The other thing is the fear of regulation factor. People are stocking up and making sure they are covered whatever happens. It's not just mindless buying for the sake of buying. It's buying according to a plan.
How I think as well :)

Oh, a lot more is chiming in! Love those drip tips as well. And you see that green tank behind? It's an aerotank mega clone. Vapes just as good as the original, but it has a slightly smaller airhole. But no worries.

Well - show me the plan.

Did I miss the point of your first post.

I thought you were saying people were just acquiring for the sake of it. I am pointing out some of the reasons why people buy. I don't need to justify what I do so I am speaking of generalities.

Exactly. This is exactly why I am regularly buying new stuff - especially when there are clearance sales and Black Friday sales. I don't have to in order to get a good vape right now, but I want to be sure I can always get a good vape.

So I'm not buying the latest and greatest. I've been pretty utilitarian at buying pretty basic mods on sale that take external batteries and allow me to vape in the wattage range I'm used to.

And speaking of that, I just got vape mail today - 4 new mods for my vapocalypse stash from VapeNWs Black Friday sale. 2 iStick 100W mods and 2 50W mini Jedis. No temp control. No 200W mods. I just don't need them. :D

Yep just got my second Sigeli Zmax V3 in vapemail today. for 9.99 plus I think $2 shipping. Works great, just like the other one.

so what are your thoughts on that mini Jedi ????

been thinking about it since I first saw it

a couple more $ bucks $ and it could be a TC60W (in my mind)

:)

I really thought seriously about that 60W iStick TC, but since I'm not convinced that the way I vape requires temp control, I decided against it. I don't want to have to stock up more kinds of wire and go through the learning process of building with it. I like kanthal and nichrome. I really, really rarely get a dry hit. So if that's all it has to offer, I don't need it.

I am liking this mini Jedi so far, but it's early. Only been vaping with it about an hour now. :D It doesn't have a spring loaded 510 connector, but I've gotten to the point that I always throw a Smok AFC on all my mods just to save threads, so that really doesn't matter to me. It's a lot smaller than it looks in pictures. Just a bit bigger than an iStick 30W, pretty close to the size of the Heatvape Defender 50W. One thing I don't like is I can't flip the screen. But that's a really minor annoyance for a very cheap vapocalypse mod. For $19.95, I can deal with it. :D

People now a days don't seem to spend that learning time and just move on to the next new thing without quite getting how to make the gear work for you,

That's the part the bothers me, especially when they're "pointed" to mechs without learning at least the basics of battery safety and how to check the coils....

As far as "plan" goes, for me, in addition to a few mechs in the box and lots of removeable battery regulated mods, it's about having a nic stash. My thinking is that the rest of what may be needed will be too hard (or impossible) to regulate or tax out of reach.

I am set for several years now with maybe an occasional flavoring some 18650 in a year or so and some PG/VG.
