Anyone who got any bright words today?

I'm beginning to see and hear things which aren't really there. I'm overthinking everything. I struggle with even basic communication with people I don't know, especially people with a "higher power" (f.ex hospital workers, doctors, public service, teachers..). When speaking to people I don't know really well, I struggle speaking loud enough, feel like I have to scream so they can hear, I struggle finding even simple words. I have problems deciding for myself, and struggle in finding joy. I get no compassion/empathy to other people any longer. I feel like everyone is looking at me, judging me even though I know they aren't, oversensitive to rejections. Together with being depressed, all this pressure it's a wonder I'm not totally broken down. Writing this with a "lump" in my stomach and chest.

I talk to the psychologist, but I struggle even talking with her. I have problems talking about myself and can't find words for how I feel. And I've went to several over the past years, but I've always ended up switching or stopping going as I feel they're not helping, only judging in the end, even though I look back at it and can then see that they weren't! Had a really difficult childhood, and then pushed right into a difficult adulthood. And I can't even speak for myself.
Awe sweetie. Here are some words for you. It WILL get better. Promise. You're at a low point right now but it will get better. You see, I've struggled with depression my whole life. I'm 53 now, and it's a LOT better - I take Citalopram. Not sure how old you are, but when I was young, I had the SAME stuff happen to me. I thought everyone was against me -- > even if they weren't. It's a HORRIBLE feeling and makes you feel inadequate, unloved, and insecure. But, the ONE thing you have to keep in mind at this point, is that YOU ARE IMPORTANT. You DO mean something. We ALL love you here. Heck, if you were some piece of crap person, we wouldn't even talk to you. But you aren't! You're cool and just need to chill a little. Go back to the doc, try different meds til you find something that works for YOU. YOU deserve to be happy!

Thank you for the kinds words!

I can't really say that I am on a low point right now. I've been on a low point most of my life, of course periods worse than others. But now, since the beginning of 2015, things have just gotten worse. I always go out with a bright vision and hope for the future and truly believe it will get better. And it has, for a day now and then. But so it continues. If it wasn't for my daughter, I probably wouldn't get up in the morning at all. I really do my best to keep going and to be the best father and boyfriend I can be, but it sure ain't easy with all these things holding me down.

Just get a piece of paper, and write down ALL your blessings, ALL the good things. Tape it on the mirror. Wake up and clap your hands 3 times. Say three times: It's gonna be a great day, etc. And, to keep this thread vape friendly, watch a funny show, vape, watch another funny show, vape, take a jog, vape, hug your daughter, vape, vape and more vape. Love ya!

Explained better than I can.
Have you went to an actual Medical Doctor that provides medicine instead of talking for an hour? I'm not suggesting or even against it, just wondering,..
I know what you are going through bro.

I agree with this; medication can bring the brain's chemistry back to something approaching normal, so that you can actually benefit from therapy; when your neurochemistry is screwed up, therapy isn't terribly helpful -- it's like a bandaid on an amputation.

I agree, but the culture is VASTLY different; some of it -- such as anything to do with the C of E -- just doesn't translate, leaving us Americans just kinda scratching our heads.

Doctor HAS to know exactly what hes doing though. But, for me it did help after trial and failure of different meds.

Just a case in point -- I was an adult before I knew what a "vicar" was... and I thought for a long time it was pronounced "vy-car" rather than "vicker". It's just not used in the US. We call 'em preachers, pastors, ministers, or (catholics) priest or "Father"... never "vicar."

2 countries separated by a common language, indeed... :D

I had taken the eGrip out of my daily rotation as I had gotten used to a looser draw since going back to my beloved drippers. However, I had ordered a couple of 2mm Cobalt drills to pop an additional air hole in the bottom of the CL base ala the RBA. They arrived this morning (well, vapemail IS better than bills

) and I promptly drilled a hole in the CL base.

What a difference

Nice easy draw, good vapour and taste ... just brilliant
