I'm thinking I've heard bad things about these lately. Is it just the finish on the doors? I thought it was more substantial than that.If you are using a 22mm tank I'd recommend the Wismec RX75 for outstanding hand feel and compact size for a single 18650 mod. They tolerate rough use. The finish on the doors is the weak point but I like them stripped down to bare metal once they wear, although skins are available. I've had about 95000 puffs on my first one so far and thanks to clearances have gotten a few more for the long run. They're here for about $17 shipped - Wismec Reuleaux RX75 Temperature Control 75W Box Mod Powered by Single 18650 Battery with Upgradeable Firmware - Cvapor.com
Between these and ProVari 2.5's, the rest of my mod hoard is just for fun but not necessary.
The one complaint I've seen since the RX75 came out was that the mechanical door lock switch can get stuck or stop working. As it has a fire bar with a good amount of resistance, I've never used the lock and it's never fired in my pocket. When I want to turn it off it's just five clicks, so the switch seemed redundant to me anyway. Other than that it's been good in terms of battery life and consistent power until the battery runs down. Leaky toppers haven't caused the sprung 510 to cause any issues either. I use it in power mode so I can't judge it's TC worthiness. Not quite as smooth hitting as a ProVari or a DNA device but very close so no problem with choppiness, which I seem to have issues with in many cases.I'm thinking I've heard bad things about these lately. Those are really tempting, but I'm disinclined to buy gear unless it's either so cheap that I don't mind throwing in the trash when it dies (like the Aspire Breeze devices I bought recently) or I think I can use it indefinitely (all my other gear). At $65, the Orion doesn't fit the first category, and it doesn't fit the second either due to the internal battery and the question: How long will replacement pods be available? Here's a little review of the Orion if anyone is interestedFor a pod it works great. It acts more like a higher end regulated device in my opinion. It is very portable! With the air flow on low and on low power it gives a very decent MTL vape for me. The pods are supposed to last 14 days. If care is used to watch and make sure the cotton is saturated it works well on low for me. Opened up is very airy but still ok. I think using a higher PG works well, if high VG I would add a few drops of water for good juice flow. I'm using .50 pods. Anyway, not sorry I got it. It's a fun little thing

I got a feeling that it won't be long until the Chinese start cloning the Orion pods. How long will replacement pods be available?
Since it is a high end pod, that wouldn't surprise me.I got a feeling that it won't be long until the Chinese start cloning the Orion pods.![]()
Yes I think the price is high, not sure how long the batt will last. It was a splurge for me since I have not bought anything in 2 yrs LOLThose are really tempting, but I'm disinclined to buy gear unless it's either so cheap that I don't mind throwing in the trash when it dies (like the Aspire Breeze devices I bought recently) or I think I can use it indefinitely (all my other gear). Under normal circumstances the thought wouldn't have even crossed my mind but it seems to me like the zealots are pulling out all the unthinkable actions to save the cigarette industry. Vaping is actually doing what the anti-smoking crowd has claimed they wanted and they are still not satisfied. The zealots are making too much money to give up now or ever.A normal person would give you a number of reasons why that's unlikely. I agree with most of those reasons. But I have plenty of PG and VG put up in one liter glass bottles stashed in the back of a closet, just in case I'm wrong.![]()

I also have enough vg/pg in the closet to last me as long as I need it to last. Another case of better safe than sorry.
Sadly if online sales for vaping products get banned, the rest of the country will be in the same boat I found myself in a couple of years ago. My state banned online sales of e-liquid but lots of vendors took it one more step and refused to sell me anythingFortunately I had already gone to DIY e-liquid and because of all of y'all prompting me I stockpiled everything I actually needed.
Since this is the "Are you done stocking up thread" just a warning, if you aren't stocked up yet, now would be a very good time to get it done. Find something you like well enough to use from now on and stock up on it. If you don't already do it now would be a good time to start making your own e-liquid. Don't wait until you find yourself in my boat. Once the "powers that be" deemed this a tobacco product they opened the door to banning online sales just like they did for other tobacco products.
As always, just my humble opinion.
That sounds challenging. I'm not sure I can handle anything smaller than a Kayfun to rebuild LOL
So since making your morning coffee produces vapor and you feel this needs to be regulated too? Cooking your food creates vapor. Maybe we should outlaw cooking food period. Make it illegal to have any cooked food at all and all food must be eaten raw.Second, to most inhaling warmed chemicals is a cousin to smoking tobacco. Especially when it is done to introduce nicotine. To those who claim it is nowhere near the same just think of this; if inhaling it provides a chemical reaction other than what mother nature provides, the government bearucrats see potential revenue and the need for regulation.
