VapeFly Kriemhilde 2 - Is it better than the original?

The VapeFly Kriemhilde 2 is the successor to the very popular Kriemhilde stock coiler that was released with the main kit back in 2020. The question is, is it a worthy successor to the original?

Old timer looking for rebuildable advice

I have been out of the loop for many years. I used an ecig to quit smoking, and then stopped vaping, but my wife is still vaping. I don't see her stopping anytime real soon.

So I am looking for rebuildable device for her that I could buy a handful of before the shipping ban goes in effect, and then just keep rebuilding. Only main concern is that it has to work on an old school 501 threads, low voltage device. She has been using "vamo" devices for years and we actually have probably 50 of them from a store that went out of business a few years ago. So no sub-ohm devices or anything like that. Thanks,

Review:

First thing that came up to me when holding this device in my hand was its weight, it’s a heavy one for a single battery mod weighing 245grams, most heavy 21700-mod I have used so far. Its solidness is what makes up for the weight, it feels solid and properly machined. The entire body is made from Zinc alloy, and the form factor and edges are laying very well in the hand. The shape of the device looking at it from the bottom reminds me of Batman.

There are nine color options to choose from, there is three Gunmetal, Silver or Black framed ones which then again have three different panel options. I am happy to have received the Black/Walnut Wood color, it looks very nice. But there is plenty of other nice color options available, from what I understand the panel is real wood, same as carbon fiber panels are real carbon fiber.

Only branding on the face of the device can be found on the side of the 510-plate. It says Lost Vape on one side and Grus on the other side. Best thing about the 510-plate is its size, with 30mm in diameter it has no overhang-issues unless you are into massive rebuildable.

A nice and round fire-button that clicks nicely and reacts well, and DNA styled up/down and a selection button in the middle. All buttons feel properly inserted and react well to any click; they also do not rattle. Under the navigation buttons a USB-C port can be found, nice it is USB-C even though I rarely use it on an external battery mod.

On the bottom you will find the text ‘Designed and manufactured by Lost Vape Ltd’ and the battery cap. Really like they went with a battery cap, they are more solid. This one is also nicely machined and screws on and off nicely. The ‘lip’ makes it easy to grab onto the door. Also, the battery cap is thick making sure it is properly closed. Inside the battery compartment you will find a + marking helping you with the battery orientation.

On the front of the device you will find a nice and large 0.96 inch screen. When turned on you will find all details such as battery-level, resistance, puff-timer, puff-counter, and the current power setting. This device does not have any side menu’s which is kind of a pity, especially considering it has 3 navigation buttons.

What you can do with this device:

- 5x fire-button = power on/off
- Middle navigation button = activate scrolling through different modes (TC, VW, VV)
- Middle navigation button + down = reset puff-counter
- Middle navigation button + up = lock/unlock the device (can still fire)
- Hold middle navigation button for 2s = change theme color (6 options)

In TC mode there is no way to adjust the wattage, the device automatically sets the wattage depending on the resistance. Also, nowhere on the screen you can see what the device sets the wattage to, so you just need to fire and see if it fits your power output. In my opinion it should be possible to adjust wattage in TC mode, especially for a device which a screen of its size. Conclusion; not a good device for TC.

Apart from that the regular wattage and voltage work well and the device fires up quickly. I do like the fact that the device scrolls in 0.1W increments, comes in handy for MTL fine-tuning. This device scrolls extremely fast, maybe even too fast sometimes. It does round robin back to 5W ones you reach the maximum 100W output.

Conclusion:

A solid, well-performing 21700 box-mod. Not the lightest, but it gives that proper hold and feeling in the hand. Looking at the navigation buttons, it would not surprise me if a DNA version will come out one day. The navigation buttons for the current chipset feel too overpowered, as there is not much you can do with this device really, there is no side-menu’s.

What does make this mod attractive is it looks and very important its price, looking around at the web I can tell you that for the price you pay you simply get a very proper mod. Good news is that I have a discount code for you that allows you to get this mod for just $26.99, that in my opinion is very cheap for a mod. Discount code is LVG and the Grus can be found here: Lost Vape Grus Mod 100W TC Box Mod

Thanks a lot for taking your time to read, let me know if you have any questions.

