What I just hate is those after us will not have the same opportunity for THR.

That's terrible, but what bothers me more than that is people who are just now getting into vaping but can't stock up because they haven't really figured out what works for them.

It's hardest on the ones figuring out the crap's hitting the ventilation system. The new ones to vaping are troubling, but those that had their head in the sand, just tootle puffing along for years and now are crying for help because they can't find their favorite supplies don't get any tears. We've been here all along. The fault may be partially with the vape shops not informing their customers, but if you are into vaping, you should be doing your own research.

Harsh sounding, but it's hard to disagree. I saw the writing on the wall the day I first heard of an e-cigarette. "It's just vapor, it'll be fine, they can't do anything" illustrates a magnitude of ignorance that's hard to believe even exists. They just don't get the relationship between tobacco and governments. I mean the fact that there is an enforcement bureau dedicated to controlling it pretty much spells it out. BATFE

Obscure sourcing question: years ago I let my brother borrow my Nemesis Mech. It was always a little finnicky and the switch assembly would love to explode into pieces if you didn't constantly keep an eye on the screws. Long story short: it fell apart and my brother lost the little pin that fits underneath the bottom contact screw.

Any ideas where I can get another? I'd love to resurrect this mech "just in case" and "for reasons." I looked around online but didn't see any parts, just clones for sale.

    Thanks!

Do they show the innards of the clone? Maybe you could harvest the pin from it?

You probably should just get a clone and if you aren't handy with a soldering iron, get someone to change out the entire switch assembly. That way you won't have to worry any more about it exploding in your hands. It should be an easy fix for someone with the know how. Makes me glad I have a brother that's an engineer.

You may get more and better help in the mech mod section. That was a popular mod so I think you'll get some answers.

Also, if you can remember the sites, would love to know who has the clones for sale if they are in the USA. PM me if you remember.

I should get rid of my "customized" smok magneto 2.

(I added a piece of the right size shrink wrap to give it better grip.)

Not a bad little mech for $15 (gearbest clearance), though I never used it much. I vastly prefer the Ehpro Armor Prime, with the 21700 and side fire button, though it's not a true mech.

I also have a TW Odyssey 18650M and an original Lernaia Hydra (gorgeously crafted Greek mod), though I don't use either.

(For true mechs my primary stash is multiple squonkers, including spare modmaker connectors and copper plate to make new contacts. A mech squonker works just as well with a tank on top if I want to run an rta.)

For a good 3D printed carbon fiber mech squonker, I still like the Skullkandy Alchemist. Decent body, 21700, modmaker silver contacts, low maintenance and just plain works. I picked up a second of those, with the first one in my daily driver rotation.

    Hi, how are you?

Not likely to survive for long. If anything works, they will come up with another plan to ban it without saying they are banning it. I expect it to become not allowed anywhere in public as the next move.
It's unreal, soooo glad I have a healthy stash. I'll probably pick up more coils tho, maybe a few tanks. I haven't been using much besides my Solo and Zenith tank, been lazy and not building LOL

Right? I love my Solos. And I love the Zenith and Sceptre coils and devices. I'm back to premade coils--after all those years of rebuilding. :)

So, Vape NW has suddenly closed down its site, with a "returning shortly" notice. Right. I remember at one time they were a kick-az site with fast shipping, lots of inventory. The fire did them in I think. I guess I'm lucky, I received an Infinite CLT rda from them just last week (always liked that one). I have a soft spot for retro gear, I admit.

I really might just have to change my name to "Tootle Puffing". Love it, haha.

I'm rather surprised that more shops aren't having huge clearance sales to unload inventory. At least I haven't seen many and the ones I have don't have much of interest. Not that I need anything but I'm always on the lookout for a deal.

Thanks! I ended up grabbing another clone anyway, but I think I will get a set of these pins and some magnetic switches as well just to have on hand. Little buggers are easy to lose.

@hittman I'm surprised I'm not seeing more massive sales also, the big sites have nothing announcing this on their sites front page at all, business as usual....then what, sudden shut down of the site like VapeNW did? No 50% off, no thanks for the memories? Probably don't want a crush of last minute orders that they can't mail out anyway, but still.

I don't know if they have high hopes of finding alternate shipping or what but I expected some real blow out sales. I guess we'll just have to wait to see as the cut off date draws closer.

I strongly suspect they are well aware that many people are finally waking up to the problems coming and are on a buying frenzy. They therefore have little reason to drop prices since people are throwing money at them. At the very end we might see the blowout sales as they try to unload stock but for now these companys see little reason to do it.
