Here's my epipeMods Rhodesian with bliSS atomizer.
IMG_20120920_200640.jpg

Notice there's no juice in the tank yet. Couple of reasons.
1. This is my first Genesis stlye (I have a penelope) rba, I have yet to find a video tutorial for the bliSS specifically. Which atomizer would you guys say it's closest to the bliSS for set-up and can anyone recommend a good video or list of instructions?
2. I am trying to decide on buying a multimeter or a Provari. HMMMMM....

I also got my Penelope:

It came with 1 made up resistance/no resistance wire and some wick, I built it up and not having a multimeter I was not sure if I got it right but it worked like a charm and the masses of vapor/flavour suggests I got it bang on!
For you Canadian Penelope guys and gals out there, can someone recommend a canadian site for wick and no resistance wire? Is there somewhere where I can get pre-made wires for the Penelope? What wick do you like to order to do the replacements?
Thanks a million!

Princess Auto has a digital pocket multimeter for $10. Maybe you can afford both the meter and ProVari!

Switcher has silver nonresistance wire and various wick supplies that would be small parcel so you get shipping for a couple bucks.

I think i should probably start a new coil

No need, take a clean unused toothbrush (not that Colgate crap that is flavored like mint), and brush your coils, give em a good scrub and a dry burn with no fluid in the tank and refill. No need to build a new coil just because of buildup.

Congrats man. Looking forward to hearing about your first wick!

It looks like I'll have to wait a least a year to get completely frustrated and angry ....its all good because, because, wait for it my wonderful ZAP comes with Kanthal, and pre rolled wicks .

So all I have to do is curse and swear about bad coils, shorts and other things. Can't have everything

Can't wait

Just oxidize the hell out of the wick. Take all the wick making strategies and roll them into one ... bingo. Can't go wrong right?

Well it worked for me anyway

A couple tricks I picked up in diff. forums for Genesis stuff:

-Drill bit that fits into the holes
-Roll your mesh to the same size of said drill bit
-Cut a lenght of wire, heat it with a lighter (removes the gunk and also removes the spring action from it so when you wind your coil,it mostly retains the shape and inner size) then wind your coil on the drill bit
-Slide coil on mesh wick, slide everything in hole, attach wires, smear with juice, test.

Its also good to break-in the whole thing on a low voltage mechanical mod if you have one

Then when you got this somewhat mastered, roll your Uwicks

-Need to cut a piece of mesh diagonally (it bends almost alone),same process as aforementioned, wicks a damn lot and way better than a straight wick...you hold it in its shape, then blow torch it to make it retain its shape:no more dry top wicks, way less hotspots

On my mini hellfire,a Uwick absorbs almost 1.5ml of juice!

What about doing the coils before you insert the wick into the "wicking hole" and before connecting it to the neg and pos posts. Wouldn't you then be certain of as close to possible perfect coil?

Finally got around to giving this a try and I can tell you that if you haven't master oxidizing your mesh yet do go here 'cause once you've made the wick you can't burn it with a torch :)

Got some 100%, unbleached natural cotton (cheesecloth at a fine foods place). Used the Jack Frost method of oxidization prior to rolling (got to get the mesh to a slate sort of look under the torch). Took some strands of cotton and made my own twisted cord. This is what goes in the middle. The picture attached is the end of the wick that I trimmed for length but it shows how the cotton is in the core.

It is incredible how the juice bubbles out of the SS at the coils!
