I had read that the proposed law for Tennessee (and I believe a few other states) is to make using ejuice a felony per each day you violate. I don't see that becoming law, but it's a scary thought.
It doesn't seem likely, but it's insane, and folks in TN should definitely contact all their representatives.

I will just quite. I have whipped the stinkies. I can walk away from the nicotine if need be. I will take my money and purchase more items that I started collecting in the 90s and have those handy when needed if the REAL apocolypse happens.

I enjoy vaping, it is relaxing to me, but like you, I think I could vape zero nic at this point, and still enjoy vaping quite a bit. I like the blowing of clouds, the hand to mouth behavior, etc.

When I was smoking and quitting smoking before vaping was available, I noticed the nicotine addiciton part was OVER in 10 days. Science supports that.

I was a psychologically addicted smoker, so I went back to smoking a few times even after being quit for 5 years, 3 years, etc. several times.

Vaping is perfect for me.

I figure I'll just run around panicking and screaming with my arms flailing until someone slaps me.

Consider yourself slapped, now get with the program. :)

Does anybody else think it is odd that vaping is under fire while cigarettes contain thousands of chemicals and 60+ known carcinogens yet there's no talk of banning them or even making them safer?

They aren't going to BAN e cigs. They probably WILL try to regulate them and they might, indeed, ban the sale of FLAVORED e cigs like they've been trying to do with regular cigarettes and cigars. They will likely insist on e liquid producers getting licensed and require outrageous lab conditions in order to get those licenses. Again, only the flavored liquids with nicotine in them will probably be banned (because of the CHIIIIILDREN, don'cha know).

It will be difficult to obtain the nicotine itself. THAT is the big issue for most of us. We can easily learn to make our own for personal use but if they start requiring special licensing in order to PURCHASE it, well....

They cannot stop us from obtaining the PG/VG/flavorings and they can't keep us from getting the equipment. It's just foodstuffs and hardware.

If Big Tobacco fights hard enough for flavors we might be able to keep those in juices with nicotine. That said, BT has no qualms about doing everything it can to put the small businesspeople out of business.

At any rate, contact your local and federal representatives and let them know how you feel and how it would affect you personally. Keep educating people around you about vaping and the positive aspects of it.

That and pay attention is all you can really do.

Well, that and run around with your arms flailing about. Which is sort of fun and great cardio.

Sometimes I want to slap myself for ever having smoked. God the tyrants I supported and the harm I did to myself and those around me. Can not believe I did that. But yah if they do I still say via la Canada.

I have PG and VG, neither of which can be made illegal, and flavorings for DIY; these are food flavorings and will also be legal. I can't believe that mods and such will be made illegal, either. (Cig a likes? Could be, if the powers that be can't figure out a way to tax them.) There are really two approaches: stockpile, and join CASAA and raise Hell with your politicians! I'm doing both.

There is NO apocalypse, do you honestly think politicians want to ban a new source of revenue?

They'll tax it no doubt, but ban? They'd be shooting themselves in the foot.

{MODERATED} That said, they HAVE been working to ban flavored tobaccos in cigarettes, even menthol.

Do I think they'll ban our stuff? No. Do I think they'll make nicotine for mixing harder to get and possibly shut down the small vape liquid businesses? Possibly. They can conceivably pile on restrictions as to make it so difficult for the average user to obtain it that it might as well be impossible.
