We're just getting started... upgrades on the way (oddy fun, spotty, sotong shield).

DW, I FINALLY DREMMEL'D A CERAMIC!

Some xc-116 was acquired, and well it was big, so I took my dirtiest ceramic (thnx copper creek hb) and dremmel'd the channels deep and wide.

No leaks, no gurgles, just massive juice feeding resulting in at least 5-10% increase in flavor crediting the wick as well. Fun times.

While I'm no fan of Nextel , increasing the size of the channels is probably one of the easiest modifications you can make and achieve major performace gains.
After all the many time that I've mentioned it I believe you are the first to post that you did it. Maybe now others will try it.
Note, even though my channels are larger my wicks down the side channels are trimmed to about 2.5 mm to keep those channels loosely filled.

I actually just bought the right dremel bits last night. was planning on trying it, but I wanted to wait till I had either a backup ceramic, or a backup tank, I got a few term's in a co-op, so now I have parts to play with. I'll try it in the next couple days.

Just don't get in a hurry, let the speed do the work. I've not broken one as yet.

Mine too. But not the same item, same jail though(NY). It's here in San Diego PO now. 30 mm clear tank from GR Modders.
Monday's going to be a big day for my little mail box

ahh, I got a clear tank and mouthpiece from rampage a couple months ago. I didn't know you were in IB.. I grew up in the south SD area.

I just got a Term V2 that I haven't set up yet and was curious about using a smaller wick than is needed. Does juice then flow down the channel into the bottom under the ceramic holder? Or does the juice just stay in the channel keeping the wick in the channel wet? I'm currently using 2mm yarn in my V1 and trying to figure out if I want to stuff two strands into the V2 channel or just stay with on strand and keep it loose.

Ahhh.. Today's dilemma... I had everything in my cart at e-smokeguru to turn one of my Term-C's into an Ithaka, except the mouthpiece.

Ithaka Refilling Cap

Ithaka Rebuildable Part Ready

Ithaka small Cap

Ithaka Upper Body

Ithaka GGTS Base

I almost pulled the trigger at around $100.00. I have a couple of Term-C v1's which I picked up on sale at MOV around a month ago for $34.99 each. ;) Adding the Ithaka parts to one of those would have been around a total of $150.00, plus the cost of the mouthpiece. Better off buying the entire Ithaka IMO. But, I know Stormy will be stocking the Rainbow Ithaka clones soon, and I can't see them going over $90.00. That would be the way to go. :) From what I saw in the pics, the Rainbow clone is just as high quality as the Term-C.

What I really would like to find is the 510 atty / carto adapter that GG made in the Oddy expansion kit. I have a Diver, and it would be uber cool to use one of my Term-C's for the Diver's carto tank... :thumb: Complete with MKB-TS air-control. I looked around, and COV has the damn parts listed, but OOS of course. :glare: I didn't see them anywhere at e-smokeguru.

Oh well, back to choosing a couple of drip tips to use with my Kayfun upgrade kit... I have REALLY high expectations for this kit. A marriage of the Oddy and Kayfun just has to be killer! I was also lucky this evening, and picked-up a brand new Term-C v2 with 2 extra ceramics on the classies for $40.00. :)

In my case with the Ithaka parts I didn't need more than $100 worth as I already have some of the parts.
I'm going to look at what it will take to put the Ithaka repairable part (assembly) into a Term-C that already has a GGTS base. I think that by adding the locking ring from a Tobeco clone with the existing Term ring it will be right for letting the mouthpiece be able to be closed.

The only thing extra needed would be the Ithaka repairable part and the Tobeco ceramic housing ring.
I'll check if this works when I get home from work in the morning.

BUT THEN
I just couldn't wait till I got home.
I was wrong, the only thing need is an Oddy GGTS base and the Ithaka repairable part.

Could some one help me with a o-ring question? I wanted to find a new top mouthpiece oring and found a full oddy kit and wanted to make sure that kit would swap with a v1 term unless someone has a link for a cost effective o-ring for that. The one that came with mine seems hit and miss. It could be user error but at this point I want to try a new and possibly better oring for the mouth piece. Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone.

I've been trying to find answers about this throught this thread, but its freaking huge and i just cant read that many posts. x.x

I got my Term-C a few days ago with an ithaka on the way, and i'm having trouble with my e-juice feeding from the top tank down to the juice control and wick area, so I'm getting huge air bubbles in my clear tank area. Is this normal? Is there a fix for it? It just kind of looks ugly and just seems wrong when the clear tank is half full but the top tank is almost completely full. I'll keep parusing the thread for an answer though :3

Beyond that i am havig some flooding issues as well, though im sure those will go away once i have more experience with the Terminator and i watch a few more videos / read some more threads. I no longer trap the negative wire under the locking ring and that seems to have helped, but i still get some gurgle. Are there any other run of the mill reasons that this might happen?

For those experienced Term users, how open do you usually leave your juice control? About a full turn (maybe a little more with 100% vg juice) is about as much as i can go before i start noticing flooding.

The air bubbles is more or less normal, some people sand down the mouthpiece bases knurling to allow the bubbles to pass.

For the leaking/gurgling... ive never got rid of mine though I wonder if im opening my juice control too far as well... anymore than 1 full turn and I get gurgles and leaks.

When people say they crack theres open 3 turns, I dont know if they just mean three flicks of their thumb/finger, or actually 3 full turns.

Dwcraig is a term vet and will tell you its all in the top o-ring, if you dont have an airtight seal you will have leaks.

Im not questioning him, im sure this is right because the physics and vacuum needed to keep juice from seeping. But ive replaced top oring, lubed all orings with vaseline and tried everything over a weeks time and still have leaks... which brings me back to your other question of if im opening juice control too far and how far is everyone opening theres?

Place duct tape on the end of the mouthpiece and chuck it into an electric drill. use a file, stone. sandpaper, what rver you got that works and take it down to where the pattern is gone.

My channels a enlarged and the wick in them is kind of loose, I can open the mouthpiece all the way without leakage, but all the way is not necessary. I would say I run them about half way open.

There is possibility of air leak at the top of the tank (rare) not the one that seals against the mouthpiece but the next one down. Usually when that one leaks it leaks juice out as well.

I'll continue to point my finger at the o-ring that seals against the mouthpiece simply because it is there every time.

I have three of them and they just don't leak, not even a little once in a while
