There's ways around that. Just have friends and family from other states buy it and ship it to you. Don't have any, you say? Yes you do, you have a whole forum full of them. The only extra cost is the shipping to you.

Then I better start being more active in this forum again!

As Uncle mentioned, nothing has been Passed on the Federal Level.

But you might want to Read this...

When Governor Gavin Newsom (D) submits his revised budget proposal on Thursday, it will include a vapor tax increase. California currently taxes vapor products at 59.27 percent of wholesale value, but the proposal would impose an additional tax at a rate of $2 for each 40 milligrams of nicotine in the product. The tax would take effect January 1, 2021 and is forecasted to raise $32 million in FY 2021.

California the Latest to Propose Higher Vapor Taxes.

And just for Reference: There is 100,000 miligrams of Nicotine in 1 Liter of 100mg/ml Nicotine Base.

Thanks for that additional information. This affects me directly as I live in CA. I will read the article now

    Hold Up.

I just did some Digging to verify the Effective Dates were correct. And it Looks like the "Nicotine Tax" didn't make the Final Passage of the Budget.

"While the Budget does not include a new tax on e-cigarettes based on nicotine content, the Administration remains committed to working with the Legislature to enact this measure."

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
"Hate Speech" is who Different Animal. And brings up Subjective Concepts as well as 1st Amendment Rights issues.

Of course it is, bu there are similarities in the way the govt approached the 2 situations and my point was to show that there is a solution, even with vape, because vape is not outlawed globally.

The Big Problem is that one involves Commerce. And Shipping a Product to a Buyers Door inside the USA.

If a law is like enacted or whatever they can go back to the date of the law and enforce it, I THINK?

I mean, should they have the means and ability to.

Clearly, Glantz must come out of retirement and become: "The Enforcer" Part 17 and he runs around trying to enforce illegal cigarette sales until (at least in my movie) he is killed horribly during the Matrix number whatever motorcycle chase.

Lets face it that retirement did not contain enough Pomp and Circumstance. He is probably under cover RIght. Now.

Waiting for the helmet to come off and the head to split. It would be really cool if he were a paraplegic then, and he had a Red Bull addiction. I would actually PAY good money to dangle Red Bull over his head, waggle it, and then like, uh, say, "I'm sorry Glantz Red Bull gives you wings. See you tomorrow."

But I never liked that dude very much, lets face it. I tried to turn the other cheek, even on here, like be the devil's advocate occasionally but it was half-hearted. I have decided no mercy works better.

I think the FDA is gonna be playin' "whack a mole" for many years to come. I sincerely hope that they run into "that guy", that has had enough, and doesn't want to take it anymore at some point. Maybe it will be the shot heard round the world...

    :pop:

I knew we were in some sort of Time Warp!

We are. Seems just a while back it was The Wild West of vaping and yet we managed to do just fine.

    Now...

    It's astounding

"Reynolds American Inc. (RAI), has filed its final premarket tobacco product application (PMTA) submissions with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to allow its Vuse and Velo brands to remain on the market in the United States.

Submitted Sept. 4, the filing concludes an 11-month process for RAI. The company has filed six applications for its Vuse Solo, Vuse Ciro and Vuse Vibe vapor products, as well as for its Velo nicotine lozenge and modern oral pouch products. Across the six applications, more than 530,000 pages of scientific data and more than 8,600 scientific documents have been submitted as part of the filings."

RAI Concludes PMTA Filings With Vuse and Velo Submissions - Tobacco Reporter

I wonder How Long it would take the Average Person to Read 530,000 Pages?

At 1 Minute per page, that comes out to about 8800 Hours. Or just under Four and One Half Years working 40 Hours a Week.

And that Doesn't account for Cross-Referencing to the 8,600 Pages of "Scientific Documents" to see if Any of it is even True?

The average government employee would read the first few pages and either stamp it approved or send it back for whatever reason, likely with a link to a 500 page reference to explain generically why it wasn't accepted.
