I thought that was what NYT was referring to in a report about the danger of e-cigarette as vapors are being poisoned by Nicotine.

Just use different colour bottles when you mix the original 100mg for a good reference, and labeled them clearly. You will enjoy the HS flavours but Danny is experienced. 7% for fruits and I am using 7% for tobacco also.

Thank you sooooo much Danny, that is incredibly helpful!

Jeremy, already ordered the 100mg as that is what everyone was telling me to order :-(. I'll be super careful with it, will mix it down as Danny suggested and store it away safely!

I'm not trying to understate the hazard of improper use of concentrated nicotine but It's nothing more then common sense. If you get it on your skin (Which I have many times) wash it of right away with soap and water and keep it out of reach of pets and small children as you would with any household chemical. There's no need to be scared of it just understand the mix down ratios and use common caution. I started with 100mg and never looked back. There are to many histerics here when all it really takes is common sense and a good knowledge of what your working with.

If you know that the high end safe vaping limit set is 24mg and know that what your using is 100mg then you already know you need to dilute it to 24% or less. There are many on this forum that even vape 36mg which I don't recommend but must admit I have done during my smoking succession.

Danny, should I mix the nic into bases that I will store as bases + nic that only need th flavors added? Is that the suggestion?

Read through your blog, very helpful!

If what your asking is if it's OK to pre-mix your base then the answer is yes but PG flavor is part of the total end result. I generally mix enough base taking into account I will use an average of 10% flavoring in any of my mixes so I add that to my calculation. So if I use anywhere from 5 - 15% flavoring the difference is already considered and the differences in NIC I don't really notice. In other words if I mix the base targeting 18mg then depending on how much flavor I use the swing can be from 16mg to 20mg because of the built in 10% flavoring compensation. I will mix enough to last a month or 2 and freeze the rest of the VG,PG and NIC. It can be frozen in the bottles they came in but glass bottles are better. There's no worry about bottles bursting because PG, VG and NIC don't expand like water does.

Bigflyrodder, another nic base option is what I do. I just buy a 500ml premixed 50/50 at 24mg for $24.99 + $5 S/H from myfreedomsmokes.com. No mixing or hassle and you can customize PG/VG percentage. It's not for everyone but it saves me a hassle and ends up pennies on the mixed bottle tobacco vape juice.

Thanks, I will have to track it down and try it. Who sells the best and freshest HS Essence?

I've done three orders with RTS Vapes and have been pleased. They package in glass, ship quickly, wrap/package pretty well and seem to have fair prices; haven't had any occasion to check customer support. Enjoy!

Good advice, I may go that route to start and put the stuff I already have shipping safely aside until I have some experience. I could but that bottle, mix it with some VG to get it to say a 70/30 at 12 or 18mg and then just worry about flavoring. So many options...

Thanks!

That's a very good idea. I began with mixing with a pre mix base. Next step was to get some 36mg/ml and blend it down to my preferred nic level of 8mg/ml. When I use that up I will be working with 60mg/ml . I'll keep my 100mg/ml for long term storage.
I already had a spill with the 6mg/ml that I started out with, and have changed the way I handle my nic base now. I now mix in a totally uncluttered space with things laid out in the order in which they will be used, and have a catch tray (glass baking dish) in which I work. I figured it was safer to get comfortable with mixing a lower level nic concentrations before moving up to the 100mg/ml stuff.

Yes, if the premix you get is a flavorless nicotine liquid which is how it's normally sold. Otherwise you'd be purchasing a premixed e-liquid juice flavor. I don't know of any other kind other than Inawera nicotine bases that do this. All other stateside vendors are selling DIY flavorless for mixing with essence or concentrates which is what you want if mixing your own.

I think I was not clear. What I was asking is that if I purchase a premixed(premade) e-liquid to find a flavor I like, is it likely that I will be able to replicate that flavor when I DIY.