Take care,

Sjoerd

Trouble with Vapesourcing

Hello! I recently ordered three vape watches from vapesourcing for myself and my coworkers for educational purposes. I placed the order 18 days ago, and while I did get a confirmation email, I cannot track the package and have heard nothing further. I have tried repeatedly to email the supplier with no success, they just do not answer. I am told @Verashu has be able to help before but I am having trouble getting in touch. any ideas?

I am new to posting in forums, so I am not sure how these work.

Hi

I'm a 52 y/o man who has just been diagnosed with a blood clot in my leg. I've smoked since I was 11 years old. I have not smoked for a week now. My query is that I am on blood thinners (tinzaparin) and am due a follow up echo as urgent outpatient. Is it safe for me to vape? Sorry for the long winded questions I'm just very scared. Thank you.

best e liquid for non smokers

I'm a non smoker and I know nothing about vapes and recently I bought a device and 30 ml bottle of juice with a percentage of 30 milligram of nicotine..is it too much nicotine ?
I didn't know there were 3 and 6 milligrams bottles because I got a misleading advice from a smoker who though I'm a smoker too.
I put in in a 5 watt power so I'm not really inhaling a lot but I just wanted to know if it's too much and if I should immediately stop using it or not

Time to buy a new pair, or is there a fix?

I have an Aegis Legend Mod, I've had it for a year and don't use it a lot apart from when I'm gardening, working on the car or the house's outside.

I'm a Tootle Puffer running 1.6 ohm tanks at 8 watts.

I bought a new pair of batteries when I got this setup and have only used the pair together and charged them at the same time.

The Aegis is now showing one being used more quickly than the other, is there a way to fix this or do I just buy a new pair?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Health Cabin meets FDA?

I ordered some parts, no liquids from Health Cabin. They shipped promptly and I've been expecting delivery in a week or so but I just received the following in a text from FedEx:

"FedEx: fedex.com/t/(tracking number)/en_US has been clearance delayed. Reason: Goods are subject to review by Food/Drug Agency prior to clearance.. Action: No action required at this time.. Reply HELP for help. STOP to cancel."

Has anyone else gotten this kind of message? If so, did you receive the merchandise?

Vape Crisis ;-)

So, I've been vaping since 2011. For the last half decade or so, I've been vaping exclusively Jon Wayne by Uncle Junks, which of course is no longer available. (I have found it here and there but can't order direct anymore obviously).

So, trying to find a new vape. I swear. EVERYTHING tastes like soap/perfume or flowers or, oddly.... bubblegum. EVERYTHING.

Today I've been vaping plain old no flavor PG/VG and I might end up being a convert to that if I can't find something else.

I don't mind making my own, but have no idea which flavorings have soapy/perfumy flavors that I detest.

Help? ;-)

OUMIER WASP NANO MTL RTA - Review

Hi ECF members, In this review i take a look at the WASP NANO MTL RTA from Oumier. The OUMIER WASP NANO MTL RTA was supplied for the purpose of this review by Ella from Sourcemore.

https://www.sourcemore.com/oumier-wasp-n...l-rta.html

Introduction

When it comes to budget atomizers that still give excellent performance you need look no further than Oumier who have consistently raised the question if they can do it for that price why can't others?

They are best known for the WASP which comes in numerous renditions and here we have the Wasp Nano MTL RTA which i am late to the party with but never turn down the opportunity to test anything from Oumier!

The Wasp Nano MTL RTA has dual bottom airflow slots adjusting over a series of airflow holes feeding side airflow outlets which wrap air around your coil, easy build deck and a choice between a transparent PCTG Chamber or pre-installed Stainless Steel one. Coming in a choice of 3 different colour options, let's check this little 22mm MTL RTA out!

___________________________________________________________________

In The Box

Contents:

1 x Wasp Nano MTL
4 x Coils
2 x Slotted Set Screws
3 x Transparent Silicon ring
1 x Spare Top-cap/Drip tip
1 x PCTG fill plate/Chamber
1 x Bubble Glass
1 x T-shaped Screwdriver
1 x Cotton
1 x User Manual

___________________________________________________________________

Aesthetics

The Wasp Nano MTL RTA came in small cardboard box packaging with an outer cardboard sleeve and on opening we have the completed RTA with straight glass presented one side and an assembled bubble glass with PCTG Chamber and fill plate and spare top-cap/drip tip the other.

