Terms & have begun to question that seal between the pos. post and the base. I have one I refuse to rebuild because it hasn't gurgled, fearing I may not get it back again. I think the procedure you described is the ticket! It's been harsh thinking I've got it, only to have the mystery gurgle pop up. Thanks for helping us all out with this.

On some builds I get perfect flow and no leaking and perfect hits - then I used a 1.5 ohm pre built coil from avid vaper and I'm getting tons of red could even with the mouth piece opened all the way - I wonder if the coils are wrapped too tight which restricts juice -


at first they were loose and barely touched the wick so I tightened them and then all of the sudden ever hit I'm getting red coils - very odd - will have to play with it . Never had this issue when I used my own wire and wrapped myself vs the pre built coils

I lost my original and had to pick up a 9x2 o-ring from Ace Hardware that turned out to be a MUCH better fit for the top cap/mouth piece.

I would like to get my hands on one of those codys....where are they from? The design looks much better IMO.

But I must say I have never had one single issue with my v1 term. The v2 though, has been nothing but issues...tight draw, not wicking fast enough, glowing coils....it's not being used right now after the third rebuild in less days....

I've had the exact opposite experience with my V2. No leaking or gurgling. Way better air flow. Nice warm vape.

Yea the wicking fast enough issue is what's getting me - my first 10 builds were great and now out of no where I'm getting dry coils (red coils ) with the MP opened up all the way

Close the juice control down tight...... then crack open the top just a little and let some air in. Then slowly open up the juice and see if you can get the wick primed again. Had this happen a couple of times, seems to be too much vacuum in the tanks. Essentially it vapor locks. Anyways once you get a good hit close off the juice (so not to flood) and then tighten down the cap again.

Then again it might be something funky with the wick, if you are careful you can always pull the wick and re-thread a fresh one in the coil.

So I finally broke down and picked up a Term-c V1, I'm a genesis user but I'm going on a road trip in a few weeks and needed something more travel friendly. This thing is fitting the bill so far! Wrapped and welded a 28ga 0.7ohm coil w/32ga nickel legs around 2/2.5mm wicks (1clipped at the ceramic). After this tank I'm gonna take off the knurling to get rid of the bubble and buy a couple more.

Also keep the connections between your wires inside the cup, if they're jammed in the channels with the wick it can seriously impede the juice flow.
