Well I'll be danged. Nice to see you, Zoe. I didn't realize you were still around (no offense intended - not at all).

Welcome to the wonderful world of Tootle Puffers. Grab a wristband on your way out, and tipping is frowned upon, but not prohibited.

Happy New Year!

No kidding! I haven't seen you around in like.. forever! Hey Zoe!!!! :headbang:

Happy New Year, and welcome to the rest of us tootle puffers!!

Just spent a ton of money on another geekout after 2 years of practically nothing but plain old vaping plain old VG/PG on my plain old regulated mod.

Suddenly I realize that I'm a tootle puffer who doesn't NEED all the gear or the newest equipment. I don't even LIKE flavored e juice.

*sigh*

Hi Zoe ....... I am the quiet one. :p

But a loud and proud tootle puffer. Welcome to our cool corner

Caution: mandatory vaping post

Yesterday, I thought I'd clean up and/or recoil some of the tanks sitting in my tray ready for a trip on Sunday. Included in these tanks were an eLeaf GS Air-M and an eGo ONE 1.8ml tank with a 1.0ohm CLR coil. I intended only to clean and store the GS Air, as I found that while it produced good flavour and vapour, the coil tended to dry hit a bit even after recoiling. I just didn't feel it was perservering with when I could use the easily recoiled CLRs, which are a design I like (horizontal coil, wicks exposed directly into the eLiquid).

Anyhow, I had both tanks side by side, with the bases removed from the tanks with the coils still in place when I noticed that the threads on each looked mightily similar. Something prompted me to see whether the eGo ONE base would fit the GS Air tank. Well, it didn't as the CLR coil is too long/the cap is too big a diameter to allow the coil to sit in the correct spot of the tank. So I removed the CLR, and lo and behold the base screwed in.

So I thought, what if I remove the cap off the CLR? Well, it fits into the tank, and the base screws up but I am fairly confident it'd leak like a sieve due to the length of slot now exposed to liquid and no seal between the top of the coil and the tank. Hmmm, what if I use the silicon cap off an EVOD/ProTank coil? Not only does it fit, it doesn't leak and works better than either tank singularly.

In discussion with Krisma on why the GS Air is a more flavourful tank, well the eGo ONE tank has a ~8mm inner diameter chimney whereas the GS Air has a ~4mm inner diameter chimney. That'd do it :)

Now I have a 4ml tank where the level of liquid can be easily seen, is easier to fill than the eGo ONE tank, and has coils that are easily rebuilt and don't dry hit. Note: the CLR coils are a 8mm thread, the GS coils are a 7mm thread so the eGo ONE tank base has to be used.

Displays the slightly modified CLR coil, with Kanger silicon cap:

On an eGo ONE 1100mAh battery, overall length is 110mm including drip tip:

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
seasoned, wise, experienced, zoe... you know what ya like! btw, i bet you've amassed quite the XL carto collection? :p lolz. you GOTTA git into the rebuild game, zoe... It's worth it, I promise! <33 Happy Newyears everyone! GOODNIGHT!!
Actually, I only have 2 XL cartotanks and I don't care for them because it takes so long to prep the cartomizers. I've just bought an RBA for my Reo but I realized I don't need that for my vaping purposes. Just more stuff I'll have and not use....lol

Are they still selling the HH357 510 attys?? If you refuse to rebuild, I'd hope ya can still get some 357's?? In-fact, I'd love to purchase one of them bad-boys if they're still being produced. Those things lasted forever... I suppose a nice bridgeless 510 would be great on a REO as-well. I'm sure you saw the bridgeless attys on-sale at VaporBank today? haha. Here's to you, for keeping it real & keepin it true! If I could afford disposable vaping, I'd prob be there w/ya honestly. I've realized simplicity is the BEST option when it comes to vaping... If I could, I'd use change-out coils exclusively. BCC's, probably. Beautiful Provari !! Happy Newyear!

Goodnight! For REAL this time!! :)

I'm in FL 5 years now and when I talk to anyone I get "Oh you're from Brooklyn!" I ask them how they could tell and they tell me by your accent.
I ask them, "What accent?" Your the one with the accent!!

QFT, abstolutely, LJF!

Umm ... it's almost 12:30am 2016 here, so happy new year fellow travellers :)

And a VERY happy Newest Year to all my lil TPuffers. Let the turning of the calendar be yours, in every way.

