We're going to agree to disagree on this one. Plain and simple, clones are theft of Intellectual Property. They are not art. Otto Carter makes art from mods, and I'm surprised those haven't been cloned. To each their own, but if I can't afford the one made by the original manufacturer, I'm not buying it.

What makes an authentic Kayfun 3.1 worth $176.00US? Some of us cannot always afford the real thing. Does that mean I do not deserve to have that particular RBA? I think the prices of some of this stuff is not justified. I'm not arguing with you, I'm just giving another viewpoint.

That's sort of my point with them. I'll pay 200-300 for a good quality regulated mod. I'll use that one mod for years to come; without looking to change up. An RBA that I will want multiple variations of I'll pursue a more realistic option. If the authentics were 65-75 dollars I could justify buying authentic over clone. But when I can buy 3 high quality(ehpro or hcigar) RBAs for the same price I have issues erring on the side of my pocket versus intellectual theft. Give me an option that I can justify and I'll take it.

I see your point buy having bought both and preferring the clone; what does that say,,,

Sounds like a case of "almost pushed the button" syndrome...
If you can adjust your grip, so you more directly press the fire button dead center, you'll prevent this - you're ALMOST pressing the button, and getting into the menu instead of firing, by getting a few clicks instead of one solid press. Maybe.
Worth thinking about...I know occasionally I'll accidentally do the same - but not often.

Hi ,
I was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem. My unit is about 1 month old and every once in while using it i have noticed that I loose the ability to get vapor. Additionally I have noticed the volts reading on the LED screen has appeared when this happened. I also noticed the( -- )that appeared on a different occasion. This doesn't quite often but I find it annoying when things like this happen. That is the reason I purchased the Provari.

I contacted Provape and have been emailing back and forth but it takes hrs for them to respond and they aren't providing many options. They want me to send it back along with my tank and battery. Frankly I am disappointed that they don't a number that you can call and discuss.

I am vaping on a Russian 91% @ 1.8 OHM with the voltage set to 3.5 .

Has anyone experienced this issue? If so what was the fix other than returning the unit to them. Feeling rather annoyed at the moment.

I love those VA Chaplins. I even love the cheapo copy I bought when I couldn't find any in black...
If you like those, you may want to check these, too...I don't think they make em any more so some options aren't there.

Settled for a couple of Vicious Ant Chaplin DT's from JVapes. Love VA products, and these tips specifically! They work great on cyclone drippers.

Anyone care to enlighten me as to why there is so much ProVari bashing? One example is price. So many times I've read the ProVari is very expensive blah blah blah, while in the next thread I'm reading about another mod selling for significantly more without any mention of price. I don't get it. I feel one should purchase within a personal comfort zone and not a penny more. Why bash a mod because you can't afford it or don't feel comfortable spending it's asking price? It's a mystery to me.

I spent $1800 in my first three months before buying a provari. Plus i was still smoking.
After wasting $1800 all of a sudden $200 doesnt seem so bad.

I wish i had bought a provari sooner. But i was afraid to spend the money.
For some people giving up smoking is easier than others. Some did it with cigalikes, some with egos. Some do it cold turkey

For me, it took provari and quality ejuice, with cartotanks.

I smoked for 24 years. Now i smoke one pack every three weeks, thats the closest ive come to being smoke free since before i was legal.
Im excited, i want to scream it from mountaintops, look at me, look at my provari and cartotank. Taste my juice yall.

In my real life, people are excited for me, they even try a few vapes.
Out in General population on ecf i am called a troll.

I dont fit in on ecf if i mention my provari so i am here less and less.
I think people see my provarinati banner and immediately pass judgement.

I think some of those people are from other forums and like to cause drama and such.
That is why there will be guests, another forum member will say something rude, link the discussion to another forum and they have threads making fun of the people responding.

That's your prerogative and it's your right to express it BUT there are us folks who cannot afford the conspicuous consumption of original toppers. Social Security doesn't go very far after the bills are paid. I sold my riding lawnmower since I'm unable to use it anymore so I had a small windfall with which I was able to snag 3 ProVarii from the classifieds. I don't think an "original" topper is necessary. I already have two KF clones and they serve their purpose very well. :2c:

Listen, as a wise member stated earlier, everyone has an opinion, and most of them stink. However you guys justify sleeping at night is up to you. I've read a lot of those posts here for a while now and remained silent. That stops now.

Being a "victim" of intellectual property theft myself I'm very passionate about this. To put as much time and effort into a products development in order to make it and sell it for a profit, then to have your hard work stolen and made for pennies off your effort is simply wrong. It's no different than busting into a place and stealing what you want.

Perceived value means nothing. If something costs more than you think it's worth, don't buy it. To buy an unauthorized copy is theft.

Not being able to afford the original does not justify theft.

Enjoying a copy more than the original means it's either all in your head or the copy has been improved. This is a gray area, especially when there's a lack of patent protection. The copy would have to be significantly different from the original for me to even consider it. I did buy an R91 because it's not only different enough from a Kayfun, the original designer authorized it's manufacture.

There's my $0.02

It's great that you have found something that works for you. Getting away from analogs is usually our first goal and it sounds like the p-thingy is what does it. You should be pleased with your progress.
There are always people who know how you should live your life and are loud and obnoxious about it. These folks cannot be argued with because they have THE ANSWER for everyone. There are also the people who feel better because they have the best whatever and they want you to validate them by converting you to their whatever brand. I can only feel sorry for these people because they will never truly be happy.
In my opinion the negativity reflects on them not anyone else.
So don't hide, we would miss you.
