I'm not exactly weaning myself off. See, I was never addicted to cigarettes because of the chemicals - They helped me during finals week and the first few weeks of a job, but they were never THAT important to me.
I was, however, addicted to the act of smoking. It was a compulsion for me. I talk a lot, and I'm jittery. I just always need to be doing something with my hands, and something with my mouth (minds out of the gutters, come on.) I'm a cigar and pipe smoker, when I started working my last job, there was no way of me having either of those luxuries, so I kept cigarettes on hand to have a small smoke between shifts. I also, through some friends, got really attracted to hookah smoking. I enjoyed the hell out of that.
But all of those things are tobacco products. The cigarettes worst of all, the hookah less bad but still quite bad, and cigars and pipes are negligibly harmful (you don't inhale) but still not good, especially when paired with the rest.
Then I found an e-cig. Portability of cigarettes, size of a cigar, clouds and flavors like a hookah, and it has the "ritual" that I love in pipes. The assembly, packing the bowl right, a careful lighting, tamping, etc. I get all of those from RBAs, tinkering with mods, etc.
So I have no intent to wean down, I just cut tobacco majorly out of my life
