Just got the email too ! Little pricey - isn't a Penelope 150$ from imeo directly ? I can only use these types of devices if they have clear tanks otherwise ill never know the juice level - and that's crucial for me In case I need to refill before work or before going out

I don't think stormy has it but I think avid vapor has the clear tanks for Penelope

Anyone else think that's a little costly ?

It is a bit pricey but it's a very solidly-machined device. They were similarly priced at vapor-freak and the direct-from-china resellers, so she's not gouging anyone.

Juice level isn't a big deal on a device like this because it's dead-easy to just fill it if you wonder how much is left. That and they seem to just sip juice. I go through about half the juice I was going through using gennies. Takes about 15 seconds to fill it (and you don't even need a needle tip bottle) and you're off.

Re: Highlander coil for Terminator.
Over in the GG Ithaka thread folks are doing dual coils were the coils from one touch the other with little or no change in resistance. This probably needs to be the first wrap touching the first wrap of the adjoining coil, or 2d, middle , last ect.
I have done it with Ithaka, so I will leave out the wick between the coils, I will do this soon and post results.

Edit: I think I'll add the extra piece of wick to the coil that is on the top side just as I do when making a single coil.
I finally got around to doing something different. What I tried to do was to widen the channels enough to accept 3 mm Ekowool but that wasn't going to happen even though I got it in there. Today I built two side by side dual coils/wicks with 2.5 mm silica a short piece added to the coil of each one just as I do my single coils. Mind you my channels are much wider than v2's, 100% sucess, reminds me of my Ithaka. I should have done some pics, maybe at work tonight I'll tear it down and take some.

Well costly compared to what? Not really anything else in the 59 to 75 dollar range like them. I have a penelope and if it works like/feels like a penelope, it's woth $75.

I don't believe Avid Vaper carries Kir Fanis stuff anymore, they just have the listings up still. Buy them at GR-Modders, it cost me $10 less to get the penelope v3 ice window and 47mm Oddy clear tank than it would to get them from Avid's listed price, that's including the expensive UPS shipping option.

Love the Kir Fanis stuff! On a list for the evic telescopic set right now. If I hadn't just sold my STURMMOD, I might be interested in the euphoria. But honestly, with my terms working so well, especially now with the gg base and MKB....probably wouldn't use it much anyway. Got a picollo/spheroid set up when I need something really small.

Here is my dual coil Term, 32 gauge NiChrome, .8 ohms, no warm up needed here, as usual it has better flavor than my Ithaka and now vapor production is as good as Ithaka.

I must be doing something wrong then...cause every time I make a dual coil, it's weak and doesn't power up fast enough. Never made a dual wick/coil in a term, just the highlander dual coil...NR/dual R/NR. I have a 1.2 ohm single coil in it right now, zero hesitation...I press the button, it fires right up.

3 ) if somevone have gr moders tank how much do they hold ml in 25 mm and 30 mm

If you had two of them they would both fire right up just like the single, 1.2 ohms x 2, thats what I've got in my Ithaka, .6 ohms

#1, it can have two metal or two plastic tanks, to use with one 25 mm tank you need the short mouthpiece.
#2, The mouthpiece besides being longer/shorter has a stop built onto the stem so you can't completely unscrew it so each tank or combination of tanks require the correct mouthpiece.
#3, the 25 mm only holds about 1.75 ml, the 30 mm holds about 4 ml, and the Term-C holds 6 or 7 ml.
#4, v2 Oddy/Term ceramics and v2 Oddy/Term housing will fit all Oddy's and Term's. Oddy/Term ceramic housing assembly can be put into Ithaka base with it's basic feeding ring but Ithaka housing assembly can't be used with Oddy/Term base due to the extra long center pin.

My short tanks are 23 mm not 25 mm. I also have a 27 mm and a 30 mm, the 30 is in need of replacement.

What size of silica did you use on this?and is this 4 strands in all,two short at the top,two that go thru the channels?thanks in advance

What I found interesting about this is that the resistance wires are touching - I thought that was a no-no?

I'm a relative Term noob, but I have an almost-highlander-style dual coil in a V2 Term-C working well. "Almost" because I didn't de-strand the wicks (3mm). I de-stranded them on my first highlander attempt, but didn't bother on my second - to no ill effect that I can tell.
