Is that chicken or bread on the back side of the plate?
Believe it or not it was pureed chicken. He had pureed roast beef for supper which is probably just the chicken with brown food coloring.

I'm so glad it wasn't worse & happy to hear she's not too shaken up by it! Good for her!We got back around 11:15 last night. Doree is visiting her mom now. MIL is OK. Got a huge lump on her head and a few butterfly stitches. Her CT scan was clear and they say she doesn't have a concussion which is good news. Good thing we turned around though as there are a few legal matters that have to be taken care of in person concerning her Medicaid application. Looks like all of a sudden I own a time share in Fort Lauderdale. We won't ever use the actual rooms but, as owners we can use the facilities right on the beach all year round and by renting the week we own out we will make enough to pay the maintenance fees. Pretty cool cause if your familiar with Ft. Lauderdale there is absolutely no parking any where close to the beach. Time share has a great pool, tiki bar and is right on the beach. Looks like we'll be keeping it.![]()
Those first few meals after not eating for awhile are a little weird. Things taste funny. But then it's hospital food which is pretty flavorless. I lost 73lbs (happily) when I spent 2 months in the hospital several years ago. Anti-nausea meds caused a drop in appetite & made everything taste terrible. The only thing that had a good flavor was strawberry yogurt, but all they had was vanilla which tasted disgusting. Recovery is zero fun. The best part of the day was therapy.

Yes I knew he could swallow fine. I think being able to eat is going to help so much. He only ate half his breakfast but that is probably because I was not here to feed it to him. heehee![]()
You & Dad have a great day, Ratty!
The day started out for me in slo-mo but keeps on getting better. I got to the hospital and had front row parking. Three empty places so I got to back in. (for a quick get-a-way)
I wore a new shirt that my friend gave me. Thanks to my mom's love of bling, I am totally accessorized. She loved jewelry. I have never wore much or really cared for it. But I have been trying to wear some of it because it makes me feel like a little tangible piece of her is with me.Y'all would have loved her. Where do you think I got my attitude? She may have only been 4 foot something but she ruled the roost. (sorry, I know Dennis doesn't like chicken
references) bahahahahaha![]()
I forgot that red makes me a tad more aggressive but that's okay. I was walking up the steps (yes, I said steps) and looked down and noticed I have on pink toe nail polish. Sure wish I had wore closed toe shoes. This would not be a good day for anyone to bring to my attention that my toes do not match my shirt.![]()
Well, really just wanted to say "Hello" to all.U![]()
Ya know, the only thing worse than being in the hospital is having someone in the hospital. Ya wanna be there, they want you there, but you don't wanna be there at the same time. It's awful!
Just turned it on. Hope I haven't missed that part. Have to leave at 2 to take Mom to Dr.Haven't read everything yet and I'll be back later just wanted to let you know that Dr. Oz is going to do a segment on vaping caffeine using E-Cigs today at three if anyone is interested. Back I a while, busy day.
