Sorry for running off at the mouth...

I just tried my PT2 on my CF4 and unless I'm imagining things, I'm getting better vapor production than with the nauti mini. PT2 has 2.2 ohm coil, nauti mini is 1.8 ohm. CF4 set at 6.0 watts...

Maybe I'm not awake yet :)

Ohhhh - good to know. I wondered about that so I'm using the micro USB that came with the CF4 and my joyetech wall adapter. Good?

That should be fine, Jus. Do check your manual for recommended charging current (amps, mAs, whatever it says.)

I use a wall wart that can deliver 2 amps (2000 mA) for all my similar USB charged gear, with no problems. The charger - which is built into the CF4 - will only "take" as much as it wants/needs. If the wall adapter can only deliver, say, 500 mA (typical of many) and the CF4 is looking for 1000, it will still work, but take much longer to charge. If the CF4 "wants" 1000 and your adapter can deliver UP TO 2000, the CF4 is still only going to take what it needs.

You can recharge as often as you want. Doesn't have to be down to yellow or red. (My other model Innokins vary at yellow - one only gives me a half dozen draws once yellow until red... others go quite a bit longer before red. Not a problem, just something to be aware of on how your particular unit behaves.) Charging BEFORE depleted may actually be beneficial to life.

Don't have a mini nauti, but perhaps there's a big difference in air flow between them?

Thanks sorrynomore, I welcome any and all advice :) (it's my first mod)

With my ego ONES, I've never let them run down all the way...halfway, then charge 'em up. No real reason, just kind of never want to be without I s'pose.

Any particular reason for breaking in a new battery gently?

Some say to do,some say it does not matter,I've always just eased a new battery into use and after a few light discharges and charges I cycle them with my other batts.

Something to read from Battery university .... (I don't know if I can post links) see below.

My usual practice with a new battery, internal or external, is to just charge it when I get it, so I know I'm doing my initial run with it fully charged. Just easier for me to estimate the vape time. (If it's internal, yeah, I'll probably power it up and test it a bit first, so I know it's working right.)

From your link, Sorrynomore, emphasis mine:

Lithium-ion is a very clean system that should not need additional priming once it leaves the factory, nor does it require the level of maintenance that nickel-based batteries do. Additional formatting makes little difference because the maximum capacity is available right from the beginning, (the exception may be a small capacity gain after a long storage). Nor does a full discharge improve the capacity once the battery has faded – a low capacity signals the end of life. A discharge/charge may only be beneficial to calibrate a “digital” battery; it does nothing to improve the “chemical battery.” (See BU-601: Inner Working of a Smart Battery.) Instructions recommending charging a new Li-ion for eight hours do not cause harm but this is “old school,” a left-over from the old nickel battery days.

You're pushing more volts w/the PT2 because it is a higher ohm coil. (3.6 for the PT2 only 3.2 for the mini Nauty) Push the mini Nauty wattage up to 7.2 watts for the same voltage and see if the vape improves.

Or if you like the vape you are getting, click the button 3 times to move into voltage mode, and set it for 3.6 volts. That way you will get the same voltage on all of your tanks.

All that said, I start at 6 watts and keep raising the wattage until I find the vape I like with each tank and each juice. (Maybe it's me, but some juices taste better at different heat levels). So start at 6 watts and keep going up until you find the vape that you like.

My experience as well, Pokemom. So I don't think it unusual that different flavors have their own heat levels. I find fruit and dessert types don't do well at higher power levels, while tobacco and other "heavy" flavors need that to shine.

Yes,and if you google breaking in lithium battery a lot of people do and alot don't.I posted the link so one can make up their own mind.I've just babied mine at first.

Okay T-Puffers,

Just came home with my brand new CF4! It's my first mod so I'm super excited and nervous...a wee bit of a learning curve :)

I read somewhere that even straight out of the box, the unit should charge for about 4 hours. Is that right? The battery display looks to be telling me it's fully charged. Huh?

When I first turned it on (bottom button) and then pressed the button 3x I noticed the fire button light came on (very briefly) and it was green.

Also treated myself to a new tank - a nauti mini. Yep, I'm pullin' out all the stops ;)

So I guess what I'm asking is should I be charging it even though the battery display/picture looks like it's fully charged?

I hope I won't need to ask a kazillion more questions!

Thanks loads!
I have one and just unplug when it looks full. Wish I would've brought it with me. I'm in San Antonio and decided to stay another day so I'm hoping my batteries and juice will last

I run PT2s and Nauti/Nauti Mini. I like the Nauti (1.6 or 1.8 coil) around 11-12W and the PT2 (home-brewed 1.5-1.7 coils) at about 10W. I have a separate airflow base for the PT2, and I run both wide open.

Happy Valentines Day!

That IS pretty far away. Well, if you get desperate, I'm over by 410 and Broadway. Just PM me if you need anything. We can meet somewhere in the middle if you want.
You're too sweet! I think I have enough. I'll be heading home early tomorrow morning. Next time I come here we can meet up. I lived in SAN Antonio for years and visit friends whenever I get the chance
