Yeah, I couldn't deal with that; I think the preference in sleeping temperature is just another reason my husband and I need separate bedrooms, besides his leaping about in his sleep and snoring like a freight train. I've always read and heard that the temp should be cooler while sleeping, because too much heat when you're asleep dries out the mucus membranes, which is the chief cause of colds and flu, it gives the virus microscopic cracks in which to enter. I always turn the thermostat to 70 degrees when I go to bed, though if the weather is really really cold, then I turn it to 69 -- the more it has to run, the more it will dry you out. Actually I've often wondered if my husband has any blood, he goes around freezing all the time, and I am *just* starting to come out of "the hotflash years"; which is great, considering I've been having hot flashes for nearly 20 yrs now! (I got started young!

) My mom didn't stop having them till she was nearly 70, and I'm not quite 55! Yay!
But, since I got the humidifier and a new space heater for my bedroom that has a beautifully-functional thermostat, I can have it just a bit warmer in my room when I'm sleeping but not get all dried out, which is really nice.
