Thanks for the congratulations, all. It does feel good to suddenly realize that I'm done with cigarettes. I had that half pack sitting by the door for the last week, and each time I wanted one I'd talk myself out of it. Now I don't even have to do that. I have NO desire after trying just one drag this morning. Yuck! And just a week ago I LIKED that?

Yeah, I should have picked up my vape. My thought process was, "Hey, if I have a real cigarette I HAVE to go outside - and away from the kids for a few minutes!" I love my grandbabies to death. I guess I'm just too used to my peace and quiet now ;)

Andria, feel better! Being sick just sucks.

And now for your mandatory Sunday enjoyment:

I'm just hoping it's not the flu. Had a wretched night, very little sleep, and after I woke up and fixed my husband's breakfast, I went and snoozed on the couch for about 2 1/2 hrs. Now gonna try to eat a little something, see if that helps or hinders.

I just feel weak, tired, just a hair on the side of queasy, and the other end is having a few problems not fit for discussion. :D No lung problems, and since I no longer have a chestful of tar and mucus, not sure my lungs would get into the act, if it was flu. I just dunno what's up with this stupid, stupid body.

Andria

Well, I finally had something to eat, and so far so good. :thumb: I was already starting just a tiny bit, before dinner, with those unmentionable problems from the other end, so maybe dinner just didn't agree with an already-upsot digestion.

Does the Airflow control bases for the Protank 2 increase the airflow?

YES, YES, and YES! I've replaced all my bases on my PTs with airflow controllers. It opens them up quite nicely. I prefer the V3 bases (1-5 holes) as opposed to the V1 bases (controlled with a "screw ring" that covers only 3 1mm holes in the base.) Not to mention that the V1s tend to get "rusty" when washed and left to airdry. The V3s look to be brushed stainless?

*waving back at Dinger!*

Hope your SO feels better soon! We frequently have a scrounge night. We call it FFY (Fend For Yourself) LOL

It's a day-at-a-time thing, Robin. No "cure" for M.S. She's been extremely fatigued lately. Gets up to go sleep in her recliner or gets out of the recliner to come to bed. Breaks my heart that I can't fix it.

I'm so sorry :(

I know the feeling. It hurts when they hurt and you can't do a damned thing about it.

I'm so sorry. M.S. just sucks. It's hard to watch someone you love go through that, and feel so very helpless.

Just hit 8 months cigarette free today and dam it feels good. After 55 years of smoking I did not think it was possible to quit. I think vaping saved what is left of my life and will be eternally grateful for all the great info I have gotten here. Thanks everyone I now have my one year vapeaversary in my sights.
That's amazing. You need to pat yourself on the back for this. Unbelievable.

Yup. I'm a damn "fixer", and it's frustrating...

We relish the good days, and just get through the "less-than-good" days.

We are here if you need us. :)

I know :) and I don't have the words to express what that means to me. ECF has become my family. I try not to whine because I see so many others out here who have their struggles. I have a brother and a sister, but since our parents have passed (over 6 years ago) we just don't speak to each other. I do have a couple of cousins with whom I have maintained relations, but one is in Atlanta, and the other is still a couple of hours away. Her family doesn't live that far from us, but they just don't "get" it. They don't understand when she's not feeling well - they just think it's because she doesn't want to see them. LIVE with this for even a few days. You'll see what this is *REALLY* about.

I really don't *know* any of you, but I feel like you're my dearest friends.... Thanks :)

Thinking of getting some PT2's found some for under $7 each. Prolly 3 of them.
Now to find the bases, the same place does not have the bases.

@DingerCPA I really hope things get better for you!!

@Robert Cromwell Yeah, I would go with the ones Sweet-Vapes carry because its the real Aerotank "Stainless" base not the Chrome finish ones like the Genitanks, which most website sell without specifying..

just think Lord Cromwell -- if you invest several of those $7 chunks then you can put it into a single high powered mod. :w00t:

Found em. Now I see the difference the ones I had seen elsewhere were the old style ones.
The base is just $2 less than I will pay for the tank with 2 coils and a trim ring.

    Why? I like smaller clowdz.
Anyway I have ordered a spring loaded 510 base and a .6v-6v 20A chip to make a Hexohm style mod with. Dual series 18650. VV 20amp.

I know ya do brother -- but I can always keep throwing out hints and try to psychologically manipulate you until you slowly become a modwomper :) Maybe some day you will transpose over to the dark side :)

Well, the Hexohm mod would be pretty powerful? What's up with that?

Same here. I absolutely did not think it was possible. But, it is! And, it's even EASY!

I knew in theory that vaping was possibly saving me from a horrible death with emphysema or something. But, it's turned out to have a more immediate health benefit.

I had open heart surgery a couple of months ago. It turns out that the number one cause of death after OHS is pneumonia. After vaping for 4 1/2 years, my lungs stayed nice and clear. I do have COPD. Vaping didn't make that go away. But, as bad as the shortness of breath was this summer, I can't imagine surviving (or wanting to survive) if I also had all that tar in my lungs too.

Vaping is an absolute miracle! I'm grateful for vaping and ECF every single day!

I think that's why my daughter can't seem to quit. Smoking to her is going outside and taking a break from work or kids. Of course, she's also a gung-ho kind of person, always on the move, and no patience whatsoever. But, when it starts to effect her health someday, things will probably change. And, I'll be here waiting to help whenever she's ready.

Just going to make a nice Cherry wood mod and I want VV so I can tootle puff on it if I want. For a long time on 2 18650 batteries.
I could have ordered a 30 Amp chipset but I figured 20 was plenty. Don't want to blow my face off or anything ;) Also mine will have a fuse. 25 amps will blow the fuse on the battery output. I have also found an itty bitty DVM that I will likely put in it, making it cooler than the Hexohm.
I also ordered the resin to make stabilized wood. I have the needed equipment to do it. Vac tank and vac pump and old toaster oven.

Cataract surgery in these days involves putting in a lens that frees people from glasses except for reading.

I'm not sure of the details, but my sister-in-law got what are essentially bifocal lenses put in, so she doesn't even need reading glasses. She is very, very happy with them

Her family doesn't live that far from us, but they just don't "get" it. They don't understand when she's not feeling well - they just think it's because she doesn't want to see them. LIVE with this for even a few days. You'll see what this is *REALLY* about.

I'm in a Facebook group for those of us with a related condition (Transverse Myelitis) and a lot of the discussion is about the problems with having an "invisible" illness, and how to explain to people. You (both) might want to look up "Spoon Theory." It's a good and simple way of trying to explain to other people what having a chronic illness is like. It doesn't always get through, but sometimes it does.
