I believe trump will say its up to the FDA head and not him, so he can dodge the issue.
States are now jumping on board too, so states passing laws will over rule anything that is done on the national level. The only sane one I've heard is the mayor of boston, Marty Walsh.
He said he is cracking down and enforcing the existing laws against underage sales.
He wants flavors to be sold in adults only vape shops and package stores, somewhere that children can't stroll in and purchase. He also wants to include menthol cigarettes and any other flavored tobacco product under this control. He is saying he'll limit convenience stores and gas stations to tobacco cigarettes and tobacco ecigs to help keep it away from underage purchases. The minimum age in boston is now 21. I don't agree with singling out flavors, but it appears they all feel like they have to do something now that the scare is out there enough to effect votes. The media frenzy to blanket the issue as "
vaping" and not as
vaping tainted illegal substances really took its toll.
