On the topic of Subtank Minis and I don't know if this has been done before but it's something I tried and like...
I'd heard you could use pro
tank coils in the stms, tried it and it works. So I took it one step further.I got an old pro
tank coil and removed the silicone grommet from the bottom (the one that holds the positve pin in place).
I then took the rebuildable deck of the subtank mini and carefully placed the grommet down into the air tube (right below where the coil goes).I pushed it down just a little bit about a sixteenth inch below the top of the air tube.I then made a coil and installed. Now it vapes pretty much like a pro
tank and you have a rebuidable head to boot.I've always found the subtank mini too airy for my tastes and this works a treat for me.
Edited to add : I did the above with the v1 rebuildable head.
I don't think it'd work for a very high wattage as you may melt the silicone.
I tried this with a Eleaf Lemo with different silicone tubing and the result was alot less spectacular but did work.I think it's because the chimney from the evaporation chamber to the driptip is too wide.I'm now looking for something to reduce that as well.
