Far from perfect, it's my first micro coil, it works amazingly well.
It's 2.4 ohm 32 gauge so I stuck it on my much neglected SS Vamo

So yesterday morning I said that I was going to remove the ribbon wire coils that I had put in a few hours before. I guess I had a senior moment because what I replaced them with had a 0.35 ohms load, it actually worked pretty well but was kind of scary. I don't understand how I messed but I took them out directly. I kind of knew something wasn't right when I got slightly less than 2 wraps with 28 gauge, this was a dual coil setup.

So I need more silica wick. The silica I have is horrible. I got it from eBay a few months ago from someone in Germany I believe. No matter how much I torch it, it tastes like crap and doesn't get better ever. It also doesn't keep it's shape and unravels like crazy. Can anyone recommend some good places to buy some. I have a term v2 and hopefully a Hercules soon.

I haven't gotten around to anything "exotic" with coils yet. I'm surprised to be really enjoying the vape from one of Stormy's 1.8 ohm ready-wires around a single piece of 3mm German silica in the Term C. I'm on the 3rd tank now... The flavor and vapor production is quite nice. :vapor:

I started out close to 3 years ago with 510 and 306 attys.. That's about all there was (for my taste beside 801's) until cartos became popular. ;) I didn't like anything below 1.5 ohms then.. (prefer 1.8-2.2 ohms) I may try a low ohm for piss & giggles one day, but, I can't see the vape satisfying me any better than what I'm getting now, and I'd rather not tax my batteries on a daily basis.. I would try one of these ready-wires around a piece of XC-116, but I'm saving what I have left for my Kayfun upgrade builds when the kit arrives. ;)

Likewise here. I've tried a sub-ohm coil or two, but they were never any better than the 1.8's I build with my 34 gauge kanthal. Since I've got a nearly full spool of 30 gauge I might try microcoils one of these days just to say I tried them. But I doubt they'll be worth the extra effort when my vape already rocks so hard with fewer turns of much more pliable, easier to coil 34 gauge. And I usually get more tank refills on 34 gauge before my vape loses its rich flavor saturation than with thicker wire, regardless of resistance.

Well, I went a little nuts and decided to order that Hercules from Vaporfreak. Watched some videos on the Ithaka that make the device look quite nice. I still haven't mastered the Nautilus yet but what the hell, right?

I really think if I'm gonna try and use these attomizers regularly I need to invest in a wire welder. Can anyone here suggest a nice and easy one to use and where to obtain it?

Read every post....brought in a few from Stormy's.....NICE!!!

I may wind up buying 1 every month to mate to all my S13a's, and possible future MKB's, I do however wish there were tanks made of polypropylene, its nice to see my juice levels, and I am a bit spooked to run one with my menthol....so, using the SS tank for that one.

Running 3mm in channels with 2 additional pieces of 3mm within the coil, ended up with 1 ohm using 30guage, 3/2 wrap....chucked the mouth piece in my drill press and shaved off the knurling, and rounded over the top edge.....and also bored out the 2 air holes in the base to 1/16th....I like a airy draw, but I know I wont be able to match my IGO-l's with .6-.7 ohms and stock air hole with additional 2mm hole drilled above it.

Wrapping them lil NR-R-NR wires are a bit tough with me ol eyes and shaky hands, but will do for now until I can possibly get some of them Kayfun upgrades.

You know, Stormy has the ready wires....50 for like 8 or 9 bucks...I think.

I have a wire welder for joining the wires, so my twisting days are over. And in a few weeks I should have my kayfun conversion kits for both of my Terms.

I gave up and gave in.. I bankrupted myself and ordered the Term-C from stormy.

Now I can pack up all my other atty for more PIF's and hope to get an email about that "Nautilus Upgrade" out of poland, (Google translate continued to ruin the screen and firefox as I tried to learn more about applying, ordering, etc).

I think my silver nr wire is reacting to my juice (diy menthol) the wick is black all down the sides, if I use only the Term it leads to coughing by the end of the day and next morning, there is a black residue in the mouthpiece when swabed w/ q-tip, thanks for reading this far, is nickel nr the way to go ?
