Oh no! The gray market may turn into a vaping black market. In that hypothetical, costs may actually go down (hypothetically speaking) and so I'd find my dealer(s) and proceed accordingly. If hypothetically, it turned into a heavily regulated and heavily taxed market, I'd hypothetically quit cold turkey and hypothetically have no problems doing so. Ya know, since I actually did quit smoking cold turkey once in my adult life for 8.5 years.

I tried cutting my nic one time, and the flavor was yuck! That's the project I need to work on. To learn to DIY good tasting juice without nic or with very low nic. Any advice, Myrany?

In the meantime, I have about 4 years of nic (based on 18mg/ml juice), RBAs (which I'm not very good at yet), and lots of mods (including a couple of mechs).

For me it was not the flavor getting yucky that stayed the same. It the lack of TH that took me awhile to work around. Some juices I just learned to live with little to no TH. Others I build my RDA coil to give me the TH the juice lacks.

you want throat hit in your juice try adding some very very diluted pepper concentrate.

To clarify my earlier post: For me it's not so much that I feel like it would be that difficult to lay down the PV and quit the nicotine. I'm just a very contrary person in general.

I figure I'll just run around panicking and screaming with my arms flailing until someone slaps me.

This is hypothetical since I do not expect nicotine or hardware to become illegal. I do expect nicotine to become more regulated, more expensive via taxes, maybe a ban on internet sales, maybe a limit to the strength an individual can purchase without a license....

With wire and wick, I can keep my current stock of clearos and rebuildable dripers going for years, at least until the silicon rubber bits fail....
I already vape 0mg nic, so I can't imagine what else they could ban,,,,,,,,,,,you can't ban batteries,,,,,,,,you can't ban flavoring or PG and VG,,,,,,

I'm set.
Remember gang,

Wick, wire, pg, vg, batteries, and flavorings will never be banned. They are used in other applications.
All of the above. I don't want nicotine juices to become too difficult/expensive for future potential vapers to acquire, but there's absolutely no need to panic regarding hardware or the majority of juice ingredients. Our uses for the hardware and most juice ingredients are already "off label" as the pharmacists would say. They have to stay legal and accessible for their other uses.

God, it's deja-vu all over again. The board was flooded with these threads back in 09 when the FDA tried to ban vaping the first time around. We're in much better shape this time around since we have RBAs now. The only thing they can ban or regulate the crap out of is nic. Lay in a stock of that and you're golden. If you don't know anything about modding, you may want to check out the sub forum on here.

Hope your right but I wasn't vaping when FDA was messin w/this in 09 but this looks pretty serious. Did it look that serious back then? And for us that are newer and not as mechanically inclined, this just bites the big u kno what!

I have zero stock pile of nic and just got my first mod today..I'm not a happy camper w/the FDA screwing around with vaping. Everyone is stating to mass mail Senators, Congressmen or what have you , maybe we should flood the FDA w/emails...I'd love to give them a pieces of my mind..

I'm just wondering if it's even possible to ban ecigs. Seems kind of like prohibition, as with a water distiller, yeast, sugar and water, anybody can make their own.

Ok, so we have ejuice, without it ecigs turn into paperweights. But PG/VG can't be made illegal, so we should be able to DIY in case the sale of eliquid is banned. Or heck, I doubt they can prevent sellers from selling flavored PG/VG without nicotine, likely sold as potpourri or something and makes claims that it is not intended to be used with a ecig. Although if they make getting nicotine impossible to get, then that would pretty much stop all eliquid. But I am not sure how plausible that would be, perhaps banning nicotine would be as likely as them being able to ban pure PG/VG or flavorings. In which case, just order the items separately and mix.

Now the ecigs themselves, the delivery systems. Not sure how they can possibly ban these, they are just pieces of hardware that contain wicks and nichrome wire. And unless they make wicks and nichrome wire illegal, then they should be able to continue selling them. The sellers just can't say it is supposed to be used with eliquid. Maybe they can say they are supposed to be used with unflavored PG/VG to create a personal fog machine. :vapor:

And heck, I think there is already some ecigs out there that are rebuildable with nichrome wire, so you can be entirely self-sufficient with just a healthy supply of wire.

I dunno, seems to me ecigs aren't going to go anywhere, even if they are outright banned. Vendors will have to change their wording and possibly take advantage a few legal loopholes, but I just can't see how they can make ecigs go away. If anything, the ban would only really hurt B&M stores, but internet sales would boom even more.

Been through that scenario : Key is the nicotine. Ban e-cigs. Fine. Wait 48 hrs max and youtube will be crawling with how-to clips of - well - vapor emitting micro devices.... Batteries - nice try. Clip a LED ontop of an ego-battery and Chinese will be selling truckloads of flashlights. PG and VG . The percentage that's used to make liquids is negligible compared to global production of these two chemicals.
Flavours. If you think trying to f... with Big Tobacco, try to take on Big Food...Smoking/Vaping is a matterof choice - eating isn't...

So flavours will always be available - half the processed food would be well_nigh impalatable without a good dose af artificial flavours...
Leaves the nic base. Stored in a deep freezer in airtight brownglass bottles it'll keep for decades...
