I learned one thing yesterday - I still have a lot to learn. :)

It's locked in 'beginner' mode right now, so ~98' high and 98' away is the limit... went straight up from where I took off and had a look over the trees behind our house. Amazing. Slowly panned around 360. Amazing. came back straight down, buzzed around a little, and promptly ran into a shrub! DOH!

Everything's OK though... it's setup on the kitchen bar right now, I'm playing with the Go app.

And wouldn't ya know it?... the weather here is going to be terrible today and windy Thurs. and Fri... Saturday and Sunday look good though. That gives me three days to study up.
Awesome! Except for the bush. And the weather. But that's an excuse to loose your inner child & play with it in the house!

First, make sure there's enough in the bank account to replace the drone... and the house. These quads are ridiculously difficult to control in tight quarters.

Well, I just finished cleaning out my guts. Tomorrow I get scoped from one end to the other. Just about ready to start drinking gatorade, but some gurgles yet, now and then.
Hope it all went well and you're feeling good now.

So this is where the older folks hang out , cant recall iif i posted here in past.
Hiya Dieseler!!! Took ya long enough.......but no matter, yur here now! We can talk about anything here that ECF allows. If you haven't found it yet, we have a front porch also that we have to "try" to keep as much as we can about vaping.
Older Folks and Vaping Front Porch - Part 5
Mostly the same folks, but some visit only one porch or the other

Hey I found a calculator for your BMI for amputees. Mine comes out at 19.5 so I am on the low scale of normal but still in the normal range.
Glad it's still in normal range, but yeah like kenna said, keep drinkin those shakes! Hate they are so expensive, but you do well on them, and you are more than worth it!!

Da ol' 200 y.o. live oak 'gave up' right 'round New Years...
You aint been out there in awhile huh.......we called the tree doc, and with that and a lotta prayer, we were able to save that gorgeous tree!! Now y'all quit whizzin on it!!! :D

we have a knack for spendin' your money! Not really,
What she means is........really!

We were under severe storm warnings earlier and I am glad to say all of the storms were either North or East of my home in the OKC metro. Now it is just chilly and windy.
Glad it missed y'all. We didn't have the rain, but we do have the chilly and wind today. I had to turn the heater on for a few minutes when I got up just to take the chill outta the house.

Welcome Dieseler!
Don't let Diver pull your leg though, you haven't gotten all the appropriate warning, not by a long shot. Beware the crazy purple loving, frying pan swinging @Debadoo for instance. Though if she does whack ya, it's (usually) just a love tap. Ummm, think there might be a whoopie cushion hiding around here somewhere too. Can't quite remember who the keeper of it is though. I'm sure there's other warnings that have been left out too.
Do you gotta tell everything you know??? :p

Thank you for going to so much trouble for us. But, now I feel guilty for asking for a pic. It's a vicious circle, I tell ya!
No need for either of y'all to feel bad!

Here is the Purple Heart pen that I am sending to my Brother in law. The other 3 cases contain pens for my sisters and other BIL. Out of 4 cases, wouldn't ya know it, the Purple Heart was in the last case. I hope that the postal department doesn't x-ray the package and freak-out. I figure wrapping the pens in a paper towel and then putting them in the PVC should protect them during the mailing to Oregon.
That's gorgeous!! I LOVE purple heart! Those do look like they'd feel nice in the hand.

Love that great big back porch and all the land! Woopsy, glad it wasn't hurt by ending up in the bush. At least the weekend will be nice.

kewl!!

@Ken_A sorry to hear about the Afib with your dad. Hope the pneumonia clears quickly hun.

Was able to reschedule my sleep clinic follow up to today at 1:05 for the results of the sleep study. The other one conflicted with Ozzy's vet appt.

I got my puppies back today! they were at their other grandparent's for 2 days. I heard my dil drop them off this morning on her way to work, then soon heard Frankie sniffin under my door to get in. Let him in, he jumped on the bed and was a little weirded out. I got an air mattress yesterday. Sooooooo much more comfortable, but he wasn't sure what to think at first. But then he settled and we both went back to sleep for a bit. The other mattress was horribly uncomfortable and this one is sooooo much better. Just gotta make sure he doesn't poke holes in it with his claws. I might should put a blanket on it under the sheet or something.

Hope everyone is having a great day so far!

I hope you're even a small fraction as bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as you sound today!

Dogs and cats are longevity-robbing factors for air mattresses, which tend to die young even without the help. Water mattresses have the same allergies (to cats and dogs). I can verify these things through multiple experiences.

Thanks. :) Definitely think I slept a little better than I have in quite awhile. Jup, I know air mattresses don't usually hold up all that well. I've had several mattresses and air beds over the years. But they sure are nice while they do last. I know it would be far wiser to just keep him off of it, but I hate the thought of not having my bed buddy to snuggle with. I really need more coffee right now, but Ozzy is snuggled up with me on the couch, and gives me a severely disapproving glare each time I move and disturb his sleep!

Yep, replacing mattresses is expensive but replacing bed buddies is impossible.

How quickly I'd forgotten how much faster and easier it is to edit video when there's no attempt to do any color work! I'll eventually get faster at it, but meanwhile, I skipped the color grading and did a fast and sloppy editing of this morning's flight, which leaves more time to fly again, maybe, after a nap. :thumb: :

That F might be suppressing your appetite.

Well yesterday I had 2 eggs, 3 pieces of Spam, big slice of this grain and nut bread I like, for lunch I had a frozen dinner noodles alfredo that I like, for dinner I had a bbq'd boneless country style rib and a ton of green beans, an apple and 4 little graham crackers with cream cheese frosting in the middle, plus my 2 protein shakes. So my appetite is pretty good. That's way more then I was eating prior to the protein change.

the flying is great, but I just love your dancing! Always brings a smile to my face!

that's wonderful!! Yesterday I had part of a chicken breast, some squash, salad, smashed taters and cornbread. There wasn't much here to fix, so my son brought me a plate of what his mil had cooked for supper.

Wow I put in my order for this special protein I get and something called Ultra Meal which is also in the shake. I just placed it yesterday and chose the free fedex ground and it's out for delivery today. Pretty fast Huh? Another $175 but will last all month and it is making me feel better. was using the protein from Costco and while it is good for Ginny for me this is better but a change from $50 to $175. It's specially formulated by this doc for people with bariatric procedures to absorb much more quickly.

Sorry about the shrub. It wouldn't be any fun if there wasn't a lot to learn! Enjoy your Saturday and Sunday!

You should be there just about now. Let us know!

Glad you got Frankie back. Definitely put a good thick blanket between the air mattress and the sheet. I know from experience.

It looks like you're having lotsa fun! Made my day a little happier!
