This one might qualify, looks a bit steampunkish to me.

That coil has holiday garland on it, how cute.

I'll just stick to my plain ole 37c Boge cartos. Thanks just the same.

Guess I better like them being as I have enough for about two lifetimes.

add:
last thing I would want is a "big bore" carto! The small diameter is what makes them work so well.
Ever tried an airflow control ring on one?

but just think with a big bore carto we could have sub ohm cartomizers. Just think a vertical coil 1 inch long!

That's my point! You would NEED to go sub ohm for it to work. With an 8.5mm ID they work fine @ 3 ohms.

Yeah but just think what Rip Tripper would think about a 1 inch long vertical coil inside a tank running at 150 watts... And you would have room for a 1 ohm TC coil.

Or you could keep the inside diameter of the coil smaller and be more of a tootle Puff rig. Or use TC wire and have a perfect 1 ohm TC rig?

I've started using DCT's, but the learning curve seems a bit steep for such a simple tootling device.

First off, it's too easy to ruin a carto. If there is even the smallest pocket of dryness at the bottom, you get a burned hit and, as far as I can tell, a ruined carto. Any way to salvage them?

Second, it seems like a lot of them slide around and leak. I found some cheap ones that lock up good, though. I still managed to burn a carto in one.

    Tips appreciated.

    Also have a Crate GX30M.

The neighbors hate me with a passion when I get that and the strat out :D

    I play in the basement...
Guess that depends on your talent/skill... if you play like Neil Young, no problem.

I wouldn't mind having Neil Young's guitar talent at all. Great player. I absolutely hate most of his music, though. (Dives to avoid flying shoes) I know several of his songs, though, 'cause the other guys in the band enjoy playing "Rocking In The Free World" and "Powderfinger". 'S alright, though. They have to play rhythm and background while I play my little surf medley.

Sorry, I'm building a audio amplifier powered mod and the discussion veered off into left-field I'm afraid.

You know that isn't true at all. Cromwell came up with the idea, you stole it and ran off to left field with it, hoping you wouldn't get caught stealing intellectual property.

    Attention all Manufacturers!!!

We need new Tootle gear! Enough with the inefficient, huge, power hungry vape gear!!

I personally want better cartomizers with a bit more airflow, get on it!!!

    That is all... Grrrrrr

    (That'll show em)

Yeah!!! And cartos that fill and moisten completely in 5 seconds or less!

Plus small clearos that never flood! Coil heads that last forever!

Those DCTs were a poorly designed tank (on purpose). They tried to lock you into using their flanged pre-punched cartos.

It worked too, and Smok changed from an "also ran" to a front runner in the industry because of the heavy run on their cartos.

So after a day or two with the Protank back on my damaged Sigelei mini...the threads stripped out more. Now the Plume Veil really is the only thing that will fit on it. And I don't want to use the fartsucking Plume Veil! Just feeling a bit annoyed that I can't get new gear right now.

Hmmmm, the 2 ohm coil in this A7 (8.5mm ID) is starting to taste a little soft, guess I better swap out the huge (650 mAh) 14500 battery. Damn thing only lasted for 6 hours!
Yeah had to put another 650 ma batt on my 1.6 ohm T3. Darned things only last for about 4 ml of juice...

    Get an ego adapter.

And this will fix your Provari. If the te ego threads on it will hold it. And give you a spring loaded center pin as well.

    Hello Tootle Puffers,

Y'all seem like a warm and friendly crew.

I only started vaping about 2 months ago and gave up the cigs after 1 week. I've been slightly overwhelmed by the learning curve but I'm catching on (slowly). Finding ECF has been a Godsend - so many helpful folks willing and able to steer us newbies in the right direction.

I'm very happy to have found the Tootle Puffers forum and look forward to dropping in often. I'm retired and live in Western Canada. And no, that's not me in my profile pic :)

    Cheers!
Hey, welcome! I'm kinda "new" here, too. That is....I have been a vaper for 4 years (my anniversary is on the 29th) and a member at ECF since 2012. Used to be fairly active here until late 2013 when I kind of drifted away from the forum. Not sure why. Anyway, a couple of months ago I was reminded of the good times (and knowledge/tips/generosity) here at ECF and wandered back. Besides, I recently changed my vaping equipment and thought I probably could do with some edumacation. Of course I gravitated to the Tootle Puffers ...because I am one! And Kat is one of my dear friends from the old days at ECF. Pull up a chair and make yourself at home!

BTW...I lived in Calgary for several years when I was a child. Loved it there!

Just remember that not all taps are created equal. The one in the pic is a "starter tap". You want a finishing tap.

OOPS, Robert beat me to it. :)
I always called them bottoming taps since you could cut threads to the bottom of the hole.
