Effexor is also very valuable against anxiety disorder, which is another of my major problems, alongside the depression, so it worked really well for me -- and took a full year to withdraw from, after I no longer had medical insurance. It's not a bandaid, and it really does require close supervision from a psychiatrist -- messing with brain chemicals is always a perilous undertaking. But it can be SO worth it!
That's what worked for my sister. I've been on Citalopram for years. Tried a few others before finding this one.

Very well said, Andria. You possess an impressive command of the English language. Ever pondered a profession in journalism? My bestie is a writer; the way in which you express yourself reminds me very much of her writing.

I've written a novel, and the lit. agent I submitted it to said it was great on characters and the actual writing, but much too light on story/conflict. So, I can write... but I'm not a storyteller at all. :( Wrote about 300,000 words of another, a historical novel, but the 9/11 crap and my depression/PTSD kinda stopped that in its tracks, and I never did manage to get back to it -- I discovered the internet and designing websites, and that interest pretty much removed any other, other than just reading books. :)

What I need is a collaborator who has a great story to tell, but just needs some help on the writing and technical aspects of organization.

My husband and I both love dogs too, but dogs are a little more labor-intensive; they have to be trained not to piddle and poop in the house, while cats know instinctively what to do with a box of sand; dogs make a lot of noise, and have to be trained on that too, as to when it's appropriate and when it's not, and even then, ehh, they forget a lot. :D Cats are very quiet, unless they're in heat or mating -- and once fixed, they don't make that sound anymore. :D Cats are very independent, so if you leave enough food and water for them, you can leave them alone for a whole day, and they'll be alright; dogs need more constant attention. If a cat runs off, there's an EXCELLENT chance he or she will be back by suppertime :D -- dogs, maybe not; they get sidetracked very easily. And unless you wanna go walkees EVERYTIME that dog needs to piddle, you need a fenced yard, because chaining a dog outside is just cruel, and also never completely fool-proof -- or dog-proof -- ditto for fences, unless you extend chainlink about a foot into the soil, but it's at least not as cruel as chaining them. And there are no laws about allowing your cat to roam around outdoors, which is very much not the case with dogs, if you live anywhere near any size town.

So... we might get a dog sometime, if we can ever afford to fence in our backyard. In the meantime, we're enjoying our cat tremendously, and might get another in a few years.

Andria

Man , your being much too hard on dogs , they are not nearly as difficult as you make them sound . Once you own one you will say to yourself my life is now complete lol.

Cats to me have an attitude problem , they act like your not good enough for them and am an inferior being , the nerve of some cats is just mind boggling lol.

Even after being away all day you come home and the cat acts like it's not a good time and your bothering them , a dog goes berserk and acts like it hasn't seen you in years .

Thank You. Your right it's never easy. It's been 10 days and being the big lug that I am I can't get over him. We have 5 cats still but he was very special to me! More Dog than Cat. Followed me everywhere hence the name Shadow. We made his last few weeks as comfortable as possible. He spent his last day out on the lanai (his favorite place) watching the sunset. He tried to get up and could not so we knew the time had come.

Me and my Buddy chillin out this past summer!

That makes me so sad; Shadow looks so much like Tuxie!

I love both cats and dogs for different reasons; which mirror your thoughts.

Cats are challenging; you sometimes really need to work at receiving their love. That's what I like about them.

I'm very much missing our little Toots after saying good-bye in April. We are currently looking after a neighbour's senior kitty while they move and get organized. She's been with us 6 days and returns to her owners tomorrow.

I've grown very attached; it'll be difficult saying good-bye but at least she's been happy and comfy while staying with us.

...getting choked up just thinking about it.

