Thank you @Uncle .... wonderful to see you back in here, honey!!

Hmmm..... what a good idea!

I know it's waaaaay too old skool for most of us, but the vape from a karto is definitely warmer than any of the newer stuff I have tried (but I don't sub it, and I don't build it, so my experiences are vastly fewer than many here).

@Shameless - my offer still stands if you'd like to try them out.

Your (former) Karto Kween ;)

(who still indulges in them every now and then)

I still keep some handy, for my cartotanks, and I even have most of 2 bricks of plain XL cartos. Theyre sort of my "if all else fails..." stash. :D They're also good if I just want to try some different flavor real quick. I like being self-sufficient and building my own coils, and I do prefer that vape, but cartos *just work.*

I been following your quest for a warmer vape and you have come to the right place for advice. Many many very helpful people here. I myself dont think TC will help you. TC limits your temp, not allows for a warmer vape. Now part of the problem lies in the fact your a new vaperor so suggesting a tank that can provide you with a warmer vape is limited because i doubt if your up to being able to build coils yet. As many have correctly said the heat of a vape is dependent on coil size and power applied to it along with airflow. I have a Uwell Crown that i vape at 90 watts and let a friend hit it the other day and it was way too hot of a vape for her. Yet with you being a new vaperor I would never ever suggest a tank like the crown.
There is one thing you can try. If there is a vape shop close to you that builds coils for its customers I would suggest getting a Kayfun V4 for $10 off of Ebay and taking it to the vape shop and have them put in a 28 ga kanthal coil at round .8 ohms and give that a try. Its a tighter air draw than a lot of tanks and vapes well at 10 watts which it sounds like your present mod can handle. With a coil build like that it will be warmer than what you vaping now. I normally vape Kanger subtank mini's with coils I build at around .5-.7 ohms at 25 watts and get a decent warm vape but your present mod wont do that high of wattage. They have prebuilt coils of .5 ohms that vape very well at 20 watts and if I remember right it was a warmish vape.
I just dont feel TC is going to give you what your looking for but there is options out there for you without spending hundred to get the vape your looking for.

I'm not sure about doing the vape store rebuild thing - I dont want to be dependant on someone elses time table with something that I NEED to quit smoking (but maybe later when I am more comfortable and have other options in case they are slow)

I took what everyone said to heart. And I've been pming with a couple people.

I think I am going to try a few different tanks first before I go an buy a mod.

I just read the last 6, or so, pages and I am glad that Shamless is moving away from cigs. Just a

I remember a request about a bridgeless atomizer. At the bottom of the tube is a metal coil. Drip 3-5 drops of juice and vape. I used one, I still have some, for taste testing early on, but it is best to taste test with what you normally use. Anyway, put the drops in, put a drip tip on and vape, then rinse and repeat. Here is a pic with the bridgeless metal coil in the bottom....

Most of my vaping is mod womping which is higher wattage flavor chasing that dont mind large clouds but not in it for the clouds. I know all the different terms can be a bit much for a new vaperor. :) I did a lot of tootle puffing so I know your not going to get that much heat from the smaller gear, or at least in my experience I didnt. I have never tried the Eleaf GS air but have heard a lot of good about it.

I'm actually pretty okay with my stock of mods for the moment. 2 iStick20s, 2iStick30s, 2iStick40s, 2 MVP20s, and 5 iTaste VV V3s for "out and about" and at bedtime. I've got the Joye Evic VTC mini 60 in one of my wishlists. Doesn't stop me from prowling the vape sites and looking, though! You know. "Just in case"...!!

Shamey, so did you order your TC60W Kit then ?
No, not yet (I did order batteries lol)

I am going to try the tanks. Find something I like, THEN get a new mod

I am either going to get the
Istick tc 40w mini
istick tc 60w mini
evic vtc 60w mini
evic vt mini

But everyone is saying that a tank change might help me get a warm vapor - so I want to try a few new tanks first - then if it does - TC isn't important to me anymore and I can look around

I do like that the evic vtc 60w mini has the ability to get upgrades (they have had a few so far) and the melo 2 tank that comes with it is supposed to have a very tight draw (people are complaining which means tootlepuffers should like it lol)

But first I want to see if a tank change will eliminate the need for all that TC stuff and nickel coils etc (but the evics latest upgrade did allow for SS coils using tc which helped to eliminate my fears about vaping nickel)

Now that I am here...

For finding good juices...only you can find them. There are juices that get the greatest following that I think...aren't worth it. I made a spreadsheet that I listed the juice particulars, my rating and notes. It has helped me keep track of what I have tried. One thing I do is I use the same steeping routine no matter what. Juices need time to...finalize. Much like wine. I buy for use a month later. Just something to help your finding and vaping better.

Happy vaping!

I love that idea - I am keeping a spreadsheet to - but it is mostly of dislikes - dont suppose you would share yours - it would be nice to see how someone else keeps track

I think Shamey should at least get a 50watt capable VW unit and at least a .5 ohm tank for a nice warm vape.

I went from ego-c then to EVOD now to Coolfire 4 and kanger subtank nano vaping .5ohm at 30 watts.

Only a week later after my CF4 purchase and already 30 watts sometimes is not enough to curb the tobacco craving and now I just today went up to 33.5 and 35 watts and that has saved me from lighting up tonight. I can see a pattern here... Basically no doubt in a month or two I'll be buying a higher wattage PV and going lower ohmage....

If I had have bought a PV capable of higher wattage I'd have saved money as the CF4 as much as I love it, tops out at 40 watts... It seems one adapts to vapor real quickly. I know some get by on just an ego battery and evods for years or forever and good for them I say... Me I need that thick, warm flavorful hit, it's not even the nicotine, it's the feeling...

Having one of these devices is as good as direct dripping but you can carry it around and no have to keep dripping juice on it.

They do tear through juice fast though, but damn that hot thick vapor, it feels good...

Actually should @Shameless ever decide to build her own, A genesis style tank can put out a very warm vape at fairly low wattage.

Really great MTL tanks.

And pretty easy to build. As long as you are not afraid of experimenting.

Genny purists insist on mesh but I think whatever works, Cotton, Rayon, Ceramic whatever....It's all good!

I can get my Kraken set to a airflow from super tight to fairly loose.

Just have fun, what I did was just vape on coilheads daily while playing around with the Kraken.

Something to do when watching TV in the evenings.......

One thing you need to be careful of that all of us vaporers suffer from to some extent is shinyitis. In the little over a year that I been vaping I probably spent $4K easily on vaping yet on the bright side I was smoking two cartons a week at $50 a carton which works out to $5200 a year so I actually saved over $1K since I quit smoking and have a ton of vaping gear and juices now :D.
This second year of vaping will be a lot cheaper for me for I doubt if I spent $300 on vaping since my July, 1 year smoke free vaporversery. :p
