That's odd, maybe just the diff betweem clones... i first tried a kayfun o-ring, but it was too fat, I couldn't get the AFC ring over it, so I tried a clear silicone o-ring that came with *something*, a bit thinner than the black kayfun rings, and that fits, I can get the AFC ring over it, but it's TIGHT, I have a hard time moving the AFC ring at all, so I can unscrew the top cap and the AFC stays exactly where I've set it.

To block the other deck airhole, I figured I'd go ahead and insert a 12ga needle into it, but instead of cutting it cleanly with a dremel's cutting wheel, maybe cutting it off with something that would crimp it closed, some kind of wire cutter or something. That might not make it an airtight seal, but close it off enough that the draw isn't quite so airy. With the 12ga needle in the hole on both sides, it should eliminate the leakage from that source, and the o-ring under the AFC ring is so tight that I think it works pretty well as a leak guard.

haha yes a kayfun o-ring is what I used too. It is not at all tight. :(
The needle should work well but it may be to hard to crimp without annealing it.
Good luck, hope you get it.

I am kind pist at Paradigm, the Magma was a great first design, fix the problems in V2 ya goofs.

Ah, is yours an authentic paradigm? That may be the diff then; mine's a Tobeco clone -- a very good atty, but yeah the leak problem is a total pain. I hope they do make a v2, with a raised edge around the airholes on the deck. A way to close off one of the deck holes for single coil use would be great too; the AFC ring doesn't close off the air tightly enough.

No mine is an Infinity clone, "they" say it is a very good clone. :D

So.. just a "standard deviation" between clones. Heck, I've got two Achilles both made by Yeahsmo, and in one, I took the whistle-screw out, and in the other I leave it in.. so there's a lot of deviation even with clones made by the SAME maker!

did you read my post to you about dry burn
I missed it! I went back and saw it now (I blame it on tapatalk for not noting me!).

I dryburned my other coils all the time before, back in my evod period. But I don't do it with my aerotank coils. I've read that the coils are not "compatible" with dryburning. Or something like that. Also, they're made in another way, making it more difficult anyhow. But if it is doable with those, I'll do it. It's the authentic VOCC from kangertech.

I ended up putting the coil which belongs to the aerotank back in again..

nope !

V OCC means COTTON, you can't dry-burn them
you would have to twist the cotton OUT / dry burn / then replace cotton

I know I can't dry burn them. But I could take the cotton out and do it then?

Vapez

Yes. I've done that with the OCCs - haven't tried with the VOCCs - not sure how to repack the cotton o_O

I would think that with the VOCC you would have to take out the coil to repack it with cotton again

Yeah, I've not torn apart a VOCC. Not sure I'm going to. And, I'm probably thinking about the Subtank coils, not the PT2-like coils.... I've seen a new one, but I have so many of the regular ones that I rebuild, it's not worth an investment...

{I'll go sit in my corner now..... :) }

You do that until you find a solution! :p :)
