Wanted to report back that I re-wicked it. Usually, since my coils are so big I like to check the RTA on my ohm meter. I check it with just the coil, the put on the chimney on and make sure nothing touches or the ohms change. Wick, wet and give it a quick fire to make sure it's all ok and check in the ohm meter, pop the chimney back on to make sure everything is still fitting right, then fill it back up. The only issue here for me is I usually don't have the airflow control on, so I space out and put it all together without the airflow control and fill it up. Still, I've had only one small leak when I first got it from doing that and nothing else. I left it filled overnight with the airflow wide open and no leaks even though it rests slightly tilted.
I'm still having a bit of issues figuring it out to my tastes. I re-wicked tightly this time, but got a scorched hit when I took it up to 80 watts. I made this build to have a similar heat flux as my build on my Mutation Xv4 at 100 watts, hoping to work my way up to that to test it but haven't gotten past 70-75 watts without getting a slightly scorched taste. Before that, the flavor is amazing and even though I'm really into giant, thick clouds, this gives very thick vapor that gives me a very satisfying vape, even though the clouds, obviously, won't be as big as my MXv4 and it's build at 150w. It's definitely everything I was hoping it would be, and a great addition for those moments you can't/don't feel like/or are too lazy to drip.
And now a question to everyone else. What's the biggest/craziest coils you've put in your Cthulhu?
