"It is not safe".
And smoking is?
"You should just quit smoking"
I did, I started vaping which is at least 90% safer than smoking.
"But it is still not safe"
Neither is riding in a car. You gonna quit riding in a car?
"Of course not. Do you think I am stupid?"
I dunno.......
Almost excactly how all my conversations turn out when speaking to most smokers or people who already are sceptical of vaping.

Okay...I think I'm may have to cave. Maybe. I watched a YouTube on how to rebuild coils for the GS Air, and I think I "get" it. But I like things nicely pigeonholed...the right tool for the job and all that. So, although this may be moved pretty quick into a different thread I wanted to ask really quickly here: I am looking at some kits/jigs on Ebay. Is 1.6mm the same as what people are calling 16 for the size "needle" needed to coil a GS Air for 1.5ohms? Is it possible to make the ohms a bit higher with the GS air coils? Like maybe 2.1? Any charts explaining number of turns around the needle/wire size/ohms result anywhere? What size and type wire? Is Kanthal correct? I can get a kit with tweezers and little clippers and whatnot (already have an ohm checker). I need something pretty basic, since I won't be varying much from 1.5-2.1 ohms...ever. So, please someone point me to a nice kit at a vape store online, or tell me a few details to look for. Please?:thumb::hubba:

EDIT to add: Oh yeah. Price. Please please...I need economical! Very ecomonical! Nothing fancy or pricey (I consider $40 "pricey")
You can check out Coil-Master Coiling kit http://www.coil-master.net/
Makes it very easy to roll the coil..

* You can get a different brand one of the same style for cheaper if you search around! :)

Check out this place for coil wrapping.
http://www.steam-engine.org/

And I haver no clue as to the gauges of needles as relating to diameter. I use drill bits to wrap around. And Kanthal wraps better if you anneal it with a lighter flame first. Plenty of vids on youtube about coil wrapping and annealing.

I checked and a 1/16 drill bit is about 1.6 MM should work fine it is what I use for coil wrapping in stock Kanger T3 heads.

also in steam engine pay attention to the heat flux in the right hand box. Green is good. you can adjust the watts up or down to see what wattage should work best for your coil.

Le sigh..... Sitting in ER with my SO. Not super critical but likely needs some medical TLC...

Grabbed an istick and an EVOD with a pt2 airflow base and stealth tootling some DIY peaches n cream :)

Can't believe I spent better part of last year with a simple EVOD. I've since become accustomed to more airflow, but haven't had to dip much below an ohm for *MY* happy vape!

Thoughts are with you, Dinger.

Ah..a most useful looking tool! Thank you! Yes...I remember from my abortive attempts at coiling back in 2013 that one is supposed to "anneal" the wire....

Anybody who really likes the looks of the subox mini?
I don't dislike the looks of it. I will likely get the Evic VTC mini though, which appears pretty similar.
Of course if that new Nebox thingy works out it would be a great pocket vape for a working person. 10 ml and about the same size as a pack of smokes. Well... wide smokes ;)

Whats funny is now, when one is out of Cigs, he wants me to set him up something to vape....

Oh, but no interest in it, once he gets a pack of cigs he never picks it up again.. wish I could get him on board..

That board is only stepped on by one who chooses to step. Your heart is good, Mikey.

LOVE it!!!

Yes! Just screw and play  You can put a silicon cup from an Evod/PT2 coil onto the chimney inside the tank, or just go bare back :D

I shall go bare back...... with only scotch tape as my saddle. (anyone picturing a certain madame Godiva vaping?)

EDIT 2: Oh yeah..PMs are fine...so we don't get "off topic" in this thread.

My darling 4th.... I don't think there's any such thing as OFF TOPIC in THIS thread! :D
And good luck on your winding thingies. :)

Yes, very much, Vapez. Are you starting to feel more interest in a non-Spinner device?

The annealing just burns off any manufacturing residue and removes most of the springiness which makes it a lot easier to wrap and stay wrapped.

Vapez, hubby won the black and the white Subox mini at two different raffles. I very much liked the hand feel of them and the looks, but being of the female persuasion needed more color in my lfe. Got some silicone cases at Sweetvapes to give me variety. They also protect the painted finish which has a tendency to chip. :)

I really am! But it's too expensive to me. Especially when I want at least 2x tanks I can use. I can't afford it. But it's beautiful. Especially in black and red

But I am however at this time satisfied with what I got, I really loved the spinner 2 as long as it worked...This setup was a huge upgrade from what I had last time. Some day, I'll experience a non-spinner type of thingy device.

FWIW....I found this. It looks promising, and I really do think I'm going to need a jig with my hands and eyes being as old as they are. Does it look good..anyone? I know to get "cellocotton" at Sally's, and I need some gauze stuff from DG. Or a coffee filter. And the right wire, of course. But maybe this kit will supply most of what is needed? http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Black-R...A-RBA-Coil-Master-Ohm-Meter-Jig-/321815027562

Not bad, but a Coil Jig like this http://www.vapordna.com/The-Ultimate-Kuro-Koiler-Wire-Coiling-Tool-p/kkw001.htm is easier as it pretty much compresses the coil for you.. Again thats just an example, generic ones are cheaper.

And you can get one that comes with different diameter rods that are interchangeable instead of just one size..

Edit* this is a pretty good deal http://www.illumn.com/coil-master-5-in-1-coil-jig-blue.html?gclid=CO36wqb328gCFcUlgQodL-IATA