Ummm, no. All New Yorkers/New Jersey'ers have a very distinctive accent -- there are probably variations, like variants of the various British accents, but it's very easy for anyone who's not from the NY/NJ area to tell that someone else is -- just as it's easy for an American to hear a Brit accent -- we may not get the exact region, but we can tell it's definitely British. I can only tell the diff between Irish/Scots/English -- and with the English variant, I can hear the diff between "Oxbridge" "London posh" and "cockney" (mainly because I just flat can't understand cockney at all!) but other variants, not so much.

I can *usually* discern the diff between Aussie and English, but not always, particularly if the Aussie is extremely well-educated -- it begins to sound like Oxbridge then.

I have a southern accent myself, but an odd one; I don't "drawl" (speak very slowly) -- I speak fast, and I've been asked if I'm from England! I thought that was very odd. :D

And a South African "accent" is determined by? ;) Do tell.

I got the most awesome'est surprise in one of my House of Hybrids Holiday Mystery Boxes
full

It was only the Sidewinder body only but I had enough HOH parts to complete the mod. Stuck a Kabuki on it with a GMZ Mini Ionizer and it "vapes a treat" to quote Todd :D

Huge congrats, K2. That is wild and wonderful!!!

MY bill was about $15. got a few bridgeless attys, drip tips and other odds n ends.
think I will put a bridgeless atty in a short carto tank and fill the tank with colored water and glitter....

aha. Learning, aren'tcha. ;)

Well, I read up, and I guess I'm a tootle puffer. :headbang: I got my fancy 75W eVic VTC mini.....aaaaaand it's probably never gonna go past 8.5 watts. Seems like a nice club! Happy New Year, err-buddy!

Welcome, @jumphour and @EvilZoe.

Would you like a wristband? (the wrist hair is free)

Happy New Year to you all, here's to another smoke free year.

I'm not ready to take my Santa hat off yet :)

You can leave your hat on.

Happy Newest Year, Rixy. Miss ya lots!!!

I've tried over and over. When I click on the little picture of the cart, I get a drop-down where I can either just view what's in my cart in the drop-down or I can click on Checkout. That's it.
Go to view cart. The coupon spot is there, not once you hit checkout.

South African is an odd one; Afrikaans is a descendant of Dutch, so there's a bit of that sound; most of them seem to learn English from a British-speaker, so they get that sound too -- so sort of a cross between a Dutch and British accent. Afrikaans-speakers and Dutch-speakers can probably discern that the root accent isn't actually Dutch, but that's how it sounds to *my* ears.

Welcome to the Tootle Puffers! Lots of great people here! Some straddle the line and can claim to fit with both the Tootlers and the Modwompers...but that's okay. We don't judge!

I'm with you there...except I do like menthol e-juice. Going on my 5th year as a full time vaper. I have bought a few "new" things this past year that are actually "last year's models" for some features that appealed to me. Long battery life, passthrough capable, VV/VW. Have become a fan of the Innokin stuff big time. Couldn't afford them when they came out (MVP, MVP20, MVP3, MVP3Pro, CoolFire IV, VV/V3) but can now! bwahahaha! They are all reduced! Anyway, I have no use for TC, sub ohm, high wattage, or anything like that. I usually vape somewhere around 7 watts to maybe 9 watts, max with 1.5ohm atomizers. Favorite tanks are Cero and GS Air M. My needs are simple. Nice thing about being that way is that lots of stuff is going on clearance now as the Kloudz people clamor loudly for higher/more power and lower sub ohms. Get to reap the benefits! BWAhahahaha!!!

Ah, I love the smell of gunpowder at midnight... smells like NEW YEAR'S EVE!!!! :D

HAPPY NEW YEAR, DEAR TOOTLE PEEPS!!!

And BTW, 45 with a sharp breeze and high humidity is pretty dadgum cold!!! But I got a free fireworks show; apparently half of everybody in a 5 mile radius is celebrating wtih fireworks. Sounds like the British are coming. :D

Andria
We only stayed up until just after midnight (yawning mightily most of the time)..but watched the ball drop in NY on TV, and all our neighbors went nuts with the pyrotechnics all around us...so we had the shades open and watched the show from the comfort of our den! Our dog wasn't very happy...cried some and really REALLY wanted to go to bed. But the cat was mostly unfazed. He jumped the first mortar blast or two...then ignored the rest.