That's true, cats only give affection on *their* schedule -- but they do give it, and expect it in return, too! :D Ours is very typical -- call her, and she may or may not even look at you, or if she does, she seems to be thinking "You talkin' to ME?" But when I'm sitting here at my desk, she'll come and walk back and forth under my legs and the chair, so I can pet one side and then the other; then she'll pop up beside me, her paws on the armrest, and I know she'll accept being picked up -- for a few moments, then she's struggling to get away. Not a lap kitty AT ALL! But she's still fairly young, not 5 yet, and every evening goes tearing thru the house, back and forth between the garage and back bedroom, "chase me! chase me!" then she'll flop down beside my desk, panting like a dog. :D When we come in after being gone all day, at first she runs behind the entertainment center -- total 'fraidy cat -- but then she'll join us in the kitchen, demanding treats. :D Yesterday I had a little snooze on the couch, and she jumped up and curled up behind my knees. :D

I have 8 rats, they have such a bad name but they are lovely, intelligent and very clean, so many myths about them.
I take them around the village on my shoulder, one at a time of course. They are quite the celeb in my town, they we also published on zooplus as pet of the week. My cage is from floor to ceiling in the back room.
All pets are wonderful really.

Agreed. We've had Dogs, Cats, Parrots, Hamsters, Fish, Parakeets, Iguanas and Snakes. Any animal is fine with me! They are a hundred times better than "most" people!! :D

They do look alike except Shadow had a smaller white patch. Most people don't like to adopt Black Cats. Let me tell you they don't know what they're missing. For some reason they seem to be more affectionate than most. At least that's what I've experienced. Out of the 5 we have left 3 are Black.

I've always admired tuxedo cats. At the old house where we lived before we bought this one, there was a tuxedo cat on one of the streets leading to ours, and I always admired seeing it out in the yard. I strongly suspect that Tuxie is one of that kitty's offspring, mixed with a tabby; in bright sunlight you can see the tabby stripes on Tuxie, black on black like a leopard. But it tells me that the owners of that tuxedo cat are really mean, to have abandoned at least 2 very young kittens -- shortly after Tuxie turned up in our carport, another black & white stray turned up, exactly the same size, just with slightly different markings -- his face was black-masked, rather than full black with white whiskers. When we moved, we took him to the county animal shelter, because other neighbors on that street had a terrible tendency to poison strays. :-x Just because cats made their stupid dog bark!

Maybe loved black cats know about the human prejudice against them. They know what kind of human servants they didn't end up with, and appreciate that.

OH-- I slid over the sentence just previous to that.

Wow, for something that many refer to as a "common rodent" thats really living , i know of no rats that live in a kingdom like that .

Always was a big fan and had a pet rat myself when i was a child , loved it to death until it decided to chomp down on one of my fingers , probably my fault .

I will when I take one out with me, they are way to active at this time of night to do it now though. They are all enjoying some ice-cream atm.

And, to keep this thread vape friendly, watch a funny show, vape, watch another funny show, vape, take a jog, vape, hug your daughter, vape, vape and more vape.

And...maybe...consider trying some WTA...

My Experience With Wta

Whole Tobacco Alkaloid WTA Eliquid Ejuice

I think my iPV Mini is probably my favorite. So, it's probably my current favorite

I have a VTC mini but choose to use my Kbox Mini all the time.

Although I'm half a year past 70...I find I still have to constantly remind myself that "There are people in the world who are different than you"...

I PIF'd my "gargantuan" iPV Mini when my first iStick-30 arrived.

And...my Kbox Mini with its SMALL uncomfortable fire button gets much less use than my VTC Mini with its LARGE luxurious fire button.

I'm about ready to give up on finding a CF4

Did you check these 41 sites?

Vapecrawler

I hate emptying bottles. Not because the bottle itself gets empty, but because I have to empty the last part of the tank so I can rewick for new taste..

I'm getting good at recognizing sophisticated vapers on ECF.

Me...when I'm filling a tank and the bottle runs out...I just open the next flavor I'm going to try and fill the rest of the tank with it.

(Can get some interesting flavor combinations that way.)

And I don't really even know what "rewicking" is...:glug:
