Hello?

Can I ask a (silly) question? What's a tootle puffer? (No giggling please :))

Whatever it is I'm hoping to pull up a chair here. Sounds like fun!

Cheers

Sit in that comfy chair as long as you like, juskiddin. And welcome!

Make sure you read the rules :p

So far the only one I have found is we have to talk tootle puffing vaping every so often.

Don't forget the Wednesday rule. Andria has offered up her services to remind us when it's HUMP day.

Hello Tootle Puffers,

Y'all seem like a warm and friendly crew.

I only started vaping about 2 months ago and gave up the cigs after 1 week. I've been slightly overwhelmed by the learning curve but I'm catching on (slowly). Finding ECF has been a Godsend - so many helpful folks willing and able to steer us newbies in the right direction.

I'm very happy to have found the Tootle Puffers forum and look forward to dropping in often. I'm retired and live in Western Canada. And no, that's not me in my profile pic :)

Cheers!

I can only imagine how overwhelming it must be. If I started vaping now......... omg, and smh........ I would not know where to begin. You're in the right place here on ECF tho. There are a ton of peeps who will gladly direct you.

Glad you joined us, Mr. Ms. Canada.

Welcome to Specsavers | Specsavers a number of countries, just not USA
... and there was I thinking they were only in the UK ! I'm actually going over to the UK next month specifically for my looooooong overdue eye test at Specsavers :D (it's too long-winded, complicated and expensive to have eyes tested in France)

Our eye tests are free but glasses cost a fortune.

You're not wrong there  My wife just had her glasses replaced (OPSM) ... $1240 for 2 pairs ... I almost had a heart attack

There's an American web site where you can get glasses for $30US ... just supply the script.

I have a bizarre multi focal prescription they won't make without personal fitting. Clearly contacts do it in Australia. Hubby has single vision easy and free under insurance. Even with top cover mine cost $400. At least since my surgery they don't change very often.

Because I'd already had a pair this year, my insurance wouldn't cover anything of my wife's. Peed off to the max, I have almost recovered after 3 months

We are under an old plan that still has separate cover for both of us but it still stings. In the old days you could roll over unused cover and get a new pair every 2 years but that changed and you have to use it every year or loose it.

I have worn glasses all my life and the cost in Australia has always been a bugbear. When I worked I would get them in South Korea. They make them up in 24hours and deliver to the hotel. Less than $50

Have to throw in a vaping post.

Do you find vaping leaves a film on your glasses :p
No, but VG leaves a film on the inside of the windscreen of the Chrysler (not so much on the Triumph though ). Imagine if I was at a higher level (in watts) or higher VG than the 20 or 30 I am now

Also imagine the lungs ...

I am at 70% PG but the windows did get a bit foggy during winter when the house was closed up. Nothing like the nicotine that used to coat everything in our house. Took me months and a repaint to clean that up.

Actually I think we have a great bunch of people here with a huge breadth of knowledge about gear that has been put on the back burner by all the low ohm high power manufacturers. Ask questions and if we don't know @Boden will. :pervy:
 Aww shucks mam, i'ma just tryn ta help out win I can
