"We" know, that in today's world, "vaping" is just a "physical process" (or method) used to vaporize substances and inhale them. We know some substances are safe, and others not so much. The media has led the public to believe the "process" (or method) is unsafe, when really it is certain "substances" that are unsafe, nicotine NOT being one of them.

We are not given to thinking about much of anything, emotion rules the day. A population's emotions are rather easily manipulated while a thinking population is less easily manipulated.

Who cares, this is an epidemic crisis and something must be done.
Whether that "something" makes sense or is effective or not, something must be done.

5 People Dying and 200 People getting Sick is Not an Epidemic.

450,000 People Dying in a Year is.

But that has been going on for So Long, I guess any sense of Urgency has Diminished. Especially when the value of Human Life is tallied on the Scales of Tax Revenues and Political Aspirations.

One of the best unbiased journalistic news reports I've seen recently, and its from Australia where vaping is apparently banned.

If you are on a social media service, I recommend sharing this video.

Ignore that heretic, we will deal with him appropriately as well as those enablers who had him on.

He'll be called a Nazi, chased out of restaurants, and ostracized into oblivion.

Almost sounds like they are talking about a device communicating with the manufacturer, and the manufacturer sending instructions back to the device to alter the vape.

a) Collecting data via devices, including directly or indirectly from the devices via electronic communication with the device itself, on user preferences and use patterns should be banned. If this ban is not in place, then data collected on devices regarding user preferences and use of device should be shared with governments.

b) Manufacturers and third parties should be prohibited from using data on use patterns from devices to feedback to the devices to control the performance of the device, such as controlling puff patterns and intensity or recommending changes in liquid or tobacco plugs.

If there is one thing governments and particularly politicians fear is a thinking population.

That was/is a plan from Juul. They want to link up to a smartphone to ensure only the "proper" overage user can access and vape on their device. I guess they figure you won't get a hold of dad's iPhone and know his password to use his Juul. This is of course predicated on their "unprecedented industry leading standards of age verification" being in place.

Interesting to note for DNA users is the current data collection eScribe passes off to ECigStats if you allow it to.

That's scary. If you had to have a phone in your pocket to vape they could use that to disable the mod if you tried to use it in a public building or park, and all sorts of big brother mischief. I guess it's technically possible. I remember us joking about stuff like that here years ago.
