Im still waiting on my new a2 so I can get my wick and wire! the fiberglass wick I have now jus has this funk to it, I got it not to have a burnt taste and it just has a bad chemical taste so im soaking it in water for a few days now.

Yeah, waiting is best since there are always slight differences so your iAtties may work on the Precises without worry, but the Precise top caps are setup exactly the same so that we can depend on them to always be what we expect them to be.
Jimbalny, I've got some of that ceramic wick too and does give an odd flavor to my juices as well but what really freaked me out was that it shreds the second it touches the metal of the coil. If you've found a way to make it a touch more pliable for wrapping the coils I'd sure love to know. Thanks

I had finally gotten a decent taste with the wick I have, been soaking it for a few days - changing the water often so it doesn't mold up. Even poured some peroxide in there to ensure it doesn't. It's this thick fiberglass braided stuff (about as thick as 5 of the original wick), pulled it apart and took 4 strands and made a coil. The wick is pretty small, the coil so loose that I can pull the wick out if I tried. The taste is good, just goes dry really quick if I try chain vaping it. Looks like maybe the way it was braided so tight was impeding the flow of juice. Going to try it the way I was before so I know if its that the wick needed to be cleaned or I just needed to use smaller pieces.
I have a piece of XS-116 in a A2, I washed it first and it was ready to go, it wicks really well loads of vapor good TH and flavour
Are you using the Nextel xc 116 ceramic stuff? I've got some of that Nextel xc 116 and it's the most confounded stuff as it shreds with a mere look at the coil about to be wrapped around it. If it's not the xc 116 you're using is it the iAtty type? I still have to try the iAtty type of wick. So far the stuff that comes with the A2 works best as long as I don't try to use my more subtle tasting juices on it then it imparts this odd flavor and somehow manages to increase the TH. But alas I'm new to these rebuildable attys and true understanding of them will come in time, I hope.
Whatever type I've got is a big PIA it came with another rebuildable I got but like you I think I'm going to stick with the stuff that comes with the A2. Now if someone could only find the source so we could get larger amounts of it.
The wick your talking about (i think) is a pita. I wash it in PGA. Then unwind it.
I have a source for the same wick bulli uses. Aprox 120$ shipped for 800 meters. I just haven't found anyone serious in buying large amounts. That's about .15¢ per meter vs 2.50$ a meter from bulli.
