Just bought this Igo L thing on a site that's shutting down.

I needed it to reach the magic number for the discount while buying all of their remaining smok coils.

What did I buy? Any opinions on it?

Thanks.

Jay :headbang:

I think it's a pretty good RDA, for tasting. Kinda tight-draw, good for tootle peeps. I crossed it off my list because of its lack of a well.

I felt the same at first, positively terrified at the thought of messing with "electrical stuff." I'm a girly girl in *some* ways. :D But I got so curious hearing about the stupefying vape to be had from building one's own, and curiosity is generally all it takes for me to somehow get over my qualms. :D Plus I was sick of waiting on the damn mailman to BRING ME MAH COILS!

Once you decide to take the plunge, lots of folks 'round hyeah to help you, guide you, and make the whole process a lot easier.

You have no idea how much better I feel after reading this ^^^^

I'm not really a girlie girl (don't let the profile pic fool you...I'm not a guy :) )

I will definitely come here for help if, no, make that, when I want to rebuild.

After delivering mail here in Canada for over 30 years (now retired! Woohoo!)and having read your response, I now understand how and why some of my customers were so irritated when I didn't have their parcels....they were waiting for vape gear!!!! Suddenly it all makes sense :)

Cheers Andria and thanks again

:p I had to laugh. I am one of those books and numbers kind a gal. I like the classic elegant fashions but I am having such fun figuring out how to make vaping work just for me. We even starting building our own mods and although I have a very handy woodworking husband, I taught myself how to put all the components together. I managed to do it without soldering (not good with power tools) and I am loving vaping on gear I put together myself. Such a sense of pride in ownership. :p

We are working on a new matching pair and I am hoping they will be ready for a big reveal on our 4 year vaping anniversary next month. It's like they represent the journey we have taken

If the GS airs just had an available RBA deck....

Actually I just did a build on a new RTA today that reminds me a lot of the GS Air M - the Aqua V2. Wonderful flavor and easily built to tootle puffer specs. I had to use a GS Air drip tip on it because I couldn't find anything else that looked right. From a distance it looks just like my M tanks.

Did you get a Chalice III to go with your Squonk Flask?

I'd ordered a Chalice III with my Owl, but klutzo here broke it within a day. Hence the velocities. :)

Anyone heard of the Geyscano 50W Squonker?

Edit - Sweet-Vapes shows top Ohm rating at 1.0omhs.. that sucks!

Heard of it, but I think it was a little spendy and there was something else I wasn't crazy about..... Heard some good things about VF squonk clone - and TC if I want to play

I'm not really a girly girl either -- no makeup or fancy hairdo here, just no patience with that stuff -- I'd rather play on the computer or read a good book. :D But I was definitely "girly" about "electrical stuff," and still am about most stuff to do with car engines -- much too messy and dirty for me. :D

But twisting a piece of wire around a drill bit, no sweat. There's a bit of a learning curve with getting the wicking just right, but that comes, the more you do it -- you just start to realize the right amount for slipping easily thru a given size of coil, while filling it, leaving no air spaces.

But when i first got here, I was flat-out determined, I would NEVER build coils, uh uh, no way, my mind was closed to it completely. Then I started realizing... I had already done by far the scariest thing I could possibly do -- stop smoking cigarettes! When I realized that, I thought, maybe I should open my mind a bit, see what I might be able to do, since I'd already done that wickedly scary thing, and it turned out not to be so hard at all, with e-cigs and the great support around here. So glad I had the idea of using e-cigs to stay off the front porch in the middle of the dead of winter. :D

Gals building coils. The last one was who I learned from and works really well if using silica wicks.
Generally speaking ladies can do better fine work with their hands than men can.

Vaping has opened my mind up to a lot of information that I would never have bothered to try and understand but the logical side of my brain was not satisfied until I understood what everything meant, did or how it worked and then how to make it work for me. Building and wicking coils makes perfect sense once you start but for me it's about the fuss factor. I like popping open a blister pack and moving on and the ones I do rebuild they are silica wicks so a quick dry burn every week and a monthly change of coils and I am good to go. Remember I only vape high PG mints and menthols and only have one coil gunking Eliquid so I don't have the same issues that a lot of folks have with funky coils and wicks.

That's true, about fine work; a lot of my problem with it at first was just being able to see it properly; my up-close vision is the total PITS, but one of those magnifying visors from Harbor Freight helped a GREAT deal, until i got comfortable enough with it to not really need it. I do sometimes go to my slightly-stronger reading glasses, but not always.

And as mentioned, I think in this thread, the most valuable tool I've acquired for coil-building is undoubtedly my 3" vise, to hold those pesky bases firmly in place while I get the wires around the screws, so I don't have to chase the silly things all around the counter; it makes the lack of a 3rd hand a lot easier to deal with. :D

I use to use a large paper clip to make coils for the protank or any CE5. Take the paper clip, a little rayon or cotton or silica and wrap 5 - 7 wraps. Was quick and easy to rebuild them coils.

Soooo, what didja hate about the nautilus mini?
Too many bad coils right from the box @ $3 each. A tank that would not unscrew sometimes, no matter how careful you put it together even if you lubed the o-rings beforehand. The Nautilus mini was much better than any Kanger BVC/BDC tank at the time (Genitank), then I brought home my first Kayfun and it was all over for the Nautilus mini.

The Kayfun brought massive savings on coils since I made my own, also there is the vape experience which provides better flavor over the Nautilus. The Kayfun can sometimes not be a grab and go if it has to be rewicked, there are no coils you can just throw in. The maintenance of rewicking/rebuilding is all part of the enjoyment of using an RTA. :)

The Aqua V2 is an excellent RTA in single or dual coil mode. A very flavorful vape and the ability to access the deck without draining the tank.

Congratz on the Aqua V2!

yeah at $150 a pop! Heck it ought to recoil itself for that price.
