Not much of a gap, but you can see a little air under it if you hold it in front of a light. Which is a great thing; with my iSticks, all my kayfuns sit completely flush, and there is ALWAYS built-up condensed ejuice all over the top of it when I take the tanks off -- which is one reason I don't expect those iSticks to last too long. The iSticks also all have circular scratches on them, because of the flush fit.
Innokin knows what they're doing.

Yeah, I barely noticed it, I just saw light come through a tiny bit when i had it in-front of my monitor. With an Aerotank I didn't notice it, but with 22mm devices I did, then looked at the top and noticed that ring, figured they made it that way for a reason!

Me too; I've got 3 already, and I'm pretty sure I'll have at least 1 more.. maybe 2 more... I love the purple, and also the gold, so at some point I'll probably add both of them.
But I'll wait till next year, they can be part of my 2016 updates. Andria
Mine hits better cause it's got Rixsta on the side of it, you know, like my car is faster than yours as it says turbo on it...but that's going back 20 years..Man, This Cool Fire IV is so nice!! Thing is tiny but it puts out some good power! Currently have an Arctic tank on it .5ohm coil at 30Ws and it delivers it great!! Even with my Big hands it feels good, can't wait to try the GS Air M on it!!

I made a cheap 18650 mod into a cheap 18350 mod last night. Now I have a 3 1/2" tall pocket size mod that will fire a .5 ohm subtank coil. I be blowin' some clouds in the courtyard, bro.
Innokin_Ash said they put that Ring a hair line up for Heat Dissipation. I'm not cloud chasing. At least not at the moment.
It's just so I can be one of the cool kids with a subtank without having to lug a big ol' box mod around.
Or maybe because I wanted a small regulated tube mod that doesn't cost $100.
And I had a cheap mod just come in from Mr Chen (another gift). I decided that I didn't really have any use for another 18650 tube mod, but I had just seen how slim the pickings were for 18350's.
So I modified it, and now I have a pretty cool little regulated tube mod to put in my pocket and take to work.
Plus, it works great for tootle puffing, and a true cloud chaser wouldn't want to be seen anywhere near it.
