Disgusting.
Be glad you weren’t here to see the “gee this sure isn’t biased, or why base it on facts”top of the evening news report by the “medical reporter”. Most of it was about the “death is imminent for all vapers, quit now!” Followed by information for the “quit line” to find the right nrt or who to go to for prescription “quitting” medicine. Yep, frankly shocked my head didn’t explode.

It could be! The rest is probably all that Cajun seasoning y'all are spiking it with... :D
(Good stuff with food, BTW)
Spicy is right lol!
No one is going to admit to having THC since it is a criminal offense. Medical mj has only very recently been released, and only to people suffering from a very small number of incurable diseases/conditions such as end stage cancer or uncontrollable epilepsy..... and only then (no edibles or leaf) as a tincture suspended in coconut oil to be taken orally.

Why can’t they stop chasing the rating raising sound bites and just report the freaking FACTS. Oh wait, ratings =$$$$. If you’re interested in a look into M Bloomberg’s nose in news, here’s a snippet from Forbes magazine from 2016. Who knows who else he’s bought since then...

Not all Admins have access to PMs, there are different levels for Admins too.
I do NOT have access - so feel free to trash me as much as you want.
As far as I know Oliver is the only one that has ever had full permissions like that for privacy sake - and I know he has no desire to read your PMs.
Awesome!! Hmm...now who loves a good gossip?...

Idiots (regulators).

Who knows? They could be vaping the coconut oil...
I’m betting on “black market” stuff. I don’t think there’s enough out yet to be misused/pilfered. The number of patients approved so far for a prescription is only a handful because of the small number of things it can be legally prescribed for. Then....It’s dispensed by a small number of authorized pharmacies, not dispensaries like other states. It’s only been available since August. NOLA is progressive, but the north end of the state is right of right wing, so we tend to have fairly conservative laws.

I don't know if it'll make you feel better, but kids were lying (at least initially) even in the states where pot is legal, like here in CA. They were probably afraid of admitting to their parents that they were smoking dope. Besides, it's illegal here for minors (under 21), and many of those admitted to hospitals were young and mostly male.

Sorry to those of you who don't have Face Book. Another interview superbly handled by Greg Conley. "You think vaping is OK? What's wrong with you, Greg Conley?" Even the show's main host seemed embarrassed by the jerk interviewer by saying, "Thank you Greg Conley. That must have been tough."

Sorry to those of you who don't have Face Book.
Just copy the URL from the address bar and past it into the post, but put [PLAIN] in front of it.

Like [PLAIN]http://www.facebook.com/.......

It won't be a link, people will have to copy and paste it. So do it twice so people with FB can just click on it. ;)

Trump backs off flavored vape ban he once touted

Some highlights:

Vapers who were proactive against Trump's proposed flavor ban appear to have had an effect on Trump reconsidering it.

"Officials were poised to announce they would order candy, fruit and mint flavors off the market within 30 days — a step the president had promised almost two months earlier. But on Nov. 4, the night before a planned morning news conference, the president balked. Briefed on a flight to a Lexington, Ky., campaign rally, he refused to sign the one-page “decision memo,” saying he didn’t want to move forward with a ban he had once backed, primarily at his wife’s and daughter’s urging, because , said a Trump adviser who spoke on the condition of anonymity to reveal internal deliberations

"Officials said the blowback to Trump’s vow to ban most flavored e-cigarettes had rattled him. In an aggressive social media campaign — #IVapeIVote — advocates claimed the ban would shut down thousands of shops, eliminating jobs and sending vapers back to cigarettes. The president saw protesters at events and read critical articles. His campaign manager, Brad Parscale, privately warned the ban could hurt him in battleground states, said a person who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations. Trump was now upset with Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar, who had taken the lead in rolling out the plan, said three officials familiar with the discussions.

“He didn’t know much about the issue and was just doing it for Melania and Ivanka,” said a senior administration official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to share the discussions.

Late last week, more than a dozen White House officials met to try to find a way forward. “Will be meeting with representatives of the Vaping industry, together with medical professionals and individual state representatives, to come up with an acceptable solution to the Vaping and E-cigarette dilemma,” Trump tweeted last week. “Children’s health & safety, together with jobs, will be a focus!”

...just before stepping down, Gottlieb proposed restricting sales of most flavored e-cigarettes to adult-only stores, or ones with adult-only sections and heightened age verification. But the proposals were never finalized and by late summer, officials began getting new data that showed a second sharp increase in teen vaping. FDA and HHS officials decided an outright ban would be easier to enforce and more effective.

Joe Grogan, the head of the Domestic Policy Council, told reporters it was “a huge waste of time” for the agency to regulate tobacco products and wondered if there was a better place to do so. Internally, aides said there was no longer a united front.

On Nov. 9, Trump’s helicopter
, taking him to the Alabama-LSU football game, flew over hundreds (it was actually thousands--Baditude) of vaping enthusiasts organizing to protest the flavor ban gathered on the Ellipse.

Emboldened vaping advocates said if the industry beats back a federal flavor ban, it must continue to flex its muscle to address proliferating state and local prohibitions, as well as a court-ordered deadline of May 2020 when manufacturers must file applications with the FDA to continue selling e-cigarettes. Firms that don’t file could be forced off the market.

“We need to reignite the issue and make the administration and the reelection team aware that the magnitude of the threat in May 2020 is just as huge and industry-crushing as the flavor ban is today,” said Greg Conley of the vaping association."

Despite giving vaping advocates some newfound optimism, we can not slack off from continued calling the White House, emailing the President, and contacting our state representatives concerning this issue.

Alex Azar is gonna be in some trouble. And that's a good thing.

Guys, catch your politics and make them watch it like that:
Screen-Shot-2016-01-17-at-4.44.46-AM.png

Few times in a row if needed.

My favorite quote from this: "I would always vote for a c0ck-up over a conspiracy." (And then for a bonus a bit later he references the Mitchell and Webb "Are we the baddies?" sketch.)

Greg Conley is exactly the kind of person we need to speak for our side in this battle. Intelligent, measured and a full grasp of the issues.

My read says this was setup to be an "ambush interview". Likely by a Yahoo finance editor. Notice "J.T." does not state his full name, is not sitting at the table with the others, and is cut-in rather quickly without lead, transition, or warning. My reading says the others also look nervous before the interview and there is the apology afterwards.

Propaganda and information warfare techniques are fully deployed in the U.S. The onslaught of "news", conflagration of nicotine with THC, experimental results based on three blind mice, access to Trump through Ivania (save the children!), etc. right to the attempted "flavor ban" were no accident. I believe CDC's repeated attribution of lung injury to "vaping" (rather than THC cartridges) was also no accident. The only element unplanned was timing which as this was precipitated by Honey Cut, et al.

It is time for Trump to fire CDC Principle Director Anne Schuchat. There is little doubt her obtuse and incoherent communication, and failure to clearly communicate known facts, caused additional harm if not deaths. Anyone have the skills to get this trending on social media?

I, myself, would aim One notch higher and tell Redfield that he has till Noon to empty out his Desk. And to turn in his Parking Pass.

But if Schuchat also got the Sack, I wouldn't Cry a River.

BTW - I'm Not sure if the President can Directly fire a Principle Director of the CDC?
