When I looked at the needles available I looked to see if they quoted the outer diameter. The ones I ordered stated 2mm but only time will tell. I don't really trust descriptions on the Amazon site but for $3 I figured what the heck. They are coming on the slow boat from China so will be 6-8 weeks before I get them. I am happily using my bargain basement Prometey's while I wait.

Exceptffor the little fill screw thingy.
that alone keeps me away from them. I would get a Goblin Mini if it did not have the same darned fill method.

I never fill through the bottom screw. Always from the top. Just cover the air hole and fill. Then flip upside down and blow the air out and your good to go!

Fill my 3.1s that way, but do use the bottom fill on my V2s - but that's strictly a choice, they can top fill just as easily.

And I think there are after market tops designed for top fill as well.

Being such a simple and effective design it's lent itself to all sorts of ways to customize.

Are those prometey's working well then. I saw some at the German site and had been dithering then I bought some herons on the classies here and I should get to play with them next week.

Picked up a KSD Vamo Box 25 Watt from Kidney Puncher today and...

they had A7s for one dollar, oh yeah one dollar. The A7 has been eluding me for months, missed out on the 4.95 blow outs because of no international shipping. That sucked by my sad has turned to glad. One dollar A7s!!!

Very easy build, decent juice capacity and no leaking. Not even upside down!

Woofer, I picked up a few of these. Don't know how to build them, though. Can you tell me how, or point me in the right direction? They are heavier than I thought they would be!

I've got one, but I've only ever used it as a plain dripper; dunno how much of that fiber stuff to use. And then if I used up the small amount I have, I have no idea where to get more.

I run the Prometey in TC mode and it works like a champ, I need to learn to not fill it so full though.

Since 28g Ti wire is a little to high in resistance to use on the iPV D2 and there is not really any way to use a dual coil setup in the Prometey. I thought a twisted 28g would work in there just fine, 5 wraps of twisted 28g Ti on 2.4mm comes out to a perfectly acceptable 0.2ohms.

Was thinking about the polyfil for the top tank section and wondering, when you take it off to fill it, what keeps the coil wick in a proper position to touch the polyfil when you screw the tank back on? Since this was designed around Silica, a big loop of Silica wick would actually be springy enough to push against the polyfil. I don't think a Rayon wick would work quite the same.

I just happen to have have some 2.5 & 3mm hollow Eckowool that I can use. I didn't realize how big the 3mm was and now it has a purpose.
