Even with Ithaka, I cut 2 strands from the wick when using 3 mm, also I always add a 2nd short section of wick to the main wick across the top under the coil. I do micro coils on everything else that I have but found that my regular builds were working best on this type of atomizer.

It's labled 32 they are around 2.8 ohm. The no res is 30g silver.

Currently have one with a single strand of 32 around 6-8 wraps at 3 ohm

I have the wick trimmed flush with the cup, none in the channels except one single strand in the positive channel... and now after 10 pulls, new silica flavor going away I'm getting flavor coming back.

Definitely can not put 3mm in the channels!

First one I had success with I didn't either, that was it.

But is the resistor wire two pieces twisted together or is it just appear that way?
I went back and re-read your post, I got it now, it's twisted 32 in the picture but not twisted on your current build

I just got one and first build - 3mm silica no wick in channels., no issue what so ever, no gurgling or leaking, once you get it going start opening juice. Shortly after a fill I actually have it open 4-5 turns.. And fully open by the end. Surprisingly I vaped the tank completely dry before I got a hint of dryness.

* has anyone found something to fit over the mouth piece??? It's a tooth breaker with all that wieght. Plus the mod. * ( its an oddity ss)

Don't know about everyone else, but I use XC-116 ceramic wick in mine, with no wick at all in the channels.. ;)

RBA Supplies

I can't quite wrap my head around having no wick in the side channels.

I've only had mine a few days and built it twice, but I'm just the opposite. I was wondering why it does need the wick in the channels. (besides covering the pos wire). I don't have it with me, but with the coil at the bottom, what purpose does the wick in chanels do? With them not there, seems like it would feed right to the wick. might flood.... but not with adjustable.

Anyway, I'm going to try it. Hope this makes sense. Rushing.

Ok, I realize that the answer to my question may be somewhere in this thread but I'm going to ask anyway. I just started using my Terminator that I picked up in the classified and I'm very pleased with it. I haven't had to rebuild it yet, mainly because I'm waiting on some Ekowool to arrive. Going to try it out since I've always used silica on any of my builds.
My question is, which clear tank should I get for mine? I know mine is the large one but I'm not sure if it's version 1 or 2. I'm thinking it's this one: Clear Tank for Terminators.

If that's the right one, can I mount the metal part of the tank on the clear one? Thanks for taking the time to read and reply, Johnny B

I build my Hercules the same way.. :) No flooding, leaking, or dry-hits. The XC-116 is great also. I haven't had to rebuild anything in over 5 weeks. I just dry-burn every 3rd tank or so. The flavor and vapor production is still very good. If the base fills up, I don't know about it.. I only noticed a few drops when I did take one apart. Perhaps the juice is drawn up and vaped. Just pay attention to your wire placement.

I do know it's the only way I'll build these attys given how well it does.. :)

The problem I posted about before in post 3218 is resolved.
Stupid move on my part.. It was the juice I was filling it with.. A new blend that didn't smell like crap but tasted like crap. Wasted all those good coils for nothing.

This is hitting like a beast, I have a 10/11 wrap of twisted 32 micro/ touching coil in there at 3 ohms, 3mm silica cut flush with the ceramic.
Also found a new way to join the nr wires. Much cleaner now. There is a slight delay in heat now with the thicker wire but if cracks and pops nicely with good flavor vapor and heat.

Coils were adjusted after this pic to straighten the coil out.

This coil ohm'd at ~4.6 to start, after dry firing it it dropped to 2.6, after adjusting it settled at 3

OK. Noob dumb question time. (mainly because I don't have NR wire. I have the ready wires, but just thinking ahead)

Say if you had a 2'ish ohm micro type coil and then used double (or triple) twisted 28g for the channels/legs, would this work? Or not low resistence enough for the legs?

EDIT: I'm talking in a term-c

Bare in mind, adding coils in parallel drops resistance! Think more lanes on the freeway. Two 2ohm coils=1ohm (or 1/2) and three 2ohm coils=0.66ohms (or 1/3). The challenge is more toward wire make-up.
