This may be a stupid question - but can they be used with the evic vtc mini on temperature mode? I guess I'm still confused about the nickel/titanium/ss coil thing when it comes to kartos.

Shameless, there are none (stupid questions), and it's great that you're diving in and asking!

As far as I know, most cartos (other than the exclusive ones from Protovapor that Kim B. mentioned) are kanthal coils and aren't used with TC. However, I don't use TC, so I'm a true non-expert on the subject.

Are you looking to use it because you think it will give you a warmer vape?

Ok I think I have a plan!!

I want the Evic VTC mini - $56.95
Joye eVic-VTC Mini 60W - Starter Kit 18650 Mod

I think trying the NICKEL cartomizers is a good idea - $9.99
Protovapor Ni200 Nickel 510 Cartomizers — EXCLUSIVE! | Protovapor.com
What size should I get .27ohm or .38
What feed should I get:
  • Normal carto/no feed. Also for self-punching. 5 pcs/pack
  • 2x 1mm feed holes. 5 pcs/pack
  • 1x 2.3mm feed hole. 5 pcs/pack
  • 2x 2.5mm feed holes. 5 pcs/pack
  • Variety pack, 1 of each feed. 4pcs/set
The feed options are in general order of feed volume, intended to work with thinner or thicker juices.
I generally prefer 50/50 Vg/PG juices, 18mg, usually fruits or custards

And since the evic VTC mini comes with the eGo One Mega tank - I want to try the CLR heads as well - $13.95
Joye eGo ONE CLR Atomizer Head (Rebuildable)

the 1.0Ω CLR coil is a small center hole, Joye eGo ONE CLR Atomizer Head (Rebuildable)
:)

But I have one more question about those - I dont see what type of wire is used (ni, ti, ss) -
  • Are they usable in TC mode, without rebuilding them myself?
  • I mean if I buy these exact heads - do they have the coil wire I need?
  • Can I pop them into the tank and immediately use TC mode without doing anything with the pins or rebuilding anything?
Then get 3 of these batteries - SONY US18650VTC5 2600MAH - $29.28
Sony US18650VTC5 2600mAh

This charger - XTAR VP4 - $39.89
Xtar VP4

This carrying case for the batteries - Xtar Battery Case - $1.25
Xtar Battery Case

This pretty, small bore drip tip #4 - $35.00 (shipping is $12)
Drip tips, bespoke drip tips, hand made drip tips,uk,drip tips,510 drip tips

For a total of $184.31 for the Evic VTC mini kit (including the eGo one Mega atomizer), the nickel cartomizers, the CLR heads, 3 batteries, 1 battery charger, 1 plastic battery holder, and 1 pretty drip tip with a narrow bore

Then use ECF Coupon 5ECF to get 5% off at myvaporstore
and ECF5 to get 5% off at RTDVapor

And maybe Get the eGo One VT for a backup cylinder shape mod in a couple weeks after the sticker shock wears off - $43.95
Joye eGo ONE VT Variable Temperature Starter Kit

Ok with those plans - does anyone see why that wouldn't be the way to go????

I love that "I'm a true non-expert on the subject." Me too!!

Yea I think the TC is the way for me to go to get a warm vape. I am using the nautilus mini right now on a phantom x 1600 (kanger) Phantom Battery | Vapor Phantom X 1600 | Mig Cigs - right now - and no matter the watts I set it at - its still a cool vapor - and I just dont like that.

I have a VTC mini, good little mod. It's a little heavy compared to what you have now but then again almost everything will be, not bad though.

I would use illumn supply for batteries. This one for that setup: 18650 LG 18650HG2 3000mAh High Discharge Flat Top

Those come with a free battery case.

The clr heads sound good.

I would wait on the cartomizers.

That's a great charger.

Edit: You don't need TC to get a warm vape. TC doesn't really do much that you can't do with a regular setup except wick protection. Which is a nonissue in my opinion unless you are a high wattage vaper (above 20W).

I fully agree and I have an issue with someone new to vaping all hung up on TC.

The Ni200 (Nickel) coils could be really nasty health wise if the mod you are using drops out of TC and switches back to VV/VW mode. The eVic VTC mini is know to have issues with TC not working properly, luckily its a weak vape as opposed to a going back to Power mode. Not all of them have a problem but a lot do and it is a dice roll if you get a working one, there is a thread here about the VTC mini issues.

It is a really big experience jump coming from a Nautilus mini on an iPOW 2 (Phantom X) and going straight into TC as the primary device. Using the eVic VTC mini in Power mode with different type of atty, like a Subtank Mini (bad example but I refuse to use coil head devices) or any other tank than can be turned down regarding airflow and uses a decent Kanthal coil would be a much, much better choice IMHO.

The only truly warm vape the I have experienced have come from my RDA's with a decent amount of power behind them.

Just my :2c:

The warmest vape I have is from my Kraken with a single 1ohm SS430 coil.

None of my coil head tanks come close.

I'm thinking of cutting down on my Nic, at 24mg atm.

I need to put in an order soon for my next 6 month supply.

500ml of 100% VG 24mg Nic and 500ml of 100% VG no nic.

Mix both together and end up with 1 liter of 12mg nic.

That actually would last me over 6 months........

Molinberry flavorings are almost unknown in the USA. All reports I have heard about them is VERY good though.
