Actually leakage is caused by differences in pressure. Ideally the vacuum at the top is equal to the available air at the bottom (or less). Applying more vacuum can only pull more liquid into the carto's center tube.

Also, to avoid leakage when not in use ... lay it on it's side. Gravity really is a law of physics.

Will those work on the sigelei?

    No, they're not tall enough.

A kayfun ring will work, if a) you file it down (the height) just a little, or b) you can loosen the 510 screw to extend a little further -- tobecos can do that; EHpro's and authentics can't, or the mounting block also loosens.

    Here's a kayfun ring --

    kayfunring-as-beautyring.jpg

(it's taking the place of the top-cap -- it doesn't fasten, it just sits there loose, held down by whatever's on top of it -- if the screw extends too far, it will rattle around)

I wonder if an iTaste SVD(First Version) top Ring would work.. If I had a Zmax I could check.. but I don't.. :/
If I had an iTaste SVD then I could check it.
    ;)
I'll hop on over to Carolina. Do you think I can make it there from Denver before rush hour?

If you take a Plane! :p Does the Cool Fire 1 have a top ring?
Our airport is in the middle of nowhere. It's hard enough to get there before rush hour.

The Coolfire 1 does not have a top ring. It has a cool looking beauty ring, though.

I got more vapemail today! Batteries! 18490 button top.

You, my dear Sir, have read my mind! Now if only *I* had some of those white O-rings........ ;)

I definitely want to change up the Os on my Kabukes, as I've got 2 replacement glass tanks that just slip and slide on and off. It'll be interesting to try out the new O rings <coughhintDPLcough>.

    And good morning, Toots. :)

    Morning everyone

Kat with orings you can double up. I found when that happens to me I use two orings of the same diameter but half the thickness. This dual surface sticks better. You can also buy something called an "x" profile o-ring (same as the bottom one on a Bella) that does the same thing. Local bearing parts shop stocked them for me.

I have always found my tanks work better on a slight incline. Which is why you seen mine on those little soap dish like trays.

The only time mine that I leave upright leak is when there is a big temperature change or if my orings are just a bit worn.

Congrats to all the Cloupor winners. I had to give up the thread...it was even more manic than this one.

    Thankees!

I agree! I tried to keep up in the beginning but after a few days I kind of gave up. As much as I wanted the new shiny, I needed my sanity more. :)

I'm still amazed I managed to win one.
