Watching the "didn't make it to the big boys table" debate. Nothing new...

Currently watchin' da Rays ball game. I'll tune into da 'final round' debate at 'tick off'.

Saving da 'kids table' debate just in case 'Roboshark' is as advertised...

Watching the "didn't make it to the big boys table" debate. Nothing new so far, of course I missed the first hour watching the evening news.
Keep in mind that political speeches and campaigning are SPECIFICALLY exempt from truth in advertising laws.

First... A rain-drop-rose for the ladies:
rose%20in%20rain.jpg

It's been raining since about 5:30 darnit. But I got that fab picture of the rosebud with the drops of water.
Very nice.

Went out a bit ago to see if I would be able to go for a walk, but it's still gently sprinkling and I don't think I can make it tonight...
But, what is this?
Something is fluttering rapidly among my bluebells! Could that be a hummingbird? I didn't know hummingbirds liked bluebells. I didn't think hummingbirds were brown either. Getting too dark to see for sure.
Gotta get this on film so I can use the flash and see what I have here.
First few pictures and I missed it because it was darting around so quickly. Sipping at the flowers and ignoring the world.
One picture revealed where a couple of scrub lizards were trying for those last little insects... and seeming to be a bit wary of the fast flying thing.
bluebell%20nite00.jpg

Then a breakthrough... here it is on film! Well digital media anyway.

Either I've got a really great f-stop set on my camera, or this thing's wings are going waaaaay too slow because there is not a blur at all.

Cannot be a hummingbird, too late in the day for a butterfly.
None of the bats in the area sip nectar, they catch and eat bugs.

Cool little bugger isn't it?
bluebell%20nite02.jpg

Why, I do believe that it IS a hummingbird.
sort of.
I think it's a Hummingbird Moth. Also called a Sphinx Moth.

just built my first coil on the ehpro rta and it vapes great !!!

Way to go - we have at least 6 KFL's going between Janet and myself. They are a pretty dang good topper.

Only a couple of weeks before he died, Dad had just finished breakfast at the hospital when we arrived to visit him. His empty breakfast tray still sat on the rolling over-the-bed table. Dad caused us immediate concern when he said: "I really like the food here".

After a comedic pause, he added "what I like best is the portions are so small."

Nice! Nice line from your Dad. Got a good chuckle from it.

Great job (or great luck) getting pictures of that moth. .

But there ARE brown hummers. Google shows several. Specifically in Florida. But that's a moth.
ETA: Forgot to tell you that your photos are fantastic!

Today while cleaning up the kitchen, I broke my French Press. One thing I like is my coffee and this was disappointing. Off to Target. I actually made a decent find, a Mr. Coffee French Press with a milk frother. I don't care about frothing my milk, if I ever want to froth milk I will pull out the Cappuccino machine and steam it. Anyway, I made a bit of juice and decided to use the milk frother to stir it up a bit. Wow, this thing is amazing! I used a small glass beaker to mix it in and have it steeping in warm water. Has anyone else used one for mixing their juices? Did it cut down on steeping time?

The only thing I use for steeping is a clock, but I think I've heard of people using a frother. More powerful, I'm guessing, than those battery-operated miniature mixers that some people have used.

Haven't read everything yet and I'll be back later just wanted to let you know that Dr. Oz is going to do a segment on vaping caffeine using E-Cigs today at three if anyone is interested. Back I a while, busy day.
Wow......just don't like that idea really and sure this will not be good for vaping.

So glad you like it!!

If ya ever need to be in the hospital, and can eat well, go to UT southwest in Dallas. they have absolutely amazing food, order it when you want it, from a menu. My g/f said that the local culinary school uses their kitchens, so they cook for the hospital. Truly really good restaurant quality food.

If "Mama has a squeeze box" is that a Reo?
absolutely!!!

I've got a couple cups of coffee for me....anybody else want some? I'll share
wow, even better than you were describing, that is amazing!

Currently watchin' da Rays ball game. I'll tune into da 'final round' debate at 'tick off'.
lol went to bed about 10, the pirates/cubs game was on.......woke up at 2 am it was still on, but they'd both lost two runs! hehehe

Somebody please tell me to go on the hunt for what little good sense i thought I had...I can barely move right now!
rut-roh......sorry you're feeling rough......hope you're getting a good night's sleep!!

First... A rain-drop-rose for the ladies:
awwwwwww that's so sweet.......but what about Dennis? No rose for him??
Gorgeous photos!! First one I thought.....ken darlin......them's lizards not hummingbirds.... :) But wow, never heard of a hummingbird moth, good sleuthing (unless ya knew dat already).

Has anyone else used one for mixing their juices?
sorta......I'm one of the "some people" that dave referred to, who used one of those battery operated things they call a milk frother. Next time I just used a slotted spoon. Slotted spoon was easier, quicker and I think worked just as well. But I'm also not into jumping through hoops for steeping. It better taste good when I mix it, and just get better as time goes on.

I can't get a clock down in a 30 ml bottle of juice....
And the hands turn so slow, would take forever.

That's what the food was like when I was in the hospital. There was a menu and everything. The food was quite good.

Good mornin', all!
