I can relate Andria, I just got my Kayful light V2 plus clone last Wednesday from fastech, after a 6 week wait while my order did a loop at their mail processor, and made my first build today. ~ 1.7 ohms using 6 wraps of 30 AWG Kanthal A1, wrapped around a 6-32 machine screw to build a spaced coil, wicked with KGD cotton. Filled it with Vape Wild Stawberry Cheesecake 65pg/35vg, and I will say this is the most awesome tank I have ever vaped on! I've vaped on a Russian 91 and a kayfun before, but this one was best because its mine, and I built the coil :D I used this calculator to determine the number of wraps for a spaced coil:
http://coiltoy.ermeso.com/

Now of course time will tell of the issues, I am sure I will have to deal with some - I already did an accidental drop test of the KF Lite V2 on my garage concrete floor, fortunately I was using the shorter section of it with the poly clear tube - it didn't break or even scratch. What I want to avoid is any leaks out the airhole like I have with my Kanger Subtank Mini (both on stock coils and the RBA deck). I pulled the cotton through the can and cut it about 1/8 inch above the top, then worked it back down on the deck gently. I think I could have used a little more cotton to fill the base more, but so far its working great, started at 8W, and down to 6W, and giving me better vapor and clouds than my Nautilus Mini with 1.2 ohm vertical cotton coils at 8 W. Extreme tootle puffing at its best!

This has been a great vape day for me, I received in the mail this morning the free sample ($2 shipping) of 70 pg/30 vg 24 mg nicotine base from Nude Nicotine, and this just has to be the smoothest, best unflavored liquid I have ever vaped. I am starting to vape unflavored and lightly flavored juice now, with another tank with my beloved NET. The NN is far better than Ecigexpress Nic Base, not as peppery, and though some might like Ecig Express for the throat hit (I ordered 18 mg Nic base from Excigexpress, and it hits harder than my NN 24 mg nic). I prefer the smoother NN myself, and vaping it on a Nautilus mini with 1.2 ohm VOCC. Superb :)

Here's some pics of my new KF Lite V2 clone, short version with the clear poly window, on my istick 40W, along with my Nautius Mini with NN unflavored on my istick 30W (with and without the black silicone sleeve which I love for the grip, I need to find one for my 40W). :

David, I'm glad to hear that you like that Kayfun after the long wait. I bookmarked it in case I decide to get a KFL+. I was also surprised at the amount of vapor I get from my Kayfun at just 8 watts. And very nice flavor.

Regarding Nude Nicotine - I think they have some of the cleanest nic you can order. I like it so much that I ordered a liter and stuck it in my freezer for long term storage a couple of months ago.

As long as it's wicking right, you're fine :)

My first build with 30 AWG kanthal, it sure is springy haha.

Did you anneal it first? Takes most of that out, winds better. Even a butane lighter does a fine job.

I like the KFL+ a lot so far, I can make it into the short tank like i did in my pic, or the all SS taller tank to hold more liquid. I will configure it that way in a week to see if the taller chimney makes much difference.
Oh yes, Nude Nicotine so impressed me, the free sample only paid the $2 shipping, and they sent paperwork with it showing analysis. Clean taste is a perfect description. I am going to order probably 250 ml of it, maybe two of them, 18 and 24 mg nic. I might pick up a flavor or two as well. :)

I find you can sub ohm in the tootle thread if you have the charm to smooth it over ;)
But you must also bring your own fan to clear the clouds.

No clouds in the TP thread! SOMEBODY of us have sensitivities to various elements of vapor.

Howdy TP'ers. Was driving past and thought I'd pop in, just to make sure everyone was still behaving themselves.

[emoji16]

I hope everyone's well, and congratulations, Andria, on your four-five-oh. Marvelous accomplishment and you should be proud of yourself.

Now, about those sin taxes you've been dodging... [emoji6]

We have a lot of folks that are the same. TP'ers are inclusive and we talk to everyone. If you see our eyes glaze over then you will know that you whomping over our heads [emoji14]ervy:
Except for me. I refuse to speak with anyone who doesn't like or use the exact setup that I do.

Hmm, airhole leaks... my experience with those is that *usually*, if/when they happen, it's a VERY TINY amount, which I think is just the result of built-up condensate inside the airflow system, but they don't always happen.

One other common cause is if you get carried away priming the wick, and there's just too much liquid in the chamber; since I'd far rather deal with too much than too little, I just go ahead and use what seems a plentiful amount of juice when priming a new wick, but after I get it all put together and filled, I turn it upside down, and *blow out* thru the driptip, while holding a paper towel under the airhole -- that will blow out any excess (the paper towel is so it doesn't blow out into your eyes, which BURNS!!!), so you don't get the gurgle or juice in the mouth or airhole leaks.

Other than that, the only thing that can cause airhole leaks is rapid change in temp/air pressure/altitude -- in the summer, if I come in the house (air conditioned to a pleasant 75 degrees and very little humidity) after being out in 95 degrees, 90 percent humidity, there may be a trace of airhole-leakage. If you're driving thru mountains/canyons, it might be an issue.

If you see leaking and none of those applies, then it's more than likely an o-ring starting to shred, and I've learned that it's silly to play o-ring roulette -- go on and replace all of them at the same time, unless it's that pesky little one on the fill screw -- I ordered a supply of those, I go thru them so fast. :D McMaster-Carr - fillscrew o-rings, 1mm Wide, 2mm ID

That's all I've ever used! I figured out that it's handy to keep lighters around even if there are no smokers around, for candles, etc, so I just keep a Bic at my vape-counter.

I sure don't go thru them as fast as I used to. :D

This may sound crazy, but I found that when I replaced the little "clear" tanks with the full sized "M tanks" on my Kayfuns (clones) most, if not all of my leaking through the air hole issues went away.
Fewer orings = Fewer issues (problems)

I like the full size M tanks, they look great and are very reasonable from Fasttech.
