well, I can tell you this.....
if MBV doesn't post test results on the website, and they won't email you test results...........then they probably have diketones, acetoin, etc in them.

MBV has been claiming for ~7 months that they're testing their e-liquids, continually assuring customers that their flavoring supplier claims they're diketone-free.

While I used to think of them as a transparent company, this seems a bit shady. Wouldn't be surprised if some of the flavors in their line contain detectable levels of diketones. It'd result in a lawsuit, considering they've been guaranteeing diacetyl-free juice since their inception.

Some kid posted on FB they absolutely are diketone free etc.
So I wanted to be sure before I replied to him and removed his posts.
I could find zero evidence of anything relating to testing on their site which is what caused me to post and pursue an answer. :)

leaving out the third which is Acetoin (which is known to turn into Diacetyl when heated)

Don't think you can make that statement across the board. See #547 from Kurt here:
Donate to Dr Farsalinos' new study

In addition, safe inhalation numbers for acetoins have not been researched that I know of. I believe even Dr. F. was unsure of exactly how or if acetoins catalyze and under what exact circumstances. As far as I know.

I thought this list would grow and grow over time, but it seems we have hit a bit of a plateau......

hard to believe that so few companies are willing to pay the pittance of testing.
you can test for AP/DA/Acetoin for only $60 (test here Nicotine Testing and Analysis. Terponix - Fast, accurate, and cost effective nicotine analysis for the e-Cigarette industry.)

it's sad so few companies make this list, and even care enough to do testing.
I guess just like big tobacco, they don't give a poop about the customers health or well-being.

***btw goodlife vapor needs to be added to the list.
they do testing, and about 90% of the flavors they have are D/AP free

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
There will be more and more especially over the long run , most vendors imo are going to be extremely slow as they don't want to mess with things that are working for them now and selling well .

Many vapors are not overly concerned with it is another factor , the list will eventually get sizable .

Not sure if some of the Ahlusion fans noticed, but Wlad and co posted something about upcoming testing once they revamp their site. Ahlusion LLC - Upcoming changes for 2016

Yep, just saw this, this morning. WOOT!!! I will be delighted to see them included in the list of approved vendors here, and be able to CONFIRM what I've always known, that these can be safely recommended to others.

Quoting FartOfWar:
Any plans to publish independent lab reports on diketone presence?

Yes, our Elite will include independent lab reports per product. It will take some time to get all selected products into the Elite line. Other than flavor improvements, this is one of the other important reasons for going over to this new line. Also, I apologize for the late response as I did not see anything posted here.

MOV for me...first try, not a POW factor like most juices I'm used to BUT....most juices I was used to had junky chemicals in them so flavor was more in your face, so a bit of an adjustment but now, I'm totally ok with it!

Rangler....I've ordered now three times. Really enjoy it
Blue Ridge...another one I've ordered multiple times
Treble (Amplified line)...love it been through about 90 MLs
Root Beer..totally taste like it. Mind you, not a root beer float, but straight up root beer
Capone- smooth, light nice blueberry and a bit sweet. Not an ADV BUT great to add to others for creaminess like to Blue Ridge (tried a friends Gotti from same line, and I enjoyed it. Again, gonna order it for mixing purposes)
Toasted Almond- meh. Not bad, not great
Full Virginia Flake- lasted me about 4 days-reorder
Chai Tea Latte- really like it bcuz I taste a bit more spice than others but I prefer it more creamy so I mix this with TPR's Creamy Chai Tea
And unlike NY above...I did not care for Heavnly or Legendary. I think I just have issues with chocolate tastes in vape

Just wanted to add another Vendor to the list. Recently I've been searching for a good Cola or Pineapple Upside down cake from a DAP free vendor and while our list has a few, I found I had to branch out. I stumbled over these guys:

Pink Spot Vapors
Best Vape Shop in Las Vegas : Gourmet E Liquid at Pink Spot Vapors

They have a test on each flavor page, they test for Diacetyl and AP at ~1.13 and 1.07ug levels (lower end for some vendors on the list, i've noticed as some go as high as 5-10ug)

Now some of their flavors do have D/AP in them, but all flavors have a test sheet from Enthalpy Analytical, inc.

Isn't acetoin also a diketone that should probably be avoided? As I recall both acetoin and AP were created to be substitutes for diacetyl.

I notice some of these vendors test for D/AP but don't test for acetoin. Others test for acetoin and some of their tests confirm that it is present is some of their offerings.
