Yeah me too. I tried eating a Manwich and I thought I was gonna die but it did the same to Ginny. I really haven't tried Spaghetti yet but I think that might be ok. Cooked onions don't seem to bother me but give me banned from the bedroom gas. Hey I found a calculator for your BMI for amputees. Mine comes out at 19.5 so I am on the low scale of normal but still in the normal range.
Keep drinking those shakes!

Ah ha, accordin' to da most recent alphabet soup agencies' compilations, includin' da revered ECF, noper, ya ain't been on dese porches under your currently registered identity. Day-um'd suspicious, I'd say!

Ya have no idea how often a faulty memory is used as a geriatric ploy/cover/excuse 'round here. But I'll be glad to tell ya how many times... hold on... just a min... don't rush me... it's right on da tip of my to...

Ah, da heck wid it, as long as ya don't bring dos dag burn fleas wid ya from under da porch, step on up, grab a sit down and visit a spell. Here, we got's lotsa time to swap lies and swat flies.

BTW, it's OK to put your feet up on da porch railing (pay no nevermind to da womenfolk's railings!); and, da boy's room is out back yonder behind dat big artificial holiday tree. Da ol' 200 y.o. live oak 'gave up' right 'round New Years...

Now dat I think 'bout it, I was stationed wid a Dressler back in... er... um... a while ago! One o' urine?

Oh, if it happens to get too cool fer ya, we got lotsa live oak firewood (once it 'airs' out) fer da hearth.

What a great picture! They're so cute!

Sensors!?!?... I hope there ain't no sensors here! I try to just quietly slip in and slip back out (while sneakin' Sally through the alley) :p

BTW, I have a coffee question (see below pleeese)

I've always been an off-the-shelf coffee person, Folgers Classic Roast Medium in the cheapest auto-on drip machine we can find when we need another... usually either a Black&Decker, or... a Mr. Cawfee ATM.

The Folgers has started to give me heartburn along about the end of the second cup... is it too acidic? I guess my aging gastrointestinal system is getting more sensitive?... I think need a smoother, budget-priced coffee, with emphasis on the 'budget'... any off-the-shelf suggestions? Either that or I need to try hot tea maybe?

I know this may sound like a stoopid question, but I know absolutely nothing about coffee except how to scoop it in, add water, and hit the ON or AUTO button.

Don't know how well this works with off the shelf coffee, but cold brewed coffee tends to be less acidic.

Definitely, cold brew is much smoother! You don't really need anything fancy to make it. Put water in a pitcher, dump in your coffee grounds and give it a stir and then let it sit overnight. In the morning, strain it however you like into a cup and drink if you like it cold or nuke if you like it hot. There's a lot of info about it if you google it. The amount of grounds you use varies depending on how strong you like it and what kind of coffee you use. It's easier to strain if you use a coarse grind. Otherwise you can end up with some sludge on the bottom.

Well I couldn't resist... took 'er up!

After playing with the Go app while everything finished charging, all checked out - so I put it on the pad in an open spot in the backyard and hit 'auto-takeoff' - and it did! Flew it left and right, back and forth a few minutes, and did a manual landing... right on the pad!

Wow...

Yay! Congratulations! So glad you're enjoying your new toy/tool so much!

Yes, that is the cold brew thingie I have. I use it sometimes, but it uses more coffee.

Yes, it does use more grounds, but maybe it's a matter of letting it brew longer?

With omeprazole (Prilosec) being discussed, I hope no one minds me posting this, from a drug info website:
Proton pump inhibitors (such as omeprazole) may increase your risk for bone fractures, especially with longer use, higher doses, and in older adults. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about ways to prevent bone loss/fracture, such as by taking calcium (such as calcium citrate) and vitamin D supplements.

Welcome to the group. It appears that others have given you all of the appropriate warnings, so I will just say hi and grab a good chair.

We were under severe storm warnings earlier and I am glad to say all of the storms were either North or East of my home in the OKC metro. Now it is just chilly and windy. When I got the storm warning, I was working in my workshop. This time I made a pen out of a piece of Purple Heart and used a black kit for it. I have to admit it turned out gorgeous. I will try to get a picture of it later.

Yes, please.

Very smart keeping a radio in your workshop. Especially in tornado alley. I have a picture somewhere of my grandmother's mother standing outside what was left of a house after a tornado (about 95 years ago).

    Welcome Dieseler!
Don't let Diver pull your leg though, you haven't gotten all the appropriate warning, not by a long shot. Beware the crazy purple loving, frying pan swinging @Debadoo for instance. Though if she does whack ya, it's (usually) just a love tap. Ummm, think there might be a whoopie cushion hiding around here somewhere too. Can't quite remember who the keeper of it is though. I'm sure there's other warnings that have been left out too.

I am at the cost of almost $200 a month.
But you lose weight when you stop using them. When you get to the weight you want to be you can cut back on them & just drink enough to maintain that weight. Right now you drink more because you are trying to gain. You drank them before & your weight was good. Then you stopped completely & started losing.