I received the Black version, the options are Stainless Steel, Black or Gold. Up top we have a PCTG stepped top-cap with an integrated drip-tip. Through the glass we can see the Wasp logo on the chamber and on the base we have the dual slotted AFC with Wasp logo's carved both front and back.

Moving to the base we have printed branding and safety stamps with a Gold plated 510 which protrudes nicely. The overall size is small and quite cute looking even when swapping out for the bubble glass!

___________________________________________________________________

Wasp Nano MTL RTA Specs and Features:

Size: 22mm x 40.9mm
Capacity: 2ml/1.2ml
Coil: Single Coil
Material: 304 Stainless Steel & PCTG
22mm diameter with 2ml capacity
Straight and bubble tube included
Deck for easy single coil building
Top-cap with integrated drip tip
Top-fill
Adjustable bottom dual airflow holes
Thread: 510
Colours: Stainless Steel, Black, Gold

___________________________________________________________________

What You Receive?

As well as the completed RTA you also receive an already assembled bubble glass, PCTG chamber and spare top-cap/drip tip section. You also receive a bag of spares which includes spare (Green O-rings), grub screws and a T-piece tool.

You receive the manual full of diagrams and a bag with 4 cotton strips and 4 Kanthal micro coils which have obviously been incorrectly named in the specs as 0.2ohm coils which they clearly are not!

___________________________________________________________________

It's Various Parts!

Up top we have a PCTG top-cap with integrated drip tip so if you don't like it you are stuck with it, a spare top-cap/drip tip section is included but it's identical. The top-cap screws on via the chimney threading and has an O-ring to it's perimeter to seal. Removing the top-cap reveals 3 good sized fill ports which appear to be almost right on top of the chamber but i had no issues with filling quickly.

The straight glass holds a disappointing 1.2ml of e-liquid although the bubble glass does increase capacity but still only to 2ml.

The glass both secures and seals to an O-ring to the underside of the fill plate. We then have the fill plate, chimney and chamber section which is Stainless Steel with the pre-assembled tank but also included is a lightweight semi-transparent alternative. The base section includes a raised deck which has the familiar Wasp post design. The AFC moves with a nice tolerance and has stoppers but as far as i can tell can't be removed.

___________________________________________________________________

The PCTG Spare Section

As mentioned as well as the RTA coming complete with a metal chamber section and straight glass we get a second assembly comprising of everything accept the base section which gives a bubble glass and PCTG chamber/fill plate option.

This gives you a spare top-cap/drip tip section just in case the acrylic threading wears and the chamber/fill section which will make a quite light RTA even lighter. For me though the PCTG chamber section is too thin and although i am not a materials expert i would have no confidence with the durability where heat is involved!

One thing i did do though which i expect pretty much everyone will do is swapped the straight glass with useless 1.2ml capacity to the still low capacity 2ml bubble glass!

___________________________________________________________________

The Airflow

This has a weird airflow design for MTL which instead of having varying sized holes one side to choose from it has a series of five 2mm holes ether side then dual slots on the AFC to have one, two, up to 5 holes open either side much more akin to a RDL design. The restriction is then helped by having narrow channels that lead to the airflow outlets on the posts.

So the air comes in through the inlets but instead of travelling underneath the deck and out an airflow outlet directly underneath your coil it travels from both sides up through the posts and out through 3 airflow outlets on each post giving side rather than bottom airflow!

___________________________________________________________________

The Build

The Wasp Nano MTL RTA has the usual raised deck with side wicking channels and side terminals on the posts. We have two large posts facing each other and diagonal to each other side terminal openings with screws fastening from above so acting as clamps!

I was going to use one of the supplied micro coils but i don't know whether it's just that long ago since using such thin wire but when trying to thread the cotton through i mangled the coil and didn't even get that far with my second attempt so gave up and instead used a MTL Alien Hybrid prototype i am testing which is an NI80/SS coil at 0.6ohms!

