Morning All.

What a beautiful morning here in SW Florida. 57 degrees and Sunny with a high today of 74. Winter has finally arrived. I love these mornings! Finally have the A/C off after several months, all windows and sliding doors wide open, breathing in the fresh air instead of the artificial kind!!!:thumbs::thumbs:
Ahh yes Florida where you do the opposite of what you do up north. In FL you come out in the winter and hide inside in the summer.

So cold today. -10 celcius. Is it safe using my mod in such temps?

Vapez
Keep calm and vape on. When it gets bitterly below your zero, your battery will have more problems getting the atty up to vape range. If you are vaping high vg, your atty will have more trouble getting juice.

What's the "safe range"? The good thing is the mod stays cold :)

Vaping 40VG so that's not an issue.

That's for sure. I hate the summers here. Born and raised in NYC so yes the opposite, but for me I Love the Winter and I do miss the snow!! Went from snow skiing to water skiing. Hint: I'm here because of the Mrs. who's originally from Canada and hates the cold!! Go figure!!!

I was there because of the wife unit as well. She like baking on the beach in the summer. Aside from some nice 2 legged scenery I hated it. Too darned hot.
Winters are nice though. On a cold Tampa day it might get down to 45 but before noon would be 65-70.

It's 2 degrees C (about 36 F) here on the West Coast of British Columbia. Winter has arrived. After months of having the windows open, they're now snapped shut with heat/fireplace on.

I think I like your Floridian winter better :(

Cheers

Does my vacuum weigh more or less when running vs not running?

It will weigh less until it starts doing its job. Then the debris is gathers more than offsets the vacuum weight loss.

Consider your car battery - the colder it gets, the less its ability to start the car. That, and the mentioned thickening of the juice when cold are the only issues. If kept in an inside pocket unless vaping, those issues are pretty much side-stepped. And when you're actively vaping, the coil heat can slightly thin the juice back down, and your hand helps the battery keep some of its warmth :)

@juskiddin, bummer. Does happen now and then. Keep the bad ones for future rebuilding.

Great comparing! Alright, no worries then :)

Tried the 0.8 subohm coil from kanger on my aerotank. Tried from 18-26 watts. Not quite what I expected. Ended up coughing like crazy, almost out of breath. Oh well.

I'm quite found of this 2.9 vertical coil at this time. ;) (it's in a Boge carto)

And yes, gravity is a constant (32ft/sec/sec in a vacuum), but is modified by pressure. The weight of a column of liquid creates pressure.

Man... I was just reading "gravity is a constant..." when a huge racket on the other side of the kitchen drew my attention; a picture fell completely off the wall, breaking its glass, and also knocking a ceramic medallion-style ornament that was beneath it off the wall, breaking it too. :( :( :( For no reason I can see, I guess the hanger doohickey on the back of it just gave out. Gravity SUCKS! I'm just glad my cat isn't in here, it would have terrified her at the VERY least, possibly injured her if she'd been anywhere near that far wall.

But please translate, "32ft/sec/sec" for me -- is that "32 ft per second per second"? And if so, why "per second" times 2?

Gravitational acceleration is the constant being referenced.

Objects dropped into a "gravity well" will accelerate and go / fall faster and faster at that rate. 32' in the first second and faster and faster.... until "terminal velocity" is reached, which depends on air resistance.

Because whatever is under the influence of gravity will accelerate at 9.806m/s every sec, not just move at a constant speed of 9.806m/s

ETA: snap David ...
