Mmm, one of my favorites. I've also been rediscovering my love of mallomars, lately. Publix has a GREAT store-brand of those, the marshmallows are nice and fluffy-soft, not hard and chewy like the ones from wally world.

It's a conspiracy. Sauce and gravy is used to hide an inability to cook flavour into the actual meal or to hid the scungy bits on the food.

Not always, though they can be. But with a traditional turkey/stuffing/potatoes dinner, you GOTTA have gravy. And pasta is pretty boring stuff without some sauce of some kind. Ditto rice, though rice can go for either sauce or gravy.