Your leads just get slotted in from the sides and the terminals curve downwards so your leads don't pop out while securing! You then can use a coiling rod or fit for purpose tool to adjust the position of your coil, i would recommend lining it up so the airflow outlets are lined up with the lower sides of the coil! I then snipped my leads and checked the leads where still secured tight before pulsing on a low wattage strumming any hotspots out!

Wicking is just a case of feeding your cotton through and cutting level to the outside threading of the deck, ignore the photo i did trim more before applying e-quid. Because the deck has side wicking channels with no rail you need to apply e-liquid to help place the cotton in the channels. Once the cotton is in the channels add more liquid and give it a few pulses to admire your work!!!!, screw the tank together and fill!

___________________________________________________________________

How It Vapes? And Thoughts!

Straight off i am not a fan of either the alternative PCTG chamber section which feels so flimsy or that the drip tip is integrated, it's not uncomfortable but i would prefer to be able to fit my own! Also although i was surprised this did go down to a medium tight MTL draw with one hole open each side and gives up to a loose MTL/RDL draw fully open trying to precisely dial in the draw you prefer between is a bit hit and miss with the design much more suited for a RDL set-up!

The build is easy though and wicking forgiving, i lined the coil up so the air from the airflow outlets hit the lower side of the coil to make sure it wrapped round underneath giving some bottom airflow and this resulted in getting excellent flavour, easily a match for the likes of the Berserker 2 which is much more expensive. The airflow isn't exactly silky smooth but then it's not over turbulent either giving a nice vape! The advantage of having the airflow outlets on the posts rather than directly underneath the coil means it makes it a leak resistant design and i have experienced no leaking whatsoever!

Although i didn't get on with the dental floss micro coils I still have to put receiving 4 plus 4 strips of cotton has a pro as is receiving the Bubble glass. After saying that the bubble glass really is needed as with the straight glass the capacity is a miserly 1.2ml and still only 2ml with the bubble glass fitted.

In conclusion, far from the best MTL RTA but does give excellent flavour, is an easy build and very reasonable price!

Yacht Vape Claymore RDA - ALL THE TOPCAPS!!!!

The Yacht Vape Claymore RDA is a rarity by itself considering there really hasn't been that many drippers released on to the market recently. What makes it even rarer is its one of those drippers built more for flavour than for high wattage cloud chucking.

Order status/order placements.

Hello!
I've been trying to reach out for about 4 days to vaping.com to see about an order/payment issue I had. I attempted to purchase 2 mods and a tank, and when I got to checkout, my bank declined the transaction as suspicious, I went ahead and tried the transaction again and I was denied staying my payment could not be processed. I was however still charged for the order, and did not receive a tracking number or order confirmation. I do want the products, just unsure if I actually have an order and how I would go about getting a refund if I don't. My email is moralesrjesse@gmail.com which I used to place the order.
Thank you!

Closed/Sold Augvape Druga Rta

I have a stainless steel Augvape Druga RTA for sale. It is a single coil. It comes with a straight glass on it a bubble glass spare some screws and some o-rings. In its original box.

Full disclosure I bought two Drugas the other day knowing I only really needed one but as they did not want to sell them separately I went ahead and got both hoping I would be able to sell the second one. So I'm technically the second owner but I did not use the one I'm selling though I did clean it and the individual before me took very good care of it and it was a recent purchase. They had issues with leaking. I used the dam method I believe it's called where you lay the wicking on top of the port with very little or none of it going through providing a barrier where it can wick but where there's no area of the hole that isn't covered. I have had no leaking whatsoever. I would be happy to check the other one as well to make sure it's the same.

Looking for $15 Plus $5 shipping first class w tracking. so $20 total via PayPal no mention of ecigs etc CONUS only, additional cost for any added fees insurance upgraded shipping etc

What is preheat mode - and how does it affect coil life?

Howdy friends of the clouds,

can anyone help with this?

I use a aspire skystar mod with freemax double mesh coils now again after a long time.

The skystar mod has a preheat option - just "soft", "normal" and "hard".

How do these differerent settings affect coils life? What is the benefit?

Much appreciated!

P.S. I am back to vaping from today, my parcel just arrived. Let's do something for our health. Will miss those cigs but...gootta be more responsible, I am almost 25 now. But why....anyway. I need a diary probably.
