Great! Get used to that. Make sure that whenever you sit it upright that you screw down the lock-ring. In the meantime, in preparation for use of the kick, did you get any $1.08 Round Super Strong Rare-Earth Neodymium NIB Magnets (10-Pack) 10-pack - 5mm*1.5mm / perfect for use on batteries at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping Fat Daddy also has them, if you don't want to wait on a FT order.

No I didn't. What are those used for? If I need them, I'll add them to my next fast tech order.

You will probably need them to make fine tunings to your tube and battery lengths, especially with a kick. You put them on the positive end of the battery.

I'll get some then. I haven't even tried the kicks yet, just thought I'd get used to a mech first, then worry about learning to use them. They actually look pretty straight forward. I'm kinda liking how small a mech is in 18650 mode. My SVD 2.0 is almost twice as long. :D Thanks for all your help. It's much appreciated!

Thanks for sharing this. Anything else that would come in handy.

When it could probably be summarized: "Bugs are bad. They like to hide. Kill them all." ;)

Andria
A bit more to it than that. Namely how you kill them. Burning a house down kills all the bugs that do not flee... But probably not the best way to go aboutit.

My New Yorkers worked without a hitch, Robert. I just stuck an 18650 in, put on an atty, and I was vaping. No hassles or adjustments necessary.

Hope the wife unit is doing much better!

Well I just had an embarrassing/unpleasant thing just happen... My juice just showed up, it comes in a 15ml plastic bottle, that I always transfer into a Needle Point bottle.. Well I was transferring it into my needle bottle and the cap on the original bottle decided to come off and shoot e-liquid straight into my face, up my nose, in my mouth, and some splashes around me... :-x:facepalm:

Had to rinse off my needle bottle, put the silicone tip over the needle to hopefully no water got in lol

I hit the vape mail jackpot today - 4 packages. I got 5 mechs, some kicks and batteries, and a Magma for juice sampling. The only thing I seem to be having problems with is the Nemesis. Can't seem to get it to fire.

I got a ton of mail today but only one vape mail package. The missus comes in this afternoon carrying all these packages asking me just what the hell I ordered this time, a ton of lead or a bunch of bullets? Well yes dear I said, I ordered 30 pounds of lead for making bullets. :D
After she brought in the second armful of packages I seen I got my order from bullcity.
So now I have everything on hand to make more E-juice, black powder and bullets

I bought a cheap mech from Fasttech. It still leaves me asking the question--why?

At 4 volts or so freshly charged, it's a little hotter than I usually set my regs at. Doesn't seem to take too long for the voltage to drop below 3.5V, at which point it's fairly useless. I also don't get as much battery life as with my Provaris, which keep the voltage the same until the battery is even lower than 3.5V.

So, unless you're going to stack batteries for some serious cloud blowing, what the heck is the point?

What Ω are you running? I use 1.5, give or take. Lasts me quite a while. However, you can always use a kick-- that is what it is for.

Look at it this way:

I have a 26650 Chi You mech that uses 3500mah MNKE cells.

With a 1.2ohm single coil on a Perseus Genny I can vape all day.

There is really nothing to break.

It does the same thing, every time and will keep on doing so for years.

I have 2 cells for it and expect at least a year out of those.

It's a very well made clone and cost 15 bucks.

What's not to like?

(It also looks great)

Eric

FDA proofing. Electronics will eventually fail. Mechs have none. I have 3 in storage, but other than function checks when new haven't used them.

That's exactly my reason for getting some mechs. Years down the road, the electronics in all my regulated mods may have died and there won't be any parts to replace them. A bunch of mechs can keep you going.
