Hey, I forgot to tell y'all...

Last night my wife and I went to dinner with a couple that we hadn't seen in a year or so. She smokes, but he took up vaping a few months back. We all went outside to have a vape/smoke. He pulled out a Coolfire IV with a Harley Davidson wrap on it, sporting the almost obligatory black Kanger STM.

I pulled out my Provari/Cerotank combo and he looked at me and said "Tootle puffer?"

I kid you not.
And you heard it first her folks!

When I was out having a vape when visiting a friend, there was a barely opened pack of rolling tobacco laying on the table (earlier today). Tiedemands rød (red), my favourite tobacco when I was smoking. I took the pack in my hand, looked at it, opened it and smelled the incredible good smell of tobacco. Took another look, and another smell. Then put it down again, took my poorly functional evod device and vaped. I didn't roll one. I was actually thinking about rolling one to see if I was over the addiction for tobacco, but I let it be instead.

I'm over it!

Although I could easily buy one just to smell at it :p I love the smell of tobacco, both burning and not. But of course I won't ! :)

Man, I love the smell of tobacco. We sometimes DIY my wife's cigarettes and the OHM is delightful!

KATching up.

I might try give her a higher VG juice. Currently she's using dual coil 1.8/1.5 I think. Although the dual coil isn't doing a lot on those batteries. I could hardly tell the difference. There's absolutely different vaping than smoking yes :)

Live-in girlfriend? So complicated. Here in Norway we just say "sambo/samboer"

I say..... Samba, baby.

@Katdarling
And the myriad of directions this little thread goes.......

Love it.

It truly is a tangled web we weave!![/QUOTE]

Thanks, I'll take it with him ;)

As for SO, I know that has been used, but what I miss in english is short, single word on "live-in girlfriend/boyfriend" Live-in girlfriend sounds more like an alive girlfriend as someone stated above :p

Sometimes, they actually ARE alive. ;)

Hey Vapez, super huge mega big congrats on making your vape decisions. I know we'll all be excited to follow your progress!

If I could "like" this a dozen times I would!!!!!! I want SIMPLE! I have enough troubles and cares in my life. I don't want vaping to be a "hobby". It's to give me comfort and ease my nerves. I had to learn to DIY to save money. That worked out, but now I have to learn to re-wick and re-build coils, too? Why can't it be easy...like cigarettes?

I think, in some ways it can be. I think we have to think RETROVATION rather than innovation. Sometimes. ;)

Unlike others, I've never had a big problem with bad cartridges. I could count the bad coil heads I've received on one hand.

Then we are a klub of three, TGD. @DPLongo22 and I have had FEW bad coils over the years. In fact, it's always a surprise to read of people having so many issues with them. They work, and they work well for the most part.

I had few bad kartos, too. Lucky? :)

The cheapest I can find in Norway for aerotank mega and 2 coils is $35USD.

I know you're set now, but I'll just toss this into the mix (for next time). The Cerotank was nearly unavailable here, in the US. But in Europe? It was allllllllllllll over the place. I don't have linkies anymore, and I'm not even sure if this is current info..... but it was.

I have a feeling that a lot of the "clones" we see are actually coming out of the same factories as the authentics.

Oh puleeze. I still insist there is only one HUGE factory, separated by room dividers. ;)

Edit: This really feels like what it's supposed to. Feels like this is what was chosen for my by the universe. Destiny brought me here. This is huge! I feel like I'm finally becoming who I am supposed to be!

Not really, just listening to dramatic instrumental music.. But I do feel good about this :)

And please tell if you find any polite sites for the Cool Fire IV.

Vapez. Destiny's child. ;)

Quite a few pages back I reviewed the smoktech revive cartos. Hubby has decided they are the one. :p So I have been looking around for a reasonable supply. I think they are a bit expensive but I found them for 1/2 price at VapingMall. They don't ship to Australia so I have been meaning to test run a new service from Australia post that collects packages at a U.S. Address for Australians and then forwards them to us. It's not cheap but it's on par with some of the USPS charges that we have to pay. Being my first test of the system I was a bit anxious but they are on the way Yeh.

It doesn't help with vendors that match credit card addresses with the delivery address but it does mean I can now shop at soooooo many more places :pervy::thumbs:

I used to spend 5-10 minutes before lighting each cigarette, running it under my nose, inhaling that scent... never could quite decide how to categorize it... sorta sweet, sorta bitter... just unique. After I was frustrated enough by my inability to describe it, I'd just light it and then of course it smelled completely different. :D

My husband thought it was pretty weird. :D

Preachin' to the choir, my friend! I don't want to go back to cigarettes. I want something simple. Things that actually work. Quality control. I don't see why people "have" to learn to re-build coils. I'm not really that hooked on nicotine, since I'm a Tootle Puffer using mostly 6 to 7 watts and 1.5 to 2.1 ohm, and my DIY juice is only about 2.5mg. Almost not there. My deal is the hand to mouth habit. That is what my Achilles Heel has been all my life. When I was a baby/toddler I sucked my fingers. When I was a kid I was always wanting snacks...I'd get a bag of M&Ms and eat them slowly, one by one, chipping the shell off first with my teeth before eating the chocolate to make them last as long as possible. I also ate a lot of popcorn...one kernel (biting off pieces, believe it or not) at a time to make it last. It's the hand to mouth thing for me. In a way, starting smoking in college was a "godsend" for someone like me trying to keep my slim figure. Though I hate having to say that. Cigarettes kept me from snacking. After 43 years of that bad habit I quit and went with vaping...and it works! I stepped down off the nicotine over about a year until I am where I am now and have been for a few years. I feel I could give up the nicotine. That would be painless. But I enjoy the flavor of my menthol juice, and vaping satisfies my urge for the hand to mouth thing. I simply resent having it be such a production . I just want things to work. If I buy a pack of coils..they ought to work. If one is bad, I'll let that slide. But NOT a whole box! Or 3 or 4 out of 5! I spent hours/days/weeks perfecting my DIY juice a few years ago. That was trial enough, but it saves me money and I far prefer my juice to any commercial menthol I've tried since. Now I have go through the whole thing again learning to rebuild coils because of lousy quality control over overpriced things I've paid for. I'm in poor health, and on a limited fixed income. My husband is gravely ill. I don't need this aggravation!

Okay. Sorry. Getting off my soapbox now. But it feels good to get it off my chest anyway! :grr: :(
You have to take up mate drinking. It's a tea (not exactly but!) in an inverse brew (the water into the tea) and it's just as habit forming as tea.

I do the same since we have the same problem. But what about Heaven Gifts or Healthcabin? Have you checked? China should be dirt cheap and around the corner for you.

They don't stock in fact HC are out of the carto/tank business. They were my goto for carto bulk buys in their annual sales.
China mail is cheap but really low priority in our local system so it takes forever 4-6 weeks and if I go EMS or DHL the flat rate minimum is just as much as ups.

Did I mention I hate shipping. :p I know all the ways of doing it smart it's just these were for hubby so I couldn't make him wait.

I see that the aerotank mega comes in glass and a fully covered tank beside. With no windows. How are one supposed to see how much is left with that spare tank?
Intuition? :D Foreboding? :p

Some say you "feel" when liquid gets low. Me, I don't feel anything until the wick burns. So I never bought anything without a full transparent tank - since (and because of) my first Evods, that is. They had these small windows but I never managed to see the rest and simply hated it.

I often get a slight not unpleasant taste change just before it really burns.

On my current evod's I feel when they're running low (even above the silicone cap), seems like it performs not as good as when having a fuller tank.

But I don't think I'm gonna use the "no window"-tank, because as as @nebulis said, it gets pretty annoying just with the evod tanks, which got two small windows.

How much can the glass take? Does it take a lot of damage before it cracks, or should I take the other part with me when I'm outside?

Edit: I saw that trick to fill it the whole way up. Yes' it is annoying that when you fill it to the top, only half of it is filled, but I don't think I'm going to do that :p

Funnily enough, with the eGo ONE CLR coils you do know when the tank is empty ... the vape tends to dry out and you start to get a cotton taste. I have vaped one dry without getting a dry hit. But ... they are not the most flavourful tank, but as I'm almost flavourless, who cares?

You can return to the Aerotank discussion now ;)

Happy Halloween! I hope even adult Tootle Puffers go trick or treating! This is one of my pumpkin designs. I did everything but grow the gourd. Linus: "Praise be to the Great Pumpkin!"
